UK government has unveiled an extensive list of licensed companies authorized to sponsor skilled immigrants under the temporary worker immigration route. The list, last revised on January 12, 2024, now comprises a total of 99,856 approved companies, demonstrating a significant increase from the 68,630 recorded in January 2023. Covering a wide range of sectors, including technology, commerce, education, media, and engineering, among others, these licensed companies play a crucial role in facilitating the relocation of skilled workers, including those from Nigeria, to fill vacant positions within their organizations. The skilled worker route encomes various categories, such as charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility (senior or specialist workers), and international sportspersons. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to explore available opportunities by visiting the respective company websites and utilizing job search platforms like GOV.UK, Total Jobs, Indeed, LinkedIn, and more. To assist potential applicants, here is a selection of companies from the extensive list: 1. RSS Express Ltd T/A Ledbury Fuel Service Station 2. IECC Care (Independent Excel Care Consortium Limited) 3. AboutCare Hastings Ltd 4. ESS Ltd 5. Architect UK Ltd 6. Home Accommodation Services Ltd 7. Ur Eaz Ltd 8. Infiniti Limited 9. Brunswick Stores Limited 10. Plus Care Ltd This update comes as the UK continues to streamline its immigration processes and provide opportunities for skilled individuals to contribute to the country’s workforce. As the list expands, it opens up avenues for collaboration and cross-border talent exchange between the UK and Nigeria. |

Rape and abuse are totally unacceptable even by T.B Joshua but I know a lot of you must've watched Surviving R.Kelly, the interviews and whatever, funny enough, comedian Dave Chapelle(no pun intended )in one of his specials recounted how the producer of the documentary ed him to be a part of the documentary. Dave Chapelle said he told her (the producer) that he knows absolutely nothing about Robert Kelly, later he said the producer went on TV to say Dave said the documentary would be too hot for TV. Some of these so called documentary maybe scripted, it seems you underestimate the power of the media and the motivation that money gives. how Michael Jackson was also vilified. Human beings can be very wicked. 51 Likes 10 Shares |

PressMyButton: Maybe in an alternate universe where Yorubas are not part of Nigeria. Presently that's impossible, it's the first time they are witnessing the mightier hands of the Yorubas and it'll be felt both physically and on the web. They are at loss, they want to keep warring but don't want to keep getting defeated 7 Likes 2 Shares |

SSFeedsNigeria: You obviously new to this game, your energy is quite high, I know the feeling when you assume the role of a tribal defender, I was once in your shoes years ago, when the likes of jetlee, ss1panter ran riot on Ibos in politics section. Times have changed. As an entity on nairaland your topics seem to be the most obtuse and brainless. Quantity bit no iota of quality, if you want to be a tribal warlord bring your brain into the game. Check the comments of legendher, seunmzg, laudat, omohyek, jetle e.t.c Myd44 is Till Date my most hated , I gloated when his picture was leaked on nairaland years ago😀, the fvkka banned my defunct till 2036 that was at 2016 thereabout. I believe I'm not the only Yoruba who fell victim to his paroxysm of harsh punishment but I have never called for his sack. The guy is going nowhere. In fact we die here. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Acidosis: It's a shame you're not a very smart person. This topic is a reaction to some assertion, in case you've forgotten, Seun spelt it out. I don't think that's too difficult to unless your memory is vaporish. Tribal insults are most times between the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria, Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo. It's usually a one on one thing with the third playing the entertained bystander. I'm not aware that Yorubas have engaged plateau people on tribal wars either on nairaland or Twitter. In recent times this tribal superiority contest, mud slinging and slur making has been on all time high between Ibos and Yorubas, is it something to be proud of? I don't think so. But a certain tribe pretend to be the victim all the time, they always claim not to be the offender, which is an obvious lie. I have never seen any of the Yoruba belligerents here call out any Ibo to be sacked as much as myn44 has been reported by Ibos. Both sides are guilty and Seun shouldn't be guilt-tripped because he's Yoruba. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Who are those who ran to twitter to celebrate the temporary shutdown of nairaland? Who are those calling out myd44 to be banned? Who are those crying all over Nigeria that they're persecuted? Look no further for the tribalists with their cancel culture. They'll only be happy if they've an upper hand in any conflict either tribal or political. Any statistics released that do not favour their bias is false irrespective of the body that published the information. Ogbeni Seun nothing do your forum, are there no tribalists on Twitter or Facebook. Viva Nairaland 16 Likes 4 Shares |

Stop blackmailing the rich. No matter how cheap emeka sells okrika shirt to me at yaba, I always think I could've gotten it cheaper. Let's all pray to God to make us all poor if he's unwilling to make all of us rich. At least we'll stop whining like bitches. |

Baba became quiet as the investigation was about to start, he paid homages to his deities, said some prayers. He mentioned the name of the specific oracle that he would be consulting, ask specific question obvious to all of us in the room and tell the oracle that if he was telling a lie let the leaves be still, but if he was saying the truth let the leaves moves apart. Note: He stacked the leaves in opposite direction some facing him my neighbour held on to that, the rest facing my neighbour Baba held on to those. The investigation went like this: Baba: Olu ( name of oracle) there are ten people in this room if yes stay( they'll try to pull the leaves apart) the leaves didn't move, we were three all male. Baba : Olu, we all wearing agbada(none of us wore) the leaves refused to move Olu there are two men and a woman in this room, the leaves refused after pulling Olu there are three men in this room, the leaves moved Baba now told my neighbour to stand for me to take his seat, I eagerly switched places, I was ready to tear the leaves apart, Baba now told my neighbour and myself that the reason he wanted me to try was that I won't have the notion that whom ever was picked during the investigation was not predetermined by my neighbour due to some rancour or underlying resentment between them. He requested for the paper containing the names, and we started Baba: Olu , kemi stole the money Tried as I wished to pull these leaves, for where? I dragged and dragged, nibo! Baba: Olu , dele stole the money Same thing, I pulled nothing the leaves didn't move an inch I kept trying but baba continued asking Olu as he read from the list Then we got to a different name Baba: Olu, john stole the money. With the littlest of effort the leaves slid apart as if they were greased with oil. The doors of my mouth were flung apart. Baba continued with his mission with relative equanimity. We continued till we exhausted the names on the list and never but once at the mention of John's name did those mysterious leaves moved. 1 Like |

We got to our destination, the house was clean well painted and paved, I followed closely behind my neighbour, he announced our presence, calling the patron of the abode. In a moment we were ushered into a small room by an old man in his early seventies, I guess. After due salutation and introduction, and offering of drinks and kolanut which I gracefully rejected. My neighbour proceeded to narrate to Baba what happened yesterday, and why he took up the matter so seriously (long story), he told Baba he wanted to know who stole the cleaner's money and from his breastpocket produced the names of every living thing in our compound, neatly written on paper. Baba stood up, went to a corner of the room, the floor of that portion was not tiled, just natural earth I believe, he sat on a stool beckoned on us to come to sit on the stools directly opposite him, so we sat facing him. He picked some leaves( similar to those used to wrap pounded yam and eko) from the floor. He picked up to ten, some dry others still fresh, he piled the leaves together, took a needle from the floor impaled the leaves, placed a flat metal the size of kitchen spatula ( orogun) across the leaves, all the while doing this, he was joked with us about Buhari economics, seeing we are lagosians (woke people) 1 Like |

This thread is not created to the efficacy of Juju or demystify its potency, rather, it is to share an experience. Choose the side of the divide that suits you. On a certain morning, I was an enthusiastic sojourner in my neighbour's car on a very long journey, we were travelling to the east of Lagos state, our destination a town within southwestern Nigeria. We needed to confirm certain truths about an incident in the house we occupied, both of us rented two of the flats (we became acquainted in the house) in our compound of four flats and boys quarters A day prior to our travel, in what could be described as a story pulled out of Arthur Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series, the compound was in turmoil. The woman that sweeps our compound has just been paid her monthly salary, she took it from the designated 'chief tenant'. In her sobbing words, she kept it in her bag, dropped the bag near the borehole pump, when she came back from gossiping with the seamstress occupying one of the rooms in the boy's quarters, her duly earned money was nowhere to be found. It was a typical Saturday morning, everybody was at home, teenagers were playing while running errands, kids were being kids, just a typical noisy weekend. Accusing fingers were pointed, parents defended their children, buried hatchets were unearthed, people cursed and swore. The peace we once enjoyed vanish, the atmosphere became sore. 1 Like 1 Share |

Are the marks long and thick, like facial tribal marks on faces of 'lucky' Yoruba people? If yes, then your girl is definitely from Ondo City in Ondo State. Those particular marks belong to a group of family called 'Otunba/Jomu' who in ancient times were d with the Osemawe of Ondo, his majesty the King. The marks are drawn on the right side of their descendants chest either male or female. In case the mark differs from what is described above, I have no knowledge on what it could be. 1 Like |
