Ndume: When you say kleptocrats, it's not like they are stealing.
They are in Government to make money.

But kleptomania is defined as an irresistible impulse to steal in the absence of any economic motive.

Ali Ndume politically avoided the definition of who a kleptomaniac is. Simply put a kleptomaniac is one who steals.

If they are not stealing, why are they kleptocrats? If they are not stealing, why are they so defined?

Let’s speak plainly — Tinubu has no plan. None. What started with hope has spiraled into blind economic pillaging.

Oil prices are crashing, yet instead of belt-tightening or fostering local production, he’s borrowing like a terminal gambler at the end of his tether. From fuel subsidy to forex, he’s removed every cushion from the average Nigerian’s life — without building a single project to show for the suffering.

Compare him to Obasanjo — who, despite criticisms, paid subsidies, built national infrastructure, secured debt forgiveness, and didn’t mortgage our children’s future in exchange for fragile IMF kudos. Tinubu? He’s selling off tomorrow for today’s press release.

He borrows with no repayment strategy, as if the loans only matter after he’s long gone. He’s looting our collective credit score, leaving a scorched-earth fiscal landscape for whoever comes next. Every contract, every deal, every policy reeks of survivalist governance — not nation-building.

We wanted a strategist.
We got a desperado with a calculator.
The painful truth: Tinubu’s presidency is costing us more than money — it’s bleeding our future.

Very deceitful data. Very dubious, complete lie, complete fallacy.

So to the writer Lagos generated 10b. Now it is the business of states and no longer local governments standing on the own?

Get to Lagos and check out the revenue of Lagos Island alone, not to talk of Apapa, Ojo and Alimosho. These local governments alone generate revenues in hundreds of billions. Nonsense writer.

Senator Ndume is just showing the side he belongs to.. those who didn't want PBAT to emerge as President in 2023.
Instead of facing the insurgency ravaging hs home State, he is busy throwing tantrums at Mr. Onanuga, an amiable SSA to President Tinubu.

So it is the duty of a Senator to attend to security matters? So it is the duty of a Senator to deploy soldiers or tell them what to do?

You must be the senior domestic servant on nonsense talk.

Is Ogwashi-Ukwu not the headquarters of Aniocha South? Why report it as Oshimili North. Or is there another Ogwashi-Ukwu in Oshimili North?

Why is this Ned wanting to force everyone in Delta North into a new state. Is it by force? Who send am? Who made him the spokesman of all Delta North (Anioma people). Who told him Anioma people want to leave Delta state and form a new state. The man is just fighting for a state where he will be a governor with ease.

That’s the fault of the writer. Ogwashi uku has always been the headquarter of Aniocha South.

The singular reason that took Ned to APC is the desire of Okowa to return to the Senate on the PDP ticket in 2027. Delta north is complete PDP territory. Okowa will beat any candidate hands down there.

Again, what’s the purpose for Sheriff to decamp to APC when he knows that APC cannot uproot PDP in Delta state as a whole. The major challenge for everyone of them is the Obidients. Even with Ibori trying to hand over Delta state to APC, they will lose woefully in 2027.

The Fulani man is certainly a Fulani man and the Niger Delta man knows himself and his family. Bala Muhammad can only confuse himself and his fellow Fulani people.

This country has been at war since 2015, when Buhari became the President and we were told of the Fulanis desire to capture the whole nation to the sea.

Why not tell us that a Niger Delta man is a Fulani man? Or that Yorubas, Igbos, Efiks, Itsekiris, Binis, etc are Fulani people. We hear the word globalized citizen when they want to serve the wicked and evil purposes. The Niger Deltans have diverse languages. There’s nothing like Niger Delta language.

Why identify Bayelsa as the place of the Fulanis?
Simply gather them together. Let there be ranches, built and well maintained by herdsmen. They can afford to build their ranches, or governors of the Fulani stock can kickstart it for them. They have no business moving from place to place, killing, raping and destroying peoples properties. Even with the livestock ministry established because of them, there’s no peace anywhere in the country.

I think Buba Galadima has miscalculated completely.
By his words, I perceive that Galadima has in a subtle manner informed us of the intention of El Rufai to contest the Presidency in 2027 and 2031. El Rufai cannot be a placeholder to anyone; not even when he was not at this height in his political trajectory.

I do not foresee the fusing together of parties in the like of APC in 2014 happening again. Some of the major players in 2014, either have remained with the APC, decamped or chosen to stay aloof.

Atiku has over the years moved from PDP to ACN, to APC and back to PDP. He was also a member of SDP in the days of Abiola/Shehu Yaradua. The last election taught him a deep lesson. He lost two people strong persons because of his miscalculations. They were Peter Obi and Nyesom Wike. Obi had the people and Wike had the financial muscle. Presently, Atiku is getting de-marketed by Wike and co., but even at that, he has no reason at this stage of his political career to return to SDP, where he knows that his chances would be much lower.

We must also not forget that by their power sharing calculations, the South has a further four years to do after 2027. BAT intends to complete two as is customary with them. How to defeat BAT on the platform of PDP should be Atiku’s priority. Who will be the suitable southern candidate to go against BAT should be the priority. APC is the ruling party, with a strong southern candidate. APC will not give chances, especially as the party intends to handover to a northern candidate in 2031, if possible. Therefore northern of the APC will not fold their hands and watch the party lose to any other party, not especially to the north in 2027.

How to reposition PDP, badly damaged by the same Galadima, Atiku and co, should be uppermost in his heart.

I do not expect SDP to make more inroads than it made in 2023. There’s no nationally accepted leader in the party, who can galvanize the citizens. El Rufai certainly is not in that mould.

No matter the permutations, moving over to SDP for 2027, will prove a costly mistake to Atiku.

Not at all,I was just wondering why someone would loot that much and think they won't come after him if he remains in Nigeria..

Unfortunately we don't have strong systems in place to discourage this looting and corruption and that is why when the average Nigerian finds himself in such tempting positions he ends up falling because look at how people like Yahaya bello and his likes are living freely and are even trying to sabotage a dully elected senator so as to take her position and escape trail..

That is why the average Nigerian would rather still massively when given the opportunity because those who are supposed to be leaders to show examples are worse, from the Number 1citizen down to the Judiciary and police all rotten to the core.

Real sad and as long as Nigerians are NOT ready to change and start electing the right people to power,Nigerians will continue to steal when they get the chance to do so. It is what it is sadly.

Thank you for correcting yourself.

Integrity is a serious problem in our nation. We are at the level where stealing, looting and all forms of corrupt practices no longer matter to the people. Bring home the money, no matter the source and get the praise and .

We need strong, honest leaders, who can help us get out of the mess.

Cheers.

“ In the affidavit, Nadabo told the court that Tijani worked at the settlement office of the bank and that he had the capacity to carry out some inalienable access available only to the office by virtue of his office.

He stated further in the affidavit that “He, therefore, carried out illegal, unauthorised and fraudulent activities against First Bank Nigeria Plc.

No Kano governor’s delegate to visit Delta state to see the state of affairs with herdsmen there. No NEF asking for compensation for the evil done by these northerners in the entire south. No where is safe in the south anymore. Even riverine areas have been completely invaded, while the people of the land have been disarmed and handcuffed. They are at the mercy of their wicked invaders.

No Southerner can ever dare go to the North to kidnap or harm anyone either in the farms or the streets.

When will a state of emergency be declared on this act of wickedness by these so called herdsmen? What’s the business of herdsmen with leaving their cows to kidnap people for ransom and kill at will? Is it not time to allow citizens to arm themselves to defend their families and communities?

Is it not time for people to take up arms and wage war against these evil fellows? Whole communities, families and generations have been wiped away by these vampires, while people only get promises of @government is dealing with it”.

The matter of Abure was gone the moment supreme court stated that the lower courts that pronounced him as the authentic national chairman of LP had no jurisdiction to interfere in party matters!

In other words,it validates the initial stance of INEC who had refused to recognize Julius Abure as the national chairman of LP because they were not present at the national convention held by Abure at Nnewi,Onitsha!

INEC refusal to recognize the leadership of Abure not only invalidates the national convention on 27 March,2025 but also renders any NWC created by him as a nullity!

The initial position taken by INEC can be likened to an EPL game between Manchester united vs Manchester city with no referee sent to officiate the game!
No matter the outcome of the game,it stands invalidate and inconsequential without the umpire!
The only way such game can be made authentic is for the game to be replayed with a referee officiating!
Hence,The only way for INEC to recognize the LP leadership is for a national convention to be held again with the right things done which is participating and performing their over site functions as an umpire in LP's ward to LGA to state congress to national convention!

That’s exactly the situation.

Abure is simply trying to spoil the chances of his own party. He simply would have allowed the party elect the new officers last year, and try to contest again.

The Supreme Court ruled that party leadership is an internal affair. Meaning, parties decides who's their leader and not.
Party leadership is setup through national conventions which LP has conducted and Abure won.
Obi and Otti are ingrates and hellbent on destroying LP before moving to SDP.
If I'm Abure, I'll suspend them indefinitely for such aberration so they can finally go and set up their own party with anyone they like as national chairman.
See rubbish a first time governor is doing. See nonsense a presidential candidate who's supposed to be fortifying his party is doing.
There's been some exodus from LP and Obi is not worried. Otti used ZLP for LG elections and Obi isn't worried.
Two old bunch of idiotic and lunatic politicians.

Read the below and get better understanding. Your comment about is without proper reasoning.

The supreme court has set aside the judgment of the court of appeal in Abuja which recognised Julius Abure as the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP).

In a verdict delivered on Friday, a five-member of the apex court unanimously held that the appellate court lacked the jurisdiction to have affirmed Abure as chairman of the LP, since the substance of the case was about the party’s leadership.

It held that the issue of leadership is an internal affair of a party over which courts lack jurisdiction.

The court allowed the appeal filed by Nenadi Usman, a former senator representing Kaduna south, and one other — and held that there were meritorious.

It then proceeded to dismiss the cross-appeal filed by the Abure faction of the LP for lacking in merit.

BACKGROUND

In February, Oluchi Oparah, the party’s national treasurer, accused Abure of misappropriating N3.5 billion, a claim the LP chairman denied while threatening legal action.

The allegation led to calls from party for Abure’s removal.

In April 2023, the FCT high court issued an order restraining Abure from parading himself as the national chairman of the LP.

Ruling on an ex parte application, Hamza Muazu, the presiding judge, also restrained Farouk Ibrahim, national secretary; Clement Ojukwu, national organising secretary; and Opara; from parading themselves as national officers of the party.

On September 4, Usman was appointed to chair a 29-member caretaker committee after Alex Otti, governor of Abia state, convened a stakeholders meeting of the party in Umuahia.

Peter Obi, LP presidential candidate in 2023, and Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running mate, were among the top party who attended the meeting.

INEC had also invalidated Abure’s leadership, saying the national convention violated the constitution and Electoral Act.

The electoral body said the party failed to meet legal requirements for holding the convention, insisting that Abure’s tenure as LP national chair expired in June 2024.

But in a judgment on October 8, the federal high court affirmed the Abure-led leadership and the March 2024 Nnewi convention that produced the party executives.

Emeka Nwite, presiding judge, ordered INEC to recognise Abure as the legitimate chairman of the party.

APPEAL COURT

In a judgment delivered on January 17, the court of appeal ruled that its earlier decision in November 2024, recognising Abure as the party’s chairman, remains valid and has not been overturned by any court.

He said anything that is done outside jurisdiction amounts to a nullity.

Consequently, the court voided a judgment of the federal high court delivered on October 8, 2024, on the grounds that the lower court lacked the jurisdiction to hear the suit.

Your so called Abure’s election in 2024 in Nnewi was it accepted by party , not to talk of INEC.

What’s Obi’s business with the exodus from LP? How can he stop them from exiting the party, if they are no longer convinced about the party? Which party have people not been decamping from, or all the parties?

Always read and have information before making such myopic and disgraceful comments on social media spaces.

Leaders of the opposition Labour Party on Wednesday marched to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Led by the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, the were received by INEC National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun.

They asked the electoral body to recognise Nenadi Usman as the LP chairman, days after the Supreme Court set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja recognising Abure as the National Chairman of the LP.

In a unanimous judgment last week, a five-member of the apex court held that the Court of Appeal lacked the jurisdiction to have pronounced Abure National Chairman of the LP, having earlier found that the substance of the case was about the party’s leadership.

The court allowed the appeal filed by Senator Ester Usman, and one other and held that it was meritorious before subsequently proceeding to dismiss the cross-appeal filed by the Abure faction of the LP for being unmeritorious.

Otti read out the Certified True Copy of the Supreme Court judgement as delivered by Justice Inyang Okoro.

“Consequent upon the foregoing, the decisions of both higher court and the court below recognize Barrister Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the first respondent and hereby set aside and suit number FXC is hereby struck out for want of jurisdiction,” Otti said.

“In the same vein, the first respondent, that is labour party under Abure, being an offshoot of the same judgement of the court is hereby dismissed. Before I am done, may I onish political parties and their to endeavour to always abide by their constitutions, rules, regulations and guidelines to guide them in choosing their officers as well as candidates?

“That way, incessant internal risks which always find their way to court should be reduced. If the constitution of a political party has prescribed duration for tenure of office of an officer such as this one, such officer should be humble enough to leave at the expiration of the tenure.

“In the final analysis, I find this appeal to be meritorious and is hereby allowed. The party shall bear their respective cost, appeal allowed. This is signed by Honorable Justice John Inyang Okoro, Justice of the Supreme Court.”

https://www.channelstv.com/2025/04/09/obi-otti-lead-lp--to-inec-hq-want-usman-recognised-as-chair/

Very clear. Very straight forward.
The Supreme Court clearly nullified the judgement of the lower courts recognizing Abure as the national chairman. By that Abure should simply go home and sleep. The Supreme Court effectively removed him.

What is he waiting for there? He should not even get close to the secretariat, not to talk of the chairman’s office.

This has taken many years to be challenged. Let’s hear the interpretation of the supreme court.

This will help not just the affected governor(s), but the whole governors in the country. Today it is APC in power at the federal level, if another party holds federal power tomorrow, the Supreme Court interpretation will sort it out, if it repeats itself.

If Apapa had anti-party activities, how then was he better than Abure? They both plotted to foist themselves on the party and systematically destroy that party from inside. If the party had won the Presidency, what would they be doing by now? Working against your own party at elections is one of the most dishonorable things to do as a politician.
