If you’ve ever read any of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels, you’ll realise that Daniel Craig’s portrayal is perhaps the closest representation of what Fleming originally intended Bond to be ; a cold hearted British assassin. Unlike the suave, charming spy portrayed in earlier films, Craig brought a grittier, more emotionally detached version to life one that mirrors the hardened, ruthless character Fleming wrote into his books.

George Lazenby comes close.

The proposed white paper on immigration and the Graduate Route visa is honestly quite scary. It feels like the rules are shifting again, and it's becoming harder to know what to expect or how to plan. Many international students have made huge sacrifices with the hope of gaining post-study opportunities, and now there’s growing uncertainty about whether that will still be possible. Linking the right to stay to “professional roles” sounds vague and worrying, the matter tire me , what exactly qualifies, and who decides? This is a tough moment for anyone trying to build a future in the UK

Has anyone received unconditional offer from Gloucestershire?

Hello house, I need your advice.
I applied to the University of Gloucestershire for a 2-year MRes program as early as December 2024 and recently received a conditional offer.
Yesterday, I asked my cousin (who is a student there) to help follow up with issions. She was told that over 6,000 applications were received for the course, and unconditional offers will start being issued at the end of April.

Meanwhile, I also have an unconditional offer from the University of Bolton (now called the University of Greater Manchester) for a 1-year MRes. They’ve asked me to pay a deposit to receive my CAS.
However, I'm really worried because of several negative reviews online about Bolton:
People paid deposits and never received a CAS.
Some are still waiting for refunds 10 months later.
The name change is also a bit worrisome .
Now I’m confused and scared — should I wait for Gloucestershire or go ahead with Bolton despite the risks?

Please, I need your honest advice.

[Hello! Are you an only child? Is the land a full plot, and in which state is it located? Can he sell off half a plot?At 25, you have many years ahead of you. It won’t be easy, but it’s definitely possible—it all comes down to your mindset. Keep in mind, the challenges you avoid today could be missed opportunities for tomorrow.]

Hello everyone, sorry for the long write up.
I’m in a tough situation and would really appreciate your thoughts.

I’m 25 years old, and ever since I got an unconditional ission offer my father has been determined to sell his only house to fund my travel to the UK. Despite my repeated attempts to convince him otherwise, he insists that this is the best way to secure my future. While I deeply appreciate his sacrifice and belief in me, I can’t help but worry about the risks.

Selling his only home means he will have nowhere to fall back on if things don’t go as planned. And as much as I want to explore better opportunities abroad, I don’t want to see him struggle or regret this decision later.

What would you do in my situation? Do you think this sacrifice is worth it? I’d love to hear different perspectives, especially from those who have been in a similar position or understand the realities of starting over in a new country.

Thanks in advance for your advice!
Have you received a response? Gloucestershire just sent in response for applications done between Dec and Jan. for MRes courses

[yes I have recieved my offer ]
ehemwhy(m): 2:48pm On Feb 27
I initially didn’t want to respond, but here goes:

I have watched my mother take her last breath at LASUTH due to a misdiagnosis. I have mourned a sibling who lost her battle with cancer, not because treatment was unavailable, but because she couldn’t access the radiotherapy she needed despite having health insurance. I have stared death in the face myself simply because I refused to pay a ₦20,000 bribe to a policeman at Ogba all because I was driving a newly ed tokunbo car .

Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to leave this country. It may not be all rosy on the other side, but at least the structure is green enough to function.

Sell the property bro.. it’s worth it. If it’s not enough, sell your kidney, liver and two eyes. You’re going abroad bro..it’s worth it.. when you get there, the white people will get you another eye, kidney and liver. Their country is very advanced and there’s nothing they can’t do. Please sell what you have and leave the country
Good morning, everyone. Has anyone here applied to the University of Gloucestershire for the September 2025 intake? I submitted my application on December 29th but haven't received any response. I even emailed the program director, but there's been no reply. Their MRes program lasts two years. Has anyone received any correspondence from them?
I have never been the enthusiastic type when it comes to Japa, but the realities on ground in the country leaves one with little or no choice to look elsewhere for greener pastures. I have about 7m worth of landed properties, and I want to do away with it and relocate before this country leaves me with nothing at all. I graduated with a 2:1 from a federal university.

Which country affords a better opportunity for someone looking for an MSc, putting all circumstances into perspective?

Good morning, chief. I'd like to inquire the Mres degree. Did you apply through the UCAS website or directly to the school's faculty/supervisor? Secondly, does one the school whenever one is ready or advisable to wait until schools announce application openings?

I'll really appreciate your opinion, thanks.
we applied directly ,we were ed to clarify some unclear documents , with Gloucestershire you can apply directly . i think Preston and Bolton too

Good morning all,
I’d appreciate your input on this matter. My wife applied for an MRes program in the UK, and we’ve been ed by one of the schools we applied to. We’ve already started preparing funds for tuition and other related expenses. However, last night, we discovered that my wife is pregnant.
We are now considering the implications of her pregnancy on her ability to travel, settle, and study in the UK. Specifically, we’d like insights on the following:
1. Health and travel: Are there any medical considerations or restrictions for her to travel, given her pregnancy?
2. Healthcare in the UK: What are the healthcare options available for pregnant international students in the UK? Would the NHS cover her antenatal care, or do we need separate health insurance?
3. Academic challenges: How might the pregnancy and childbirth affect her studies, particularly if the program is intensive? Are there systems or deferment options
4. Will immigration allow her into the uk seeing that she is pregnant
