jakeadebayo:I said I was going to ignore you until yet another stupid stunt of yours and you have pulled it pretty fast. Son, when a domain enters the market place it is available for anyone to at the control price of .com TLDs at nothing less thatn 15 USD per year so still shove this 10k USD BS off your... you know where. You say I just said it all? Really? Am I not the one that's not gainfully employed? How come you have agreed you are foolish? Na true you talk o, I am not gainfully employed... I hire people who are gainfully employed, telling me about employment gives me chills...what a downgrade... so really I am at the top of that chain you are climbing up to...catch me if you can... you will need lots of prayers to catch me with this level of foolishness your employers are making you pull. I have brokered and sold over a hundred domains in the past 4 years and your whole 10K USD BS for naijabook.com will not fly...it will crash another DANA plane. All your bosses possibly did to Naijabook.com to get it was to backorder the domain for nothing less than 100 USD (16,000 Naira) and immediately it expired on the then owner of it on Dynadot it was ed again and given to lagbook. After that, your bosses pushed you to Nairaland to come and mumu small and take the bullets for them. Hope this is part of the of your gainful employment. A key factor for a domains cost is its age as seen in its present WHOIS record. Naijabook.com is less than a week old so please save us the laughs. Don't be deceived, let your money work for you... send me your CV. All this red energy you have can be converted to green eco-friendly energy. 2 Likes |

Refund the money and tell him his job request falls below your professional integrity and in the interest of all parties you have decided to give him a full refund. Never accommodate difficult clients because you need the money. They will make you pay back that little money in several ways including frustration. Don't take cheap jobs, they are cheap in all aspects of the word cheap. Although I have stopped freelancing and now write maintenance and mod codes for existing projects, these suggestions are from my experience over the years. 1 Like |

I have voiced problems I have had with these guys in the past and its only fair when things start going in the right direction one takes out time to let people know. We are having fewer bounced orders, Settlements are arriving as scheduled, has improved. Hope things continue this way. There are a lot of other good aggregators out there but I like to hold on to one and stick with it through the worst and the best of times. 1 Like |

Ayomax: She did all of this in how many minutes and with how many hands? This part makes the whole story shady as I cannot comprehend how a woman will do all of this (without a weapon in her hand) and won't be restrained by the Man (and the other woman). She is out-numbered 2:1. Then she still had enough time and allowance to go to wherever the louvers had broken (her point of entry, which isn't the bed room), get a piece and come back to the room and stab? |

Son, a domain's creation date will NEVER reset to a particular date if it was transfered. Son, a domain's creation date shows the date it was ed at control price which is about 10 USD (as opposed to your silly 10k USD) Son, NO human will have any continued ownership right over any domain once it has expired. So keep that BS story of the domain being sold after it was left to expire. When a domain expires, it enters renewal period...if the owner refuses to renew it enters reactivation period...if the owner refuses to pay the reactivation fee to reactivate and renew, the domain is deleted and open to the public to at control price and ONLY then are the domain details deleted. At no point in the expiry, renewal or reactivation periods will a domain's record be reset if an owner renews it. So save your BS for those in the politics section, they will bow to you there... not here. You're just too foolish to know when to shut up so keep babbling, fools at the same level with you will take you seriously. Fool ignored until yet another (expected) foolish stunt in the future. 5 Likes |

Send me an email [email protected] I will get back to you with the details of your site I will need to work with. Would be best if you're online and on a chat application so you can test what I do. I won't want to go through the rigors of regitering a test and filling long forms to place an order... urghh...that's plenty work for a lazy man. |

Why do people think its idiots that operate in this section? Why must every trash be hoped to thrive here? From the silly thread about the Nigerian guy that has done a concept-less and incomplete "logo advert" site to this yet another very silly story of a rediculous purchase. Please why? Tell us...do we post like idiots and silly people here? Why is our IQ judged so low? WHOIS record for lagbook.com Domain Name: lagbook.com ed at http://www.dynadot.com Registrant: LAGbook Inc. Chidi and Chika Nwaogu P.O. Box 1337 Record expires on 2013/04/25 UTC Record created on 2010/04/25 UTC Domain servers in listed order: ns1.dynadot.com ns2.dynadot.com WHOIS record for naijabook.com Registrant: LAGbook Inc. Chidi and Chika Nwaogu P.O.Box 1337 Festac Town, Lagos 1337 Nigeria Record expires on 2013/11/14 UTC Record created on 2012/11/14 UTC Domain servers in listed order: ns1.dynadot.com ns2.dynadot.com This said domain said to be purchased for 10k USD by lagbook was ed 2 days ago by the same owner of lagbook.com. A useless and senseless name like naijabook.com cannot appreciate to 10k USD in 2 days. (Assuming this was not even ed by the owner). A domain cannot be transferred to a different registrar within 3 months of its registration (assuming this fool wants to say the domain was bought and then transfered to his registrar after the 10k usd purchase). Registrar-registrar transfer of a domain takes nothing less than 5 days from date of request. (So how can you buy over a domain that's 2 days old from another person?) All these lies for what? Attention? The next time you want to fool people, meet any of your less foolish friends and let them do a dry run on your foolish idea before coming out to commit site suicide. 6 Likes |

^^ For the first time (immediately after registration before sending any requests to the domain), yes its immediate for everyone. For subsequent DNS changes on existing domains, it won't be immediate on all ISPs... it won't be immediate on any Nigerian ISP. Etisalat picks up first, MTN picks up last in my experience. |

At one point or two in your life as a you will need to change IP address for one or all of the following reasons: 1. Changed your webhost. 2. Migrated from shared to dedicated hosting or VPS 3. Changed site IP address to a dedicated one so as to use SSL or for any other reason DNS changes are instant and some ISP's pick the changes up in minutes. Some others take hours, some take days. It could be frustrating to wait for hours or days for your new DNS changes to take effect and the frustration could get worse if the site is running on both the old server (old IP) and the new server (new IP). That's some bunch of inconsistencies in the offing because an ISP may be toggling requests between both IPs... in other words, you make a change on the site.... you check the site back in 5 minutes and you don't see the change. Stuff like that. 'Nuff background story, now the juice: On Windows and Linux you can tell browsers the exact IP address you want them to point to when you request a particular site. This can be done by editing the host file. For example: I have a site dualcore.com and have recently changed the IP address. Site: dualcore.com Old IP: 111.111.111.111 New IP: 222.222.222.222 Once the site has been moved to the new IP I will have to put a notice on the site (on the old IP/location) saying we have moved and then plead with them to wait for propagation OR they can edit their host file to reflect the change at once. How to edit the host file to reflect the change For Windows s: In Windows, the host file can be found at C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (if your primary hard drive uses a different drive letter, such as D:, use that drive letter instead). Open the file with Notepad.exe Go to the bottom of the file, and add the following: 222.222.222.222 dualcore.com 222.222.222.222 www.dualcore.com Save the file. Now you can access dualcore.com on the new location. This has to be done on all computers that will be accessing dualcore.com so its wise to either mail your with this steps or place it on the homepage of the site on its old location. to remove these entries from the host file after a few days or a week. For Linux s: Search Google, if you were nerdy enough to use Linux then you should be nerdy enough to figure the whole thingy out yourself. ![]() Tip: /etc/hosts 1 Like |

Give it a try and let us know your experience. Its a promising solution. Used it once on a Live site when testing the WHMCS plugin I wrote for them (https://simplepay4u.com//simplepay4u_WHMCS.zip). Worked good then.' Hope you are not considering running away from Voguepay because they are giving you 25 Naira for your 25 USD product? ![]() Do your conversions right on your own site before calling Voguepay's API. I am not up to speed with CMS, Shopping carts and so on (I do my own stunts) but I can look into your Opencart for you and add the conversion. I have never touched Opencart so don't expect a 2-minute solution ![]() |

monosetale: I talked to the guy today and he said why he can't give my the webfiles and he has to do the hosting himself is that the programming created for the website was his intellectual property and that if he gave Iτ̅ out, some other programmer can simply use Iτ̅ for their own profit and as for the domain purchase he said if I decide to buy myself I would still hand Iτ̅ to him to use in uplaoding the files, if I were to use someone else in the future for my web-works he would take his files and give the domain over to ♍e. When I asked him about ♍e getting the right to the files solely he said that would cost ♍e millions to have sole and absolute control of the web files and programming. What's ur take on all these . Pls advice ♍e. I beg you in the name of whoever you love most (my name is Dual Core, just incase na me and you are female), do NOT pay One Naira to this guy for anything. All that intellectual property latin is plain rubbish and he is seriously insulting your intelligence with these 50kobo lies and formats. Please install opencart and play around with it or get someone who really knows the job to get this done for you. What kind of devilish "developer" is this? Why doesn't he ask to take control of your whole life? |

I can write the full script for you but here's the thing. 1. No graphics or styling. Its going to be raw working html for presentation, PHP et MySQL for functionality. 2. I wont offer subsequent or later modifications to it (I won't have the time). 3. It will take about 2 days as I can guarantee working on it for an hour a day (at night). If you are okay with all 3 conditions let me know. |

When a person who claims to be a developer starts demanding for things like this I think its best you hired someone else. He is most likely poverty stricken and is looking for possible ways to hold you to ransom in the future. In the hood we will say "the guy wan open office for your head". NEVER give your designer domain and hosting rights. All your designer should do is tell you the specifications of the hosting required to house his work. He has no right to choose where it should be hosted and he has no right to question your choice. If you've given your designer your hosting/domain right, just kukuma give am your CAC company registration papers. I wish you the best in your business with this kind of development partner you have hired. |

Brand_new:I do, and always will. Brand_new:You have already limited your progress by thinking you can't progress without the help of the "better" developers. What you don't know is you could be a "better" developer and have lots of brand new developers look up to you for thousands of your from-scratch solutions. As for the site, nothing to review. Just make it work so it doesn't end up like yet another aggregator. |
