About three years ago. It was a bitter winter and I was dining at a restaurant around 11 pm in the night. It was very cold and if I correctly, it was -35 degrees Celsius below freezing point and if you pee outside, it freezes before hitting the ground. cold.

The restaurant was filled with everyone white except myself. I looked behind me and it was crowded with delivery drivers working for the delivery app, Skip the Dishes, waiting to pick up food orders. Nine delivery drivers and all black guys mostly Nigerian looking.

Imagine what it means to have to drive constantly in the bitter cold to deliver food when most people are either sleeping or enjoying themselves in a warm restaurant.

Some of these guys are even delivering with brand new SUVs purchased on credits and after a deeper dive, I came to realize our people here live mostly above their means to impress fellow Nigerians. They buy houses or cars they cannot afford and now have to work three jobs and drive on the side to maintain their fake lifestyles.

This is not a healthy way to live guys, learn to relax and enjoy yourself once in a while, do not live above your means and the fact that you are pre-authorized for that big mortgage, loan, or line of credit does not mean you have to accept.

Learn to live your life without trying to please or impress anyone and occasionally, take time off to have fun and enjoy yourself, take vacations.

I've been attending this church for 2yrs, i played the sax and band. A month ago, i was told to teach this lady how to play the sax by the pastor's wife. Now this lady stays at their house. At times when i'm chanced i go to the pastor house to teach her, but most time i teach her during/after the chorister rehersal.

Nothing was going on between the two of us. But, i was surprised when last sunday, the MOG said he saw i and the lady in a revelation getting married. I laughed it off because im just 24 and nt yet ready for marriage. But he insisted i pray over it, through the week when i go to their house to tutor the lady, the wife do make subtle remark that i pretend nt to hear.

Then this sunday, the MOG said the lady is my wife from God that i need to listen to God before smtin bad happen to me. I'm nt in anyway interested in her. When i tried reasoning with the MOG, he said im only trying to rebel against God's will. He even threatened to send me away from the church. Please how do i go about it?

Don’t let the devil steal your word. His focus is to attack God’s word to you. If the devil can steal your word or confuse you over God’s word to you, he’ll gain the upper hand in your life. The Word of God to you is your key to victory over the devil. Hold fast to God’s sure word to you.

In the Dream Centre where God has spoken many good things concerning us, you can’t afford for the devil to steal your word. The devil knows that God’s word will result in greatness for you when you believe it, work it and act on it, so he tries to steal it by the following;

1. Preventing your hearing: Faith comes by hearing. The devil tries to keep your word from you by hindering your hearing. He tries to prevent you from every atmosphere where your word is to come or distract you from hearing even if you get to such atmosphere.

2. Twisting your word: “Has God said…?” “Maybe it’s not really that.” “So and so also said that God spoke, but nothing came out of it. Are you sure it can happen just like that?” The devil successfully twisted God’s word to Eve.

3. Lying about the word: The devil must not successfully lie to you about God’s word. You should be convinced of the fact that God is never late. His word is ever true.

4. Trivializing the word of God: The devil says things like, “You better help yourself on this matter. Is it the Word of God you are believing with all certainty? Please find something better and use your common sense.”

PRAYER: I will not allow the devil to steal my word from the Lord. Amen!

TOPIC: USE WORDS WISELY
PROVERBS 6:2

The Lord spoke these words to me many years ago and I have taken time to master using words wisely and I want you to do the same: “Words are like emissaries, use them wisely.”

The words that you speak and allow to flow through your mouth have great power to determine how you end up in life. Hearing the words, you speak, I can say, with great precision, how your life will end. Words have great power to build you up or tear you down. God uses words, the devil also uses words. Negative words bring destruction and discouragement; positive words bring healing and build up a man’s life into greatness.

Words carry spirit and when you speak words, depending on whether good/positive words or wicked/negative words, spirits are released to begin to act and work out those words. Good godly words release the Holy Spirit to work for you while evil negative words release evil spirits to work against you.

I have always said, “If I can get you to stop speaking negatively, even the most terrible life situations will change for good.” Your life flows rapidly in the direction of your words.

God’s power is captured and enclosed in God’s words. If you can get yourself to speak God’s words over that situation in your life, the power of God will take over. I want you to do an audit of your life and ask yourself, “In what direction is my life going?” If you don’t like that direction, don’t complain, just peruse the Scriptures and then begin to confess them over yourself.

PRAYER: I abort every negative seed sown by my words in the past in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: MASTER THE USE OF YOUR TONGUE
JAMES 3:6

Spiritual progress and promotion are issues and matters that come to you based on your qualification in the spirit. You only get the progress and promotion that you qualify for. Over the next few days, I will be sharing with you some PRACTICAL WISDOM FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH. The truth is that God arranges divine tests for you as you go on in your spiritual life, and promotions and progress only come when you the tests of God.

For instance, I want you to note that you don’t qualify to progress spiritually until you master how to use your tongue. The use of your tongue is a major test that you must learn to with God because there is a level of promotion and progress that you can never attain if you have not mastered your tongue. The Scriptures show us that the wheel of life is turned around using our tongue – the entire wheel of life!

Mastering the use of your tongue has to do with your confessions, especially in times of crisis. Are your confessions always in line with God’s words and promises? Are they words of faith or words of fear? What you say about yourself and what you say about other people are very important.

I want you to do a guide test for yourself: if God were to do everything you say, do you think the people around you and even you will be safe?* If this answer is negative, you will need to do some work because you don’t qualify for spiritual progress yet.

Staying with the Word of God in reading, studying, memorizing and obeying consistently will help you change and master your tongue.

PRAYER: Lord, my tongue will be a weapon of progress in the hand of God in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I would like to make an introduction on my decision to be posting a daily devotional coming from one of the strongest churches in Nigeria. Written by Rev. Olusola Areogun, the General Overseer of the The Dreams Centre of the Life Oasis International Church popular called The Dream Centre.

This is a devotional that has helped many in their journies in life being Christian, Educational, Martial or whatever journey human can engage in.

If all allocation for projects are used judiciously every sector will be running smoothly, there will be light, there will be good road, there will be water supply, there will be security which will invariably attract local and foreign investors leading to abundant employment and job opportunities, constant power supply will create enabling environment for startups, education will work fine, agricultural activities will be at topnotch. Everything will work fine.

But if you continue to formulate economy policies even by the best professors of economics in the world on a country sitting on corruption we'll continue wallowing in same mess we are now.

So what we need is not a switch in system of government, what will need is corruption free country.

I met a young beautiful girl last year, she was everything I needed in a girl. She has all the attributes I prayed for. So, I asked her out and she accepted us to be in a relationship. Everything was going well until one day when I notice that she regularly post a particular guy in his early 40s on her WhatsApp status. I asked her who the guy was , she said that the guy is her Real Dad. Well, to cut the long story short, I found out that the guy was not her father rather her boyfriend. Before we agreed to start up the relationship, I made my intentions clear that I want to get married to her in the long run n I also asked her if she was in any relationship , she said No but to my greatest surprise, I found out that the guy she lied to be her father is her boyfriend.

Later, the guy too found out that I was also dating the girl. I don't know how the guy got my , he called me one day and started abusing me to stay clear from the girl. The girl loves me no doubt n I love her as well. So, when the guy called me, I over reacted with anger and told him never to call me again that I don't have anything to do with him.

After the whole drama when I later met the girl she told me that she has broken up with the guy, that I should forgive her. Which I did, I took her out on a date and engaged her.

This girl, is well known in my family and my parents knw her, she is loved by every member of family, but I am the only that know the kind of person she is cos I discovered that she has been cheating on me n has been lying to me all this while. Currently, we have an issues and not in talking for now. Though she has returned my ring but didn't let me know cos she kept it somewhere in my house. I feel she still have something to do with the guy.

I love this girl so much even though she has cheated on me and lies alot, I still love her. I've tried to get her off my mind but I can't. The girl is a very good girl, she is not a gold digger, she is down to earth. I know her mum n we do flow well on phone calls any I speak with her
