This is too cheap a bait to fall for now, militants for all we know don't embark on senseless killings, the message is clear enough, cause ethnic tension and disrupt the relative peace between ND and Yoruba's, Igbo and Yoruba are at each other's jugulars already, with that, the northern hegemony will further their agenda of balkanization, oppression and nepotism without any formidable resistance from any quarter.

Fulani herdsmen are known for this senseless killing, not militants, something is fishy!!

To think veterans like Modath, Seunmsg, PentiumPro, Movic1 etc fell for this is rather disturbing

This is not about merit again, Buhari is an ethnic bigot. There's no fair play in Nigerian politics again, just waiting for this lanky old man to finish his tenure... next southern president should fully "Southernise" Nigeria. All the major appointments should go to them, Buhari is making me to regret voting him

What will rallying around him change about the allegation against him? Didn't PDP bigwigs rally round Metuh, Dansuki and others? What did that change? Nothing! He's just a thief just like his thieving in the killer party, they are all criminals that stole our common patrimony to further their evil agenda of enslaving the masses, the masses are even too gullible to realize this, little wonder they cheer them up and sing their appraisals. Btw, what's the difference between Modu Sherif and Markarfi? One is a terrorist and the other a stooge of the thieving cabals..na PDP wahala, e no concern me!!!

Hope we have the same CBN guidelines.I am not aware of any attempt to FIX the rate on Monday. But I am aware that the rate would be DETERMINED at the market's first trading session on Monday.

"As per the new price of the Naira, the CBN Governor mentioned that the price will be known when the market opens officially on Monday"

You are right, thanks for correction
Davvymavvy: 8:02pm On Jun 15, 2016
Doyin2:

And you are tactically wrong!

Devaluation is a deliberate reduction in the value of Naira to a fixed and specific rate.E.g N300 to 1 Dollar.

But what CBN has done is to allow market forces to determine the real value of the Naira which is unknown yet,to he determined by the forces of demand and supply.

Thus the Naira could either appreciate or depreciate, determined by supply and demand.

You are right with your definition and that's exactly what CBN just did. Didn't you read the full release? In their statement, price of naira to dollar would be fixed on monday

Heartless and greedy miscreants turned NigerDelta struggle to a money making venture to the detriment of social liberation, economic improvement and infrastructural decay the struggle aimed to achieve. Asari said he was fighting for Nigerdeltans only for him to collect his own share and travelled to a neighbouring country to establish a university, all his investments are far away from the South, this same unfortunate situation has other warlords as its unfortunate candidates. Where is the supposed liberation they said they were clamouring for? Now, the new tools of political instability hiding under the facade of ND struggle are again negotiating their own share. I pray ND would not self-destruct

You started making a reasonable post but u just thrown away caution because u felt I am Igbo. lol

Nigga, stfu and stop spamming my mention. Who cares if you are ibo or not. Does that erase the fact that you are as daft as your post? Apologize to Yorubas for insulting them unnecessarily, I read from the first page, why mischievously provoking a group of loving people? You suck man!!!

Thank u for yo post even though u started yo post with derogatory statement.
My post was a mere question and if u say, yes, they do then I don't have problem with that. However, will u agree with me that the media hype of June 12 was all time low this year?

Like I initially said, you are confused. Why are you shifting goal post? You claimed they didn't observe it and I busted your bubble, here you are again asking another irrelevant question. Can you please craw back to your cave and hide your head in shame? Spits on thread!!!

Just a bit curious!!
All through the period the PDP were in Power at the center, the South west States successfully declared June 12 as a public
holiday in their states.
Today, their party is in Power at the center and that is no longer the case.
Is it a thing of ideological inconsistency or Who was fooling Who

If you are confused, ask question for the purpose of clarification. Who told you they didn't observe June 12? Osun, Oyo? I'm in Ibadan, Oyo state observed June 12, how many banks opened today in Oyo state? Stop lying

I see no point there. undecided

Like I said the advise wasn't just making sense, morally wrong..

So, you would rather rot in your parents' house than giving a man a chance to land your dream job? The same body you give without resistance to a man that has never contributed anything to your life because he's your boy friend or so...stop being morally correct and call a spade a spade

Meet Victor Olalusi – the Best Medical Graduate in a Russian University

Victor Olalusi, a student from Nigeria, has recently become the best graduate student at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at the Russian National Research Medical University in Moscow.

Before leaving for Russia, Olalusi had the best result in the West African School Certificate Examination in 2004, was the best Science Student in the t ission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination in 2006, and also had the highest Obafemi Awolowo University Post UME score in 2006.

It was gathered that Olalusi scored 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) in the university's Faculty of Clinical Sciences for seven straight years to become the best graduating student in the whole Russian Federation.

The Director of Federal Scholarship Board, Ifeoma Agunwa, said Olalusi's feat is most impressive because he maintained 5.0 GPA in all the courses he took throughout his study.

“Olalusi never had a 4.99 GPA. Even in the Russian language class, he did not fall below 5.0.” she said.

It was also revealed that the university handed Olalusi a place in its Hall of fame for academic excellence following his feat.

A representative of the Russian Embassy, Artem Romanov, said that Nigeria has a lot of human potential because Nigerians are genetically intelligent.

“Nigeria is blessed with abundant human potential which is officially acknowledged in Russia," Romanov said.

“It has been acknowledged in the Russian Ministry of Education that Nigerians have a lot of exceptional talents.
"It is not easy to achieve such in Russia; it goes with talent and hard work.

He however urged him to give back to Nigeria.
“I urge you to engage your knowledge in the development of your father's land.’’

Olalusi's father credited his son's success to hard work, noting that he attended normal public schools in Nigeria.

I'm aware it's a government job, they have to factor in a lot of things. We should not make excuse for the government, they are not doing us any favour. Make favourable policies for people or you resign citing incompetence as your reason. Lol @double your hustle, yes you are right but certainly on something that's worth the stress.

NB: I'm not making any case for myself, it's not pride, by God's grace, I have gone ed that level

You should have noticed that I was specific about the teaching scheme. Aside that, others are laudable because they are vocations, you get yourself established after the training.

What's wisdom in the 23k? With the current inflation, t.fare, food, recharge cards, house rents unforseen contingencies and other miscellaneous expenses? What would you have left? Nothing joor!!!

Unemployment is a cankerworm in our social system, it kills ion and evaporates potentials. Bright minds are lost in the process to thuggery, fraud and other vices. Nigeria is blessed only if we look inward, solutions are right inside of us. This development is good for the youths.

Despite the sincerity of this government at tackling our challenges through various means aimed at increasing our capacity building and sharpening our entrepreneurial dexterity, I find this N-power teacher scheme a scam. What becomes of the 500,000 people after 2years? They will go back to square one? Don't preach the gospel of them starting something afterwards because they won't save anything from the meagre 23k salary they would be given every month. That said, I suggest after the expiration of 2years of their "voluntary " service to their nation, they should all be empowered with 500k each to venture into businesses of their choice

Reading through those quotes, my nerves got relaxed with a flash of hope illuminating both my conscious and subconscious mind. But I have a question, why have we not evolved despite the efforts of our heroes to make life a better place for us? The way it was is the way it is....social backwardness, economic slavery and political parasitism.

Well, I never experienced the worst of it because I was still young when it ended & was not yet born at its worst. But I still have vivid memories of gunshots & teargas in the air almost every other day. Even as young children we knew the drill eg. what to do in the case of teargas, etc. It was just part of everyday living. We were used to it because were born in that volatile & violent enviroment, so you kinda adapt & learn coping skills.

Exactly my point, one would be maltreated to a "broken point". You submit to their dictatorship, you now see it as a normal way of life. This is the crux of the backwardness of most African countries, we have been conquered psychologically, we believe in the abnormal to be normal, our sanity has been formated only to be replaced by insanity. Insanity in the guise of corruption, religious intolerance, nepotism, xenophobia, clandestine balkanization and poor mental appraisal, you see my sister, we have been cheated

The person who wrote that is the one that needs a history lesson. So what were the Africans wearing before the Europeans?

Covered with leaves & animal hide more like it grin

It's actually the whites who introduced us to clothes.

They were covered with leaves and hides as you rightly opined, they lived happily till the colonial masters invaded their territory and made slaves of them. You should get the import of the op, they mistreated blacks, why were African slaves not on robes like their white supremacists?

Thank God I wasn't born den.

Dis pic reminds me of spartacus tongue

It was really bad back them, our great grand parents were brutalized, dehumanized, humiliated and socially made unfit. They were psychologically battered and it hurts anytime I read about the White's inhumanity to blacks. What was the offence of the blacks then? the colour of their skin, something they didn't have control over. I go out of control a times when I see Africans abusing each other, calling their brothers and sisters black ugly monkeys, maybe they don't know history...really, it pains me
