MLT is usually done in college of health technology not university.
ESUT is accredited for SLT not MLS
In Enugu, only UNEC (UNN) is accredited to run MLS

so ESUT is accredited for SLT.Nice which title does the program go with, btech, Bsc or dip. Thanks

1. To become MLT - 3 years
To become MLS - 7 years + x (5 years through school + 1 year internship + 1 year NYSC with X as variable pending strike plus the number of years it took to get internship placement)

2. MLT - College of health technology only
MLS - Accredited universities only.

3. MLT has limited scope they cover
MLS you must be jack of all trade and master of one

4. MLT - No matter the years of work experience as soon as a fresh graduate of MLS starts internship programme he oversees your work.

5. MLT - limited career progression to acquiring more degrees
MLS - You can aim for whatever position you want and continue in your academics without hindrance.

Universities in Nigeria offer MED lab science, medical lab technicians are trained in school of health and are there to assist the scientist trained in universities.
Uniben, Ekpoma,UNN,Rsut,Imsu,unilag etc All offer MED lab science
