If you have a dollar MasterCard then fund your card from your dorm

I tried that, it didn’t work. Perhaps because that’s a transfer also.

I am in the US and someone paid dollars into my GTB domiciliary last year. Now I am being told I cannot have access to the money except I come to withdraw it over the counter. Please, do you know of anyone who has been in this situation? What did they do?

If you are fortunate to be in my world you will be a lot smarter, nobody with a single brain cell travels outside Nigeria this time around. Around the world people are told to stay home, the situation in US is getting far worse than other countries but still you are here chatting dust. If people listen to instruction and stop unnecessary traveling the spread of this virus will be contained a lot quicker

Since you know better than everyone why was he not allowed to travel? Anybody who is foolish enough to head to airport at this time deserves to be beaten up and detained.

Common sense is really an expensive commodity

Peace, bro. You are smart. I just didn’t think your first comment was sensitive enough to the guy’s plight. But it’s ok. I understand we are all trying to help.

Schools are closing down, visa cancelled, airport deserted, airlines laying off workers but still some smart Nigerians like yourself think that its ok to travel? What else do you need to hear before it gets into your head?

Let me juggle your memory a bit before you drag me into your ”world“. The post is about a guy who came into Nigeria 2weeks ago before countries began imposing travel restrictions, and his friend is here to make some findings for him. You could have kept quiet if you had no valuable information to give him. But instead you went ahead to blame the guy as if his trip to Nigeria was after the travel restrictions. Next time if you don’t have any valuable thing to say, just keep quiet. You don’t have to always comment. And btw, people are still traveling (US citizens or not). Unfortunately, his trip was classified as ”non-essential”, which I expect that you will know is a subjective terminology. You cannot blame him for trying to make the trip. Secondly, schools in the US are not on total shutdown as you are once again confidently declaring. They only moved classes, exams, etc. online. Lecturers and istrative staff are still going to work in the less affected cities. In some places, hostels are still opened to students. Lastly, I am sure if I look into your other apocalyptic claims, I might possibly find that they are another fiction of some self-acclaimed intelligent guy’s mind.

..and as a non-US citizen how will he enter the country?

Where did you hear that it’s only US citizens that are allowed into US?

Yes and he was in Nigeria when the restriction was announced and still want to travel? You see how clever you are?

Which news are you listening to sef? When did US announce travel restrictions from Nigeria? The problem you have is that you think you are smarter than you actually are.

Oga, if you don’t have anything to contribute, don’t say anything. Didn’t you see the part that said he came to Nigeria 2weeks ago? You are talking about travel restrictions of 1week ago.

This is a story of how someone's experience and post saved me from a bitter experience. Read my appreciation to the author of the post that saved me below.

I don't know how to thank you, my brother. I almost (and i mean ALMOST) fell into this guy's hands. Infact just yesterday i followed him to Cotonou to go see a car, and i was scheduled to buy it today. I just thank God i went with a friend who showed concern about how he really intended to bring the car into Nigeria. To him the Godspower guy did not sound convincing. So he ed a friend of his who frequents Cotonou. His friend told him straight out that the agent was going to make fake papers for me. He told me, and just as i was contemplating whether or not it was a good idea, i decided to do something i used to do when in doubt like this...Google. On 2nd try i saw a link to your story. When i read through, i realized it was a carbon copy of my story. I did not doubt one bit when you talked about his excessive politeness and the sudden switch. That had always been a concern for me from the get go, but i sort of relied on the supposed "good" experience my colleague who linked me up with him had had before. The way he used to call and text me every single freaking day for more than a month was suspicious. He seemed hyper eager. For instance, while heading his way yesterday, haven told him i was a few minutes away, he just couldn't wait and had to call me again. I don't know how to thank you, bro. When we visited Cotonou yesterday, he was so quick to slash his agency fee from 40k to 20k just to accommodate my budget. He also removed about 50k from the Nigerian custom duty again to accommodate my budget. That looked suspicious, as i couldn't seem to match his motivation with the reward. I wondered how he intended to do the Nigerian custom duties 50k less, especially when the car was not in Tincan, but from Cotonou. I was still considering running the stuff till it became clear to me this morning that he was trying to swindle me. So i confronted him hoping he will lie so i can confirm my fears. Ofcourse he did, being the scammer that he is. He even denied not being the Godspower in question, forgetting that he used the second phone number on his profile to call me once.

See below a screen capture of his denial.

Morale of the story are...
1. never try to cut corners (you might get hurt)
2. Always get a second opinion by a trusted close friend or direct relative
3. Follow your instincts

PS: He always says you should call him, as though he has one jazz that he wants to use to talk to you.

I don't blame her because some oil blocks are not so economically viable to attract any skilled or experienced owners. If everyone was avoiding a oil block, then is says something important about that oil block perceived profitability.

Her husband was a geologist in Chevron at the time, he had access to all they needed to make that decision.

This is why I don't do the he is just my friend thingy

UjuJoan2:

Not necessarily . ..

It could be that the guy was just a friend, nursing some romantic feelings for her (most women have that) . . . Maybe she turned to him in her time of distress and he was there for her, and she fell for him too.

This is definitely a rebound marriage. undecided

Wel I have not really worked with a 1.5kva so cant say but all things been equal they can't be the same provided nothing is changed in the components of each inverter, mathematically it is not the same too......

Thanks for your response, Saxwizard. It's a pure sine wave.

Good day, all. An inverter installer told me a luminous 1.5kva zelio inverter is equivalent to a 2.4kva mercury inverter in of power output, saying that mercury quotes it's maximum power output, while luminous quotes it's minimum. Is this true?
