Do you love writing?
Are you finding it difficult to express yourself in writing?
If you love writing that means you have to love this.
This programme presents wonderful opportunity to those interested in improving their English grammar.

This opportunity is opened to numerous industry from students, bloggers and those interested in creative writing.

Why Bloggers.
Over the years, concerned Nairalanders https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/3100842/open-letter-bloggers-struggling-get. have expressed their exasperation at quality of writing; lack of basic elements of grammar by bloggers. However, this is a problem that can be solved.

ANYBODY CAN WRITE INCLUDING STUDENTS.

Everybody has his own creativity; because we differ in thought and attitude. Writing is for everybody because it's not mutually exclusive to anybody. Everybody is a writer.

THE GOOD PART

While you're writing, you can be earning. People are earning huge money big time- writing articles, essay and freelancing online. On a final note, writing is hugely rewarding, Writers are making money, hardly will you see any writer complain about 'No money in Nigeria', this is because of the competency and accuracy in giving clients what they want.
Having spot this problems, i will like to resolve the crisis of poor writing by ing me on https:///GccEtv35uFo5xSsMMYwueH. to share you the secrets of writing and earning.

No course is useless

If there was, it will be education related courses. Why?

Because a course is more than what you read. There's an entire ecosystem around it.

Teachers tend to be poor sorry to say. That needn't be the xase but if your peers aren't doing well, they can influence you.

Lawyers for instance do well and so do ants. Most of their peers are doing well.

Why I said no course is useless is you are the determinant of your future to a good extent.

You have zoologist working in banks. Engineers as well. It's not necessary you practice what you read.

Most importantly, you can work for yourself. This pandemic has been an eye opener. Millions of people are working from home!

If you're a teacher, you can start blogging or writing for medium.com if your english is good. As a blogger, you can easily make 1milliin a month in a year's time in ive income.

Many medium.com writers make 4-5 figures a month writing after a year of sweat equity. The income from then tends to be ive as you'll be earning lots of income from your past efforts.

You see many here on NL making money from online freelancing. Others from domaining, marketing and dropshipping.

You can also delve into other businesses as well such as estate agency, farming, buying of produce from the north and selling it in Lagos etc.

The sky is not your limit

This is for those who are fond of saying: WHO ENGLISH HELP?
As for me, English has helped me in many ways. I studied Science Education but I developed my English skills to an expert level. So, any time you ask this question: "Who English help?" that it has helped timijo.

I have a lot to talk about but I will make my testimony brief.

1. I was teaching science subjects in a school that paid #14,000 as monthly salary but my English skills got me another teaching job in an international school with a starting salary of #42,000. I got a lot of experience in this school through international training and online courses. Courses that I would have paid a huge amount of money were made available for free. Before I resigned, my monthly salary was over #100,000.

2. In addition to what I have achieved from learning English, it has given me the opportunity to work as an English teacher outside Nigeria. Yes, you may be surprised but that is the truth. I am abroad teaching English.

Finally, I know that God helped me to be where I am today but I had worked on myself before He blessed me. So, you must have something to offer because faith without work is dead.
English language plus divine favour gave me two lucrative jobs.

your story is inspiring. We share the same spot for knowledge.

Some grammatical mistakes you make and things you say wrong.

Hello, everyone. Before I shoot, I’d like you to read this:

After learning some Spanish and having to correct a lot of English in WhatsApp groups, I’ve discovered that some of us say some things wrong. Some like saying things like “English is not our language”, “Who English epp? (Who does English help?)” “Does it add money to my ?” especially when you correct them. But most of these are said out of ignorance. English is not your language, but why do you use it? English has helped a lot of people, YES! It has. Why else do we use English to teach at school? In fact, more research has been done in English than in any other language, 98% of scientific materials published today are in English, I’m not saying that other languages are inferior, but the truth is that, some people do need to stop being ignorant and face it – English really DOES matter…and YES – it can add money to your in so many ways; you think about it.

Yeah, I feel like it’s important for me to add this: I’ve come across some Nigerians who speak English as their first tongue; I do as well, so the idea of saying English is not our language doesn’t make any sense at all. I have no problem with anybody speaking any indigenous language.

The English language is not a foreign language to Nigeria, it has mixed with our cultures in a unique way, and therefore has become ours – one of our languages, even though I don’t speak the language of my indigenous tribe, I still have some of their cultural values instilled in me, I cherish and respect them.

Aha! I must not skip this; I've interacted with Brits and Americans on the internet, so I see them make silly mistakes as well, but the ones I've written here are some of the mistakes I see my country people make often. Let’s see some of the grammatical mistakes people make and things they say wrong.

I am Nigerian, so I speak more Nigerian English, I don’t hate it, I just like when people make good use of it because I know what it feels like when you murder someone's

Ermmmm, one last thing before the final full stop: This is for people who can’t do without starting a sentence with or using “Am”; What exactly is wrong? Please stop making this horrible mistake, if you can’t use the contraction: “I’m…” then use: “I am…”
It’s not hard work. The pronoun [b]I
is just one letter.

Thanks for reading.

Veebliz.

I was going to use an alternate moniker for this, but what the hell?

I'm just not happy here.

I almost feel like I'm wasting my time reading it. When I sit and listen to others talk about going to law school and practicing, I take on a 'whatever' stance. It's not my ion....funny enough I don't think my ion(s) can take me anywhere- at least not in Nigeria

I'm not ionate about law. I don't see myself in a wig and gown or a law court. Everytime I write an exam, I don't feel like I wrote enough to . And all I think of is serial F's or just useless grades....what's the point?

Is there really any point in studying a course you have no ion for? I know many people do it mostly because all they see is the profit in the long term, but I'm not programmed like that.

I need advice, because I'm really unhappy and I might even say depressed anytime I think of this course

*singing Tomorrow from Annie*
I hope you are now happily practising law for top law firm presently.

Was preparing for my first year second semester exams when I noticed her. We were having a discussive class in a grassy area beside unn stadium. After that we were walking our different ways when a discussion about women came up and I said "women are necessary evils". She fumed up almost quarelling me but I don't talk much so I made my point and went ahead hearing behind me all her arguments. One day I was eating abacha when this girl said she wants to eat and I said ok. She said it is just my meat she wants so I let her have it and ate my abacha without meat. Her friend was like aah but I smiled and didn't mind. I could see her one time talking and her voice will always be high but the next minute she is sleeping. We were majoring in same department. Most times she walks on the road you see her full of life and exubberance. On her short gowns she could jump up and down. There were times she could see me and say lift me up on the way. Once I did and just laughed over it and we continued our journey on our different routes. Finally exams finished and first year was over. I went to my room still in school hostel then-zik flat- for those who know unn. I was dressed on my suit about to attend rotaract meeting. Proudly a rota-lion. I had a bang on my room door. A girl entered and another followed suit. The first girl is also in my department and was close to me as I helped her in her studies, nothing more mind you. The second was this very girl I have been talking about since. I was like what! How can you people badge into my room like that, no prior information of your coming sef? They were like aah you won't even ask us to sit down? I said look I am on my way out as you can see. You people should have called first. The second girl was like oya let's go nah. He is chasing us from his room and they left. I sat down on my bed thinking. I was already falling for this girl and had wished severally for her visit. The first time she came I have not welcomed her in. Well it isn't my doing. A principled man cannot cancel his meeting for uninformed visitors. So I went to meeting. Days after I met her at the ziks gate and we exchanged numbers and I apologised to her telling her why it had to be like that. She said that's my worries o and it doesn't bother her. Fast forward I went home to ph and one day a female friend sent me one of these messages if I kiss you what will you do and all that. There was no better person to forward this message to but the very girl I chased and that exactly I did. She replied in her jovial way she would kiss me till I beg and start running. It was mtn free messages. We kept exchanging messages till I called and we spoke for a while. I later searched for her on facebook and we were the best of chat mates. We asked ourselves questions about the other and how the first year in school had been. We continued talking and I told her that I would hug her the first time we met and she was like humm let's wait and see. We were just talking as friends o. I was jokingly telling her my mind and feelings. I knew her to be jovial and easy going so certainly she wasn't taking my words to heart and I told myself I will ask her out once school resumes. This is 2012. On the 8th of october we both returned to nsk. I was shocked when someone hugged me in the market. I was embarrassed I could hug back. It was the same girl I had told I would hug the first time I saw anywhere. I was buying foam because I had rented a room off k while exams were on. The driver of the taxi I took for a drop was like guy this girl love you oh and you are just there. I was speechless until I asked what she was doing in the market so soon. She was smiling and that reminded me I had failed in what I said and has confirmed what she said that I won't be able to do that. After saying what she came to buy I told her to then hurry up and my cab. I waited for a while she wasn't fot coming so I told the driver to move and that was it. I called her that I have moved after waiting for a while and she said no p. I told her to call me let me show her my place later in the day. Around five I got a call it was her her. Shock and unbelief ran through me. I went and met her and we walked to my place. On our way she reminded me I couldn't fulfil my sayings of hugging her at first sight. I am a shy person though and don't talk with girls much how much more hugging them. I tried to give excuses of we are in public. Anyway we got to my house and we ate and she actually past the night with me. Since then we have been together. Getting a good girl you love and who loves you doesn't take any specific thing. Just be yourself. We have future plans together. She brought me into nairaland.

Hope you guys are still together.

I will start from where you stopped.

Being a writer shouldn't be a challenge to your studies, in fact writing is good and it open you to lots of ideas and also connect you with new people.

What you need to learn is how to balance between your studies and your writing, when do you read? When do you write?, you need to set the time right so that you won't be disturbed.

At times, I use to get writing inspirations while reading, you must just not let both interfere with each other, plan for yourself.

You said you would have wished to graduate as a scholar.

Well, it seems to be too late, but it isn't.....

Being a scholar isn't about your GP alone, but it is about what you know, lots of geniuses have weak GP and lots of average students have great GP.

If you really want to be a scholar, the first thing you must have are dedications and determinations.

At least, you have planned to become a scholar, now believe you can, and work towards it.

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary students is the extra effort made by an ordinary student to become extraordinary

What are the others doing differently that make them exceptionally good?

How many hours are they devoting to their studies?
Find what works for you best!, read read and read. Surround yourself with like minds, those who can assist you academically.

You can achieve this by not just dreaming alone, you've dreamt it, now believe it is possible and work towards it.
Thanks for this bro. But what else can keep a student going if reading one topics and seems not to understand and he or she is reading and doesn't feel like asking a colleague because he believes in his capacity to work things out without relying on others. And if you don't mind can i have your so that we can discuss on other social media forum like WhatsApp

The need for guys to show how "strong" and emotionally detached they are us quite funny. Is it that you don't want to it that you are human and capable of loving someone or you are conditioned to think that being in love or caring about women is bad?

Guy, like someone said earlier, yoy have not said anything bad here, you love a girl, you have seen that you are venerable emotionally (which is a beautiful thing) so what exactly is the problem right now?

Is it that you don't want a relationship, she doesnt love you back or what? Because if you ask me, you are having a blast, embrace your emotions and let life take you wherever it wishes

Laura should be Laura!

Laura is a 400level student of law, she craved to be a writer and she vowed to delve it into the world of academics after leaving school due her love for academics. However to venture into academics, a writing prowess is very essential and but this has been Laura main problem and she is confused with her present predicament and still pessimistic that at age 20 she won't be able to be a good writer. And Laura hereby appeal to rational and sensible being on Nairaland for effective advice concerning her present predicament and how to be a good and efficient writer like John Rawl and other enviable writers in world of academics.

Speaking from experience, I also had two extra years in that same OAU before I graduated. Trust me the psychological burden is enormous so I understand how he felt . But suicide was never and should never be an option.
Unfortunately, a school like OAU don't have dedicated counsellors who ought to deal with students with extras to put them in the right shape of mind. In fact I know a lecturer who told a student to leave school and hawk because he had an extra.

For me with God and personal conviction I fought it and finally graduated and to God be the glory I got a job even before service with out even writing a CV I also served in a Governors office and was even offered a Government appointment after service together with the one I always had. Today I even recommend my mates who graduated 3 years before me.

So suicide is never the option no matter what.
