Dear Nairalanders,if you were given the opportunity to delete one thing from our world today, what would it be and why .

Mine will be religion, religion has done more harm than good in our world today .especially Muslims killings and bombing,Christianity brainwashing their gullible followers and taking the little money they have from them .

So what about you guys, what would yours be ?

It is rare to control those professors. I had meet Prof Ogunyemi one on one for a chat so I know what is up there. ASUU are not like NLC take barks but don't bite
Abi, just wait and by the time brown envelopes land their hands and see whether the tune of the music will not change.

I've enjoyed the banter with you because you come across as a nice fellow, but if you still want me to "explain" even after the examples I have given (TETFUND now funding billions of dollars of projects; staff recruitment training and retention), I'll start wondering if you're not just trying to wind me up.
I only asked you to explain how the strikes have affected our academic calendars positively that is all
CornelG(m): 4:29pm On Nov 14, 2018
proffemi:

What do you think?
Before I answer that for you (if indeed you need me to do so), do you ro do you not accept that previous strike actions have GREATLY benefited the system?
I disagree. Explain!!!
CornelG(m): 4:22pm On Nov 14, 2018
proffemi:

Lol.

Visit any university. Ask if they have projects funded by TETFUND. You will find that almost every new project of note is funded by TETFUND. This is a *direct* outcome of ASUU industrial actions.

While there, ask the staff how many lecturers and even non-teaching staff have been sponsored abroad for graduate studies. Find out how many lecturers used to bother returning after graduate studies, and find out what the figure is now.

Don't stop there o. Ask them how successful they were in retaining their good students as lecturers in the days of poor salaries. Ask them what the picture is now with the marginal improvement in remuneration.

If you're indeed wiling to let go of preconceptions and face the truth, you will realize that ASUU's tactics have worked over time. So why did you say they should stop using those tactics again? Right.
What about the prolonging of our academic calendars, is that also a part of the achievements?

Bravo indeed! Let him win first before taken serious. Am sure other law professors will deal with him for this
Is it the foolish professors that know not their left from their right but rather choosed to be control by brown envelopes
CornelG(m): 3:53pm On Nov 14, 2018
asuustrike1:

That Prof shouldn't be taken serious. Once the strike yield dividend, would he reject it?. Talk is cheap
ehh lets wait for that time to come but for now bravo to him.

Please do some homework on this.
Nothing like any homework my brother, the facts are there to be seen that even a blind man can testify to. Surely I may say I understand what you may be saying but I strongly believe their are other means of them showing their grievances with the government than this way, atleast dialogue is the best solution to every fight as history has showed. Finally you don't continue doing the Same thing and expect a different outcome.
