mgbeketoto: Yes! So what are you trying to say? |

Chidera Favour: This is very serious, but have you ever bothered to know why your late mum warned that none of you should get married to Imo people? I think that there must be a good reason for that, to the extent of appearing to your younger sister in a dream. Please am not saying that your family are 100% correct for not letting you marry your dream man but where a child is pointing to while crying either his father or mother must be there. In marriage some times, parents expecially the mum plays a great part in approving life partner, if your mum is not in of your chosing partner try your possible best to get her convinced because if you ignore her, the marriage is 70% sure of hiting the rock. Now your mum is no more and she is not in of the marriage, where can you see her to convince her mind? Please my sister I'm very sorry to say this, if you have tried all your possible best to get the approval of your family and didnt succide I beg you let that marriage go, pray that God should give you a partner that will be cherished by everyone. I know that it is not that easy sha! but just try you must surely get over it, in this world, nothing is too good nor too bad depending on the area you looked about it, after all the beautiful ones they said are not yet born, meaning that there is nothing that is the best thing in this world, and nothing now will happen in this world that had never happened before. Once again I pray that God will come right away to intervene in that your case. So if she opted out of that relationship and later got another guy who happen to be from the same state with the former one, what then would happen? Okay she'll have to discard that one too like used CD. Dear, what's their reason for not ing it? Are they God? So because it didn't work for someone who's from that state means it won't work for this one too. I'm tired of all this people's sentimental lifestyle. We need to abolish it. One woman would because of one unfortunate incident that once happened to someone who married from a particular tribe, kindred, advices against what could probably be a happy union. As someone earlier said, one needs to put them inn their places sometimes. Was that how they convinced them against their choice during their time? The most annoying part of the whole things is while they're trying to brainwash you, they'll never see or cite examples of similar ones that works, they'll look for the terrible ones to scare and discourage you. My submission. There's no established principle about marrying from any place. All we see is mythical weapons laced with sentiments from those old folks. The same place they ask you not to marry from another person did and they're enjoying thr lives together. So what are we saying? I accept sometimes they could be right but in most cases they don't even have the license to what or how the future would be like talk more of being able to determine if you have made a wrong decision or not. |

Efemena_xy: I don't believe in destiny. Madam EFE, the bolded begs for a question; permit me to digress a lil' bit. How do you explain a situation where someone who wished to travel out of naija and qualified to , applied for visa on several occasions but was denied in all on baseless grounds. Tried every possible means but unsuccessful. This person quit his highly profitable job and spent all he had just to ensure he cleared his way through but was still denied. In a bid to achieve his quest to leave this country by all means he got a visa to Qatar. He only spent 5months, he rushed back to Naija . When asked what the problem was he explained he couldn't get a good job, that he had to manage as a security for one firm there and he couldn't just cope anylonger . The month he got home he got himself a job in an oil company and he's doing fine (again). now. Don't you think destiny has a place in that dude's journey? Can you explain that? 1 Like 1 Share |

Royal Roy: A very interesting topic worthy of debate!!! Wow! As in wow! This is great. So if I may ask you how then would you know the destined partner in first instance? You'll say through prayer right? So does it mean the percieved or revealed Mrs Right would definitely be better than any other choice? But if I don't seek the help of the "divine" before my decision would I marry the miss wrong? |

Connoisseur: I got you perfectly and I dey feel u. You're the one that seem not to understand me. You said if it wasn't meant to be then it won't take place in the first place . Right? And my question still remains if the marriage refuses to last does it mean its meant to be just temporal? We've seen celebrities who have being into and outta several marriages with glamorous wedding ceremony. What should we hinge that on Since it took place in the first place? |

yhemmite: hmmm, I av gained a lot from this topic. Thanks to u guys You just said exactly what's on my mind. I am seriously gaining from it also. This is an eye opener. |

Efemena_xy: I don't believe in destiny. Have you seen couples that have tried different therapies, methods to make their marriage work but no matter how hard they try its not just working. No matter how much they pretend, try to fake it their happiness and what we can call marital fulfilment is always only temporal. They have employed all known methods but its going nowhere. How can you explain that? |
![]() |
Connoisseur: Hmmmmm So what then can you say about "compatibility"? Some people only engaged in a very short or no courtship before marriage thereby leaving them with no choice than to start getting to know more about each other only after the marriage. Needless to say the bout of fights and misunderstanding that they should have engaged in prior to their marriage which would have helped in understanding each other better would start surfacing thereby creating inevitable chaos in their marriage. But you know if I had discovered some nasty and disgusting things (seemingly unbearable)about you during the process of courtship it could have afforded me the opportunity to reconsider my decision. So are you trying to say compatibility doesn't really come to play when it comes to marriage? i.e with commitment issue of compatibility can be worked out? |

jidegirl12: Destiny- hmmm So I can unarguably conclude from your submission here that you believe in whatever would be would be. If you're not "meant" according to your word. Could you please illuminate the quoted. |

bro, haba mallam!!! You said everything but didn't explain why esp in Lag you ask them to sell fo you fuel 1K in your gallon but they'll sell 930 naira. Why must they always sell less than ordered amount especially for the customers with kegs? Nice write up though. |

mrs flawless: I had my first baby at the st. georgies hospital in tooting and it was a mixed experience. Is this a nigeria thing or what? I have accompanied women in labour to hospitals like two times and I must confess Naija midwives their cruelty knows no bound. Oh Boy! They're not nice at all. They'll see you in so much distress and be shouting at you. If you need anything even in your condition you would have to go and get it for yourself. They'll even attend and react to you scornfully, acting like its all a stage play and you didn't mean it. |

alutacontinua: #deep sigh# hmmmmm I got you perfectly. I actually grew up believing in that philosophy of bone of your bone and now it gat me thinking if marriages that headed for the rock was as a result of "bone of another bone" and this get me scared sometimes of not wanting to default and end up bitting my fingers. I recently found myself in a dilemma where I actually needed to subject that agelong philosophy to proper evaluation . Imagine a scenerio where every arrow points to the fact that this particular person may be meant for you but you're just afraid commiting yourself for some reasons and at the same time trying to avoid the attendant consequences of failing to settle down with that person if the philosophy were true. @ yellowpawpaw do you subscribe to the school of thought that what would be would be? |
![]() |
Chidera Favour: Chidera Favour: So when it comes to life partner anyone can fit in, what matter most is God's blessing. Is that what you're saying? So we can rule out "bone of my bone" cos if we want to adhere to that philosophy then there's a bone that is compatible only with your bone and that's where d confusion lies for me. |

gidjah: WOT WILL BE WILL EVA BE &WOT WILL NEVA BE WILL NEVA BE Hmmmm So you believe "what would be would be" which is somewhat destiny. So can we conclude that since what would be would ever be then you'll end up with that lady or man that is suppose to BE in your life and no other one. Is it not possible for one by his or her action or dogedness alter "what would be that is suppose to be" ? And lastly my brother, I've been pondering so much on that saying "what would be would be" and sometimes I tend to tell myself no need to fight it, no need to struggle what would be would surely be. But how then would you explain MISFORTUNE? How then would you explain scenerio where marriages refuse to last? I like your comment and would want you to solve the above puzzle too. Thanks |

Hey, there's this thought bothering my mind lately and I thought I should just seek the opinion of great minds residing in this Land full of naira. Do you believe a particular guy in life is meant for a particular lady? That is by providence you are meant to marry a particular person not just anyone but someone out there that has being predestined to be your partner for life. Hence the saying, BONE OF YOUR BONE. For instance Mr A has being predestined to marry Miss B and no matter their location they'll end up meeting somewhere someday. By implication if you don't marry that particular person then you'll not have a fulfilled home. For the married people in the house do you believe that your husband/wife is the one God has programmed you to be with for life or it could have just been any other person? House, is this a fact or just a belief? |

News just coming in Has confirmed the millitary take-over of the Egyptian goverment. The 48 hours ultimatum lapsed some minutes ago and they made good their promise by ousting President Morsi. The country's constitution has since then been suspended. I hope this would not lead to another blood bath cos the millitary brotherhood has vowed to fight till they retrieve their power back.

Red_Card: Dis Afrocandy is an attention seeker sha. She is just like a worse version of Tonto Dike and an upgraded version of Cossy Orjiakor. I just like her for one thing....for overtaking Cossy Orjiakor on the weird stars list. She deserves a medal for dat cos e no easy to overtake Cossy. Point on. You beat me to it. She just wanted an undeserved publicity. She could be a tonto dikeh wannabe. Being controversial in Nigeria now is like a way of earning a good living for yourself. Thanks to social media. |

fineemina: *Hyper glaze t.............................................................................. Bros, are you mixing something up or its just my eyes playing trick on me. Why would you have to spread out your phone in the sun to achieve wireless charging? Dude, Samsung wirelesss charging is an inductive charging and not solar (even if it's solar, must one expose the gadget to sun? ). Other chinco phone might have come with a solar for charging but not the same technology as employed in other high end smartphones. Truly, many of these feature in those highly priced smartphones are not that useful but it doesn't render them useless. I how USB -on-the-go on my nokia c7 once helped me to get a file from my friend's flash, this happened to be a file I had been scouting for online but with several failed s. You see, some of these features do come in handy sometimes, hardly though. That a mobile phone displayed another brand name on some applications or websites does not necessarily mean it was assembled by dash for dash. I once owned a sony ericsson and I there was this site I visited and it was recognised as Samsung. Likewise, a tecno t3 that I wanted to use to an application online but had its name recognised as HTC on the website. Same thing happened to one LG phone like that. Tecno F7 is a very nice smartphone with an awesome spec and a friendly price. However, comparing it with any high end smartphone like galaxy series is sheer mediocricy and suicidal. They both of course serve almost the same primary purpose and meet the daily required need of the s yet we can't still place them head to head for comparison. You can start clearing your doubt by using both galaxy grand and tecno phantom A1 to take some snapshots in the night. Compare the pictures ( I have done that and can boldly tell you tecno has a poor picture quality esp for snapshots taken in low light) . The difference you'll notice is due to samsung's expertise in mobile phone and gadgets manufacturing. Experience they say is the master. 2 Likes |

brownlord: Arrant nonsense, opon imo abi na kpomo imo, i still do not know the brain behind aregbe's useless policy, Osun state is still the most backward state in of education, am presently serving here and i can say this is a wrong step by the state governor, a state where they dont have up to 3 teachers, they rely solely on corpers and OYES ( teaching practice student ) for teaching this children, in my school only 5 staff, 1 principal, 2 vps and 3 teachers, only 2 of the teachers go to school, the school is about the best in the local government and i wonder what would be happening in the rest, this is the only state that an ss3 student can not speak common pidgin english fluently not to talk of writing it down, student still sit on the ground and a few bring chairs from home, there is no desk in class, our government only engage in project that would benefit them, am sure the money he looted from the so called omoluabi uniform is finished and they looking for avenue to loot more, theres been several occasions for days there would be no chalk in school, during test and exams this children sit on the ground to write exams, why cant aregbe employ more qualified staffs/teachers instead of relying on corpers who come and go and Osun state college of education who most times they themselves cant even speak english, in my school a teacher was caught teaching english with yoruba, if i have the time i will post some script of this student test and exam on this forum for this man to be engaging in all this useless project that would not stand the test of time, in their just concluded waec, even the invigilators from waec are the one pleading with corpers to assist the student, is just a shame for people who are not in the state to be celebrating aregbe for this failed policy An epistle from an unrepentant BIGOT. Don't make me to believe you're from the eastern part of the country cos comments like this is exclusively peculiar to these set of people. Is it only in Osun state that you have few teachers compared to number of students? Or is it only in Osun you have students that can not express themselves properly? That you are serving in a school with such anomalies does it mean every other schools in the whole Ossun state is like that? I also did my youth service in anambra and I can tell you its even worst than what you claimed up there. The day we didn't go to school (I.e CDS day) there would be no school cos corp are the only teachers there. You ask the students question in english they reply in Ibo. I had problem with my principal cos I refused to help the students during WAEC. These things are obtainable everywhere. We should not always come out here and spew rubbish about things we don't know. Even in northern part of the country we have places and cases like that (infact numerous, depending on where you go). The day NIGERIANS stop seeing things from a tribal point of view would be the day we would be one step ahead. We always allow religion, tribe and every other retrogressive vices to becloud our judgement. If that okpon imo is what is going to improve the academic standard of the students (regardless of the number of teachers per school) then why don't we applaud it. You should have it at the back of your mind that before such idea would be implemented it would have ed through a thorough evaluation by the practitioners in the education sector to weigh the pros and the cons. 1 Like |

Hope this would not teleport them back a century. With this their high level of declesion in the smartphone market share is imminent. Unless they dedicate the next days of their life in coming out with new innovations that isn't open source and can conveniently convince gadgets lovers, I don't think BB LOVERS would still have reasons to stick to them, considering the flexibility in Android OS and others.
