Thank you so much Mamas. I have read and re-read your advice. Yes, I intend to connect with Island Maternity tomorrow and as a 2nd Option while I keep holding off till I start feeling what looks like contraction ( I didn't get to labour in my previous 2 children, so not sure what that truly feels like). Baby's original due date is January 2, so I will hold off (baby willing) till near that time and test again, if still positive, I go for Island Maternity. For now, I'm on all my meds and immune boosters. Thanks again. chicaO2: 1 Like |

My mamas, today wasnt a good one for me. I'm 37 weeks and have long been scheduled for elective CS next week Tuesday (38 weeks) due to previous complications. However, last night I developed feverish symptoms and went to hospital only to recieve a positive COVID test. Now, the hospital is treating me like an alien, sent me home to isolate and won't attend to me till I get a negative covid result OR refer me to another hospital that is able to handle covid. My question to anyone who has experienced it; 1. How long after a positive result will I see negative one? 2. I cannot afford to go into labour, should I have the hospital refer me? They mentioned Paelon and when I researched, i found that Paelon hospital requires me to drop 5 million naira to even attend to me. I don't have that, so what can I do now? 6. I am presently on Azythromycin, Coatem, Zinc, Vitamin C and Vitamin D (in high doses) for 1 week. Won't all these drugs affect baby? Will these drugs help the positive change to negative by next week Tuesday? Abeg help me Mamas, I'm totally lost. ![]() |

Oh i'm actually having this too next month. I already had a left salpinjectomy last year. I'll go ahead with the BTL for the right and end the child bearing by God's grace. Its not hormonal but is very permanent (irreversible). NO, it won't make us get fat and it won't stop our reproductive cycle (menses, ovulation etc), it's just that we will not get any eggs fertilised. Because of how irreversible, my doctor has been asking me at every antenatal . He wants to know if I'll change my mind. It will go well for us by God's grace Amen. dunnybaby: |

itwillendinprai: Sis, Hope you are feeling better. Please what province are you in? What school and department? If you announce it here, maybe someone within the province or has ed out from the same department can reach out. Depression is really not a good sign please, plus you mentioned 'coming back home alive' . See, I'm not a defeatist, but if the stress is so much and you have looked everywhere for help (emotional, educational and mental) and there is nothing in sight and you cannot cope, please defer and come home. Just don't be on the other side of the law, it will cause more stress for you. Pls come home and here, we can start afresh. Thanks. 2 Likes |

Many thanks. I will wait for a few more responses like you suggested author=olasubomy post=101834786] Good evening; while you await a response from honourable of this thread, you can also post your question on the Canada Student Visa thread to get a faster response from more knowledgeable on immigration matters. But my own take relates to guidance by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act on Dual intent. "An intention by a foreign national to become a permanent resident does not preclude them from becoming a temporary resident if the officer is satisfied that they will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay" extract from the relevant section of IRPA https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/i-2.5/section-22.html. So I think each applicant receives the benefit of a procedurally fair, individual assessment as long as they can satisfy the reviewing officers (VO) and meet all the Immigration and Refugees Protection Act and Regulations requirements. I am inclined to believe you may not need to withdraw your study visa application given the above. This is my own view; you can await more contributions from other then you make your decision. I wish you success.[/quote] 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello my people o! Abeg help me with this puzzle. I applied for study visa on May 15th but yesterday evening I got an provincial NOI from the same province I got ission. So, i'm about to do upfront medicals and biometrics (as required for study permit) on Thurday which also requires updating the study visa application once done. 1. Should I update the SV application with the medicals and Biometrics once done? 2. Will the study visa application affect my chances of federal ITA or conflict it in any way? 3. If YES, Should I withdraw my study visa application now and wait for federal ITA? I'm following avidly as I have just 1 day to medicals. Thanks in advance |
