Interpretation: Once your phone is out of warranty, you are on your own, even if the damage is cause by an official software update. This is quite appalling.

Thank you guys. Appreciate all the . This is a software issue as widely reported. I bought the phone brand new in April 2022, few months after its release. I think it's time to try other brands.

Guys, in most instances, any phone that is more than 2 years since launch date, it's difficult to get a brand new out there. What you will see are mostly refurbished. This is very common with galaxy 9- S10+ Note 9-10+. Before you buy such phones, check if production has not been discontinued by the manufacturer.

These phones are repackaged at computer village, hence the funny looking box you saw (I've seen it). Infact boxes (+ accessories) are even sold separately if you want. You may be lucky to get a good refurbished one don't get me wrong.

Also, what will prompt you is the pricing. E.g UK used note 10+ is sold at an average of 230k, while the brand new with accessories is sold around at around 250k average (or cheaper). That should tell you something.

Best go for a brand new phone from an accredited dealer or buy UK used from a trusted supplier (but hey, who can one trust these days, some of these UK used phones are stolen phones within and outside the shores of the country). So choose your best poison.

Be careful out there guys.
