AndroBlaze:Ok this hurts. I am a Chelsea fan, but this your statement about Chelsea is the truest so far about his trophy. It seems our shame left with Abramovich. We are too big to be making this much noise about small trophies. I really wanted us to win it only because I just want us to get a trophy; any trophy at all, and because it will be a shame for us to go into such tournament and get beaten by clubs we consider smaller. I celebrate our qualification to the Champions League far more than this trophy though, even though we really needed both. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I notice that in a day, we usually see at least 5 to 10 bad news from the South before we get one bad news from the North. But any time there's one from the North, everybody will not hesitate to call the North names and pour out all kinds of insult insinuating that that singular act from the North is the reason Nigeria is backward. If this happened in the North now, y'all would've called down all kinds of hail and brimstone. People are bad everywhere.

Many policies of the federal government are geared towards building up the Fulani people. The Fulanis are quiet and never shout on social media or on the streets, but they silently control things in Nigeria. We all know they do not truly belong in Nigeria, or anywhere else, as a matter of fact. They are everywhere and nowhere (Buhari said it: He belongs to everyone and to No one), but they control Nigeria's government. That is why you always see policies that favour them; like the RUGA project that would've made the Fulani the only ethnic group to have their own local government in every state of the country. Now this herdsmen attacks and the impunity they enjoy is exposing the plot even to the blind. They are now being rewarded by every state government. El Rufa'i started it in my state and we thought it is just an isolated case. Buhari was promoting the RUGA project and we all said he was just Fulani that was why. They are now committing mass genocide of a holocaust proportion in Plateau and Benue states and the government is silent. Now we can see other states following suit. The land grabbing is almost complete. They mostly target the most fertile lands. The problem with real Nigerians is that we are not united. We always wash our hands off these attacks as long as it is not happening in our place. E go soon reach everybody house. I can never retaliatory attacks, because then, innocent people will suffer the most, but we need to hold this government able for each gunmen attacks; the perpetrators need to be brought to justice. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

GboyegaD:I am very sure that's what y'all keep telling yourselves. Even people like Kemi Badenoch who didn't migrated; people who were born there are now being made to understand that they do not really belong. It's okay. Lets all pretend it doesn't matter. They are only looking for a better life. I just wish them all the best. But as you, it is none of my business; their actions do not affect me in any way. |

irumole1975: Nigerians are the most hateful people you will ever meet; but our hatred is directed towards ourselves, not towards others. But many of us are breaking out of that mould. There is no place like Africa! |

Seriously, what is our obsession with taking pictures of dead people? I came here to see the joyful faces of the rescued, but I am met with a picture of death. We are normalizing violence. That photo in a sensible nation, will be censored. 3 Likes |

I think the japa syndrome is propelled by nothing other than low self esteem. A Nigerian generally considers himself lower and inferior to a white man. Most Nigerians worship white people. We hate been black and despise anything black. So this Japa nonsense we are hearing has very little to do with financial independence. We are a loud-mouthed people who complain about everything, especially the government; as long as we are not the ones eating the national cake. We are just slaves of our own making. We are a disgrace to our ancestors aswear. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Oboy I don read plenty books this year. I read loads of novels this year; Message from Nam, The Winner, etc (More than 20 novels) I also read a lot of Christian and Muslim books. I finally read through the Qur'an (English Translation) after years of starting and stopping. Gosh, that's the dumbest shxt ever concocted by the human brain. Honestly, I mean no offence. I just can't believe people actually accept that stuff as truth. If I was God, I would do better. I have seen better. I also read through a version of Homer's Iliad. Very long poem. |

Love800: Generally, big dogs always need a lot of space to run around and exercise. They hate being chained and caged for too long or they will be dangerous when they eventually get loose. If you are going to put a dog under chains or in a cage, make sure it always stays there. Boerboels and Shepherds (German) are strong energetic dogs that also need a lot of space to run and play around. That, or they need to be taken out everyday for a walk (on a leash though). But Boerboels need that space much more than most other dogs. |
![]() |
Love800:I will choose Shepherds because they are a bit more intelligent if trained and for practical reasons too; they require less space and freedom. I can take them for a walk once every day and it's alright. On the other side though, Boerboels do better with children than Shepherds especially if they grow up together. But I do not have children, so ... |

Love800:I mean, Boerboels love to have a lot of space to run around and dissipate some energy. They hate feeling restrained and they will grow agitated. If you put them under chains, make sure they always stay there, else they WILL hurt someone whenever they eventually get loose. Make them part of the family, but always be strong enough to show them who's in charge. |

That's a Boerboel alright. But I take God beg you, no chain this dog. Either you have a large compound for it to always run around or you always take it out morning and evenings daily to exercise. Make sure it is friendly with the entire family to avoid stories that touch. You are a lucky man. I wish you good luck. Cute Dog. 17 Likes 1 Share |

TheFreshVanilla:Unity among the the northern people is driven by fear (Yes), but not by ignorance or illiteracy. I think the major factor is religion. Therefore, the fear is majorly religious. About 60% of the people in the north are muslims, and they are the ones in power. There is illiteracy in the North, (Yes), but they are not ignorant. Even that is, strictly speaking mostly among the Muslim Hausa speaking people; the ones we call Almajiris. (Even these ones are not completely illiterate, they can read and write Arabic texts). They are always up to date with political happenings in and around the nation and the World at large. So do not be deceived, an average Northerner is well educated and and always aware of political happenings. They are only loyal to a religion that seem to always make them choose to settle for less, as you said. And the political and religious leaders always use that to their advantage. Many of us, non-muslim northerners also choose to resign ourselves to just taking care of our immediate family and nothing else. We do not fight for power or too much because we know we might either end up killed (Patrick Yakowa, Ishaku, etc,) or frustrated. We belong nowhere (We are not fully Northerners because we are not Muslims, and even though many are Christians, the South do not consider us among themselves). So yes, We are driven by fear; fear of the powers that be in the North and of offending the Muslim majority, and fear of not belonging. I wish we could be as stubborn as the Igbos or as competitive as the Yorubas. We do not have the numbers or the resources with which to defend ourselves when $hit hits the fan. I wish we are ethnically homogenous. |

docdes: Honestly, I sometimes wish it will happen, even though we, the non-muslims in the north will suffer the most from it. But I sometimes wish it will happen. Let the country break into its different ethnic nations. Even if not for anything, but just so we will be exposed. Just so we will see our own hypocrisy. The north has always taken the blame square in the face without throwing shades or giving blames and that is making it even stronger than the rest will ever know. The other nations in the south who, for some reasons, even though they are ethnically homogeneous, could not leverage on that common cultural strength to assert themselves, are there fighting each other on social media. The people in the north are hardly ever vocal on social media, not because they enjoy the corruption in the government, but they are not wailers. They are the worst victims of corrupt leadership in Nigeria, yet they seem more united even though they have nothing in common culturally, except for those who are muslims. That is why Nigeria will never break up unless the north allows it, which I believe, is not going to happen any decade soon; maybe, not even this century. |

What I hate the most about Nigeria is not the bad leadership, as bad as that is; bad leadership is everywhere. Besides, bad leadership itself is not the problem, it is simply a symptom of a deeper sickness that involves the entire people. The leaders did not put themselves there; we choose the kind of people we want. What I hate the most about Nigeria is not the poverty or even the insecurity in the land. Poverty is a global issue and it will be with us for a long time. Jesus himself said we will always have the poor with us. And insecurity is, sadly, a global issue too. In fact Nigeria is not even among the top most insecure nations on earth. What I hate about the most about Nigeria is not the battered economy or nationwide inflation. What I hate the most about Nigeria is the kind of culture we are building. The very things that are supposed to make our nation beautiful happen to be the very things we use to tarnish the image of our nation; what am I talking about? I am talking about our attitude towards our country and towards each other. Have you ever met a people who hate or despise the very land they came from? The very place their ancestors lived? The place their fathers fought for and defended with their blood and sweat and tears? Well, you have met Nigerians. (Sorry, I am not talking about Kemi Badenoch). A fully literate and healthy Nigerian will look at you and call his country a zoo. A Nigerian will go on a global platform to insult the land of his birth and denigrate his very own people. A Nigerian thinks nothing of portraying his country in a terrible light simply because he is not the one benefitting from the national cake. But it’s even worse. The way Nigerians see nothing in insulting other tribes or ethnic groups. The way Igbos and Yorubas are always at loggerheads on social media is so embarrassing. The way the “ethnic warriors” and “tribalists” are always quick on any post that involves a name like Emeka, Tunde or Musa. I sometimes want cover my face in shame whenever I see these things. We are building and promoting a culture of hate. Hate towards our country and hate towards our countrymen. The most embarrassing thing is that, we always think that when we condemn and deride Nigeria or fellow Nigerians on the media, we (or our own people) will somehow be respected. But it doesn’t work that way. When An Igbo person and Yoruba person insult themselves on social media, what a Ghanaian or Tunisian sees is Nigeria fighting itself. Simple. You might feel like you identify more as an Igbo man or a Yoruba man than as a Nigerian. There is nothing wrong with that, But the world will always identify you as a NIGERIAN whether you want it or not, at least, for the foreseeable future. You do not have to love Nigeria or be a patriot, but don’t disparage or condemn your country. Stop washing our dirty linens in public; the world will only laugh at us. We are disgracing ourselves in the name of “catching cruise.” Please Stop! |

I am a 33 year old dude who is looking to travel out of the country for undergraduate studies. I spent some years studying Mechanical Engineering in one of Nigeria's top universities, but due to my carelessness, I couldn't graduate. Now I have an offer from my entire extended family to go back to school for undergraduate studies in any country of my choice; that is any country asides the UK. I sometimes feel like I am too old to go back for undergraduate studies, but this is a chance for me to fix some of my mistakes and earn the trust and respect of my family. They are willing to sponsor everything as long as I am willing to continue in any STEM course of my choice. I am thinking of going to Finland to study Medicine, but the language barrier (I am kinda too old to start learning a new language just for studies). Just wondering if I should go across the pond to Canada or USA.I will prefer to study a professional course, and I will love to go the a country where I can stay and work after my studies. I will appreciate any advice. |

Na low self esteem and self-destruct mentality go kill us finish. Is Nigeria not a major world power? We might not be as industrial and economically advanced as other nations, but we are a major market. We are a huge consumer nation and we have the population. We are a powerhouse of brilliant minds and we are open to any and every opportunity. Everybody wants to woo us and, at least, take advantage of our gullibility. So we are a major force in the world. The office of the presidency of The Federal Republic of Nigeria is rightly a World power on his own.

MaxInDHouse:Bu... ..but most of the killings in the Bible were perpetuated, ed or encouraged by the god of the bible. There is no Islamic history without the stories of war. Judaism was established on pogroms and bloodshed. And followers of these three religions will defend with all their strength that these wars and bloodshed were justified because god ordered it. The worst evil I see in the the entire Bible (and entire history, as a matter of fact) was committed by the god of the Bible/Qur'an/Torah. And now he/she/it is threatening us with the worst thing yet imagined; an eternal hell for torture; yet followers still defend this evil. So killing is a minor thing for islam, as it is for their god. It is same for the other two religions under what they will term as "right" conditions. That is why they have such a word as 'blasphemy.' |

Odingo1:I am tempted to agree with you on this; why is Islam still one religion that takes radicalism over the top in this century? But that is the question. Islam actually embodies all the pettiness, "rawness" and primitiveness of the Abrahamic religions. That is why Islam still takes these things serious. Even in Christianity, any denomination that focuses on ritualistic formalities and rites always ends up getting offended by every little thing. It is the pettiness that gives Islam it's simplicity, but is also gives it it's blunders. 1 Like 1 Share |
