Starvation is severe and not what you described.
Look for verifiable sites like that belonging to hospitals and paediatric websites like kids health.org.

Please enlighten me what is “Starvation poop”.

Quite a few things can make baby,s poo green for example if they have started eating mashed vegetable,are on antibiotics or iron or you are and are breastfeeding.

I would not advice you give zinc if baby does not have diarrhoea.Just try to give more milk and a bit of water if they appear hungry/dehydrated.

In very rare cases there is an infection but the colours to panic about are black in babies over 2weeks ,white and red at any age.

Good afternoon mummy's in the house, please I have a question,my two months baby boy is having dandruff on his head,they are much especially if you're combing the hair you will see them coming out,I always wash the hair and am putting baby oil after bath and if I want to dress him for sleep, but no improvement. I started applying olive oil for like a month now but still no improvement,he is the hair type so I Barb his hair like 3times from birth till date,but locally made by this traditional barber's.please any one with advise no matter how little it will help.

that's cradle cap. it will resolve on its own or apply oil and comb

Depends on baby’s immune system but a few weeks should not matter at all.
Those 5 in 1 diseases it helps protect baby against scare me especially Hepatitis so….You can try another private health centre they might have the pentavalent or wait.

please mothers, my baby wasn't given Penta at 10 weeks then our next visit was supposed to be on the 10th this month ( last week) but we were told that vaccines at all except we will travel out of the state to get them, that they are expecting it after election. my question is, will it have any effect on the baby if we wait for long cos I don't joke when it comes to immunization

compliments of the season, please Mama's my baby immunization site is slightly swells and hard and it's almost two weeks. I went to the clinic yesterday to complain and the nurse on duty was not friendly and told me to apply cold towel on it and come back on Friday. we are two months and the weather is very cold and my baby still have cough and catarrh. should I still apply the wet towel or wait till Friday?

I don't know about reducing the weight of the baby but I have given birth to a baby weighing 3.7 after VBAC

I was asked to bath him normal after it. But to use cotton wool and plain warm water to dab around the area to remove any left over soap, same as after each nappy change to remove urine around the area. I applied penicillin afrerwards, though the hospital said i shouldn't apply anything

hmm, thanks. I was told not to apply penicillin but blue seal Vaseline so that it won't glue to his diaper

please Mama's come to my aid. when should I start using soap on my baby after circumcision? he was circumcised on Saturday, whenever I want to change his diaper and see the site, my heart bleeds. I just cleaned his body and apply Vaseline on it

Hi mama please help! My 10weeks old baby who used to be a sleep lover like other babies suddenly cannot sleep again for the past two days.

Usually after his morning bath, I breastfeed him and off he goes to sleep. He can sleep for upto 7hrs or more and maybe wakes up in-between to feed. But for the past two days he'll sleep for a maximum of 2 hrs and will not go back to sleep until night. And even at night he struggled with sleep and eventually slept around 1am and woke up by 6am. Meaning he couldn't even get upto 10 hours sleep a day for two days now and he's just 2 months and few weeks old.
Aside the sleep issue, he's temperature is normal, he breastfeed well, he poos well but just cannot sleep and as long as he's awake, he wants to be carried. That's a lot of hardwork. Hope I'm not loosing my mind for doing nothing but carrying him from 12pm to 1am. Please who understands this situation and is anyone experiencing this?
Forgive my tone mbok. I just managed to put him to sleep about an hour ago. Something I started trying since 12pm. Pheeeew!

Weldon mamas, please help me with this,I am treating malaria presently which I treated last two weeks, I started having on and of contraction Wich were like 3 to 4minutes apart yesterday, when I stand up to walk I noticed a water will just drop from my vagina,I went to the hospital yesterday I explained to the doctor, she send me for a scan and everything was normal, the water has stopped,the problem now is my lower abdomen is seriously paining me,and my lower back, standing and my walking is a problem now because of the pain, please help me with advice, on how to ease this pain, just 31weeks

haa, what you need is complete bedrest, that's how it starts. limit your movement so baby can bake well. according to my doctor, a day in the womb is better than a week outside.
