Divide and rule can never work with Igbo's,we r wiser now.
AlexBells:
So, I had known this girl for the past 3 years, she lives in Nsukka and I ussually come around since I have a family here when I met her three years ago, she was writing her WAEC and we seem to fall for each other, however she got ission later that year and now in UNEC so we didn't see for over a year becuase I was going through some stuff that didn't give me space to travel and they packed out from their formal house.
Few weeks back, I came to Nsukka for some trainings and given the ASUU strike, she is staying back in Nsukka, this had given us enough time to reunite, the love and desire is still there but a highly Intolerant girl I never knew had just emerged out of the blue.
First, she's from Agbo Delta State, she is one of the people who don't accept being Igbo, okay I have no problem with that but what irritates me is why she always throw subtle insult on the Igbos. Meanwhile since she been on strike she's been the one taking care of their shop where I ussually go to buy stuff and also make withdrawals, apart from the fact that I love her, I prefer to go to her shop becuase they run a POS service so I can easily withdraw and do my shopping right there.
On several occasions, I had overhead her speaking with her mum in their Agbo dialect and I can almost understand them completely despite my being from Nsukka, Ezikoba to be precise. I had asked her on several occasions, if you are not Igbo why do I understand you while you spoke to your mum, she always told me to forget that one.
Then one day a man came to withdraw money and instead of handing the money to her, the man kept the money on the table just about two foot away, so after collecting the money from the table, when the man left she now said "You Igbos don't have respect especially Igbo men, why would he keep the money on the table instead of give it to me", I looked at her and said, I hope you know thats hate speech when you make such generalisation by saying you Igbos while this if at all is an issue is individualistic. I asked her, I'm Igbo what do she think about me, she said I'm different however she wish to change me so I don't have that Igbo attitude, I smiled through that.
Honestly she's decent and intelligent but religious as well and seemingly intolerant in that aspect too, meanwhile I'm not quite the church going type especially because I have a view that religion had severely impaired our society and while acknowledging religion and God, I believe that extremism in religion is as well dangerous, and in another note, I see religion as an aspect of socialisation of which the Nigerian churches is suffering the same decay with the general society and as such I appreciate my peace and most times I isolate myself from most social gatherings.
However we had an argument over time about this whole church and God stuff, she wants me to start going to church, partly her concern is becuase of the rigorous nature of my trainings, she don't appreciate the fact that I'm isolated but the manner she's pressing for that is crazy, this morning she sent me a message telling me that if I don't give my life to christ that I should stop whatever with her, I smiled however to be honest I was hurt.
I'm worried becuase at one point I even considered marrying her, but even if I begin to go to church, what happens to the identity of our children, becuase I know her parents must have been the one that thought her so much intolerance for the Igbos, to even think that she was born and raised in Nsukka. Bellow is the screenshot of her message and reply.
Please I need advice, I don't want anyone to judge her especially as regards her tribal sentiments on the Igbo, I understand it is what she had been fed while growing, shes a nice person generally.
We are good neighbors from a distance but will can never never b one.Avoid playing hypocritical game that's just the fact.
Amb1045:
During the Nigeria-Biafra civil war, many Igbo people fled other parts of the country for the East because they were being killed and massacred wantonly and the government was doing nothing about it.
Many abandoned their homes, properties and businesses for safety. Of them, was a young Igbo architect who had a young Yoruba banker as a neighbour in Apapa, Lagos. He also abandoned his home and with his family fled for the East.
However, the young Yoruba banker, while the war lasted, rented out his neighbour's house and kept every kobo for him while he was in the East. After the war, the Igbo architect returned to Lagos and the Yoruba banker handed over the entire proceeds of the rent and also the house to the Igbo architect.
Some few years later, the Igbo architect became the Vice President of Nigeria and the Yoruba banker established a commercial bank, the first by a private citizen in the country's history.
However, he could not get a license to begin banking operations. Many people were against him because it was unheard of at the time.
At this time, the banker ed his neighbour who was now the Vice President and tracked him to the Christ Church Cathedral, Marina, Lagos on a particular Sunday. He had tried to get appointment to see him in his office but without success.
He and his wife then decided to go lay ambush for him in Church but the security men did not allow them. They then decided to sit by the pew close to the aisle to beat the security in the hope that the Vice President would see them while he walked to the front row. Yet, he still didn't see them.
After the church program they positioned that he will see them on his way out. However, the people following him out and security blocked his view. That was when the banker's wife decided to take a risk and like the woman with the issue of blood, she pulled the Vice President's cloth to get his attention who then turned and saw his old friend.
The young banker then narrated his plight and told the Vice President how he had tried to see him and what he needed to see him for. He told him about his application for a bank licence.
“Don’t worry yourself. Just come tomorrow at the Federal Executive Council meeting which I would preside because President Shehu Shagari would not be there,'' the Vice President assured him.
By 3.00pm the next day, the Finance Minister called the banker on phone that his licence was ready. The rest they say is history.
That young banker was Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun while the architect in this narrative was one of Africa’s Elder statesmen and former Vice President of the Republic of Nigeria, late Dr. Alex Ekwueme. The bank is what is now First City Monument Bank.
- One good turn truly deserves another.
- It is good to love our neighbours as ourselves, and importantly - Honesty pays.

In as much I want new wave in the political sector in Nigeria. I can categorically say this old man is doing what youth should be doing. Technically, South Eastern Nigeria should be the next turn of presidential seat but is as if they are not doing quite alright in gaining momentum around. Preparation is a vital component of any success. If Peter Obi is ready, he should work very well in the campaign segment. I don't want to vote any old man irrespective of tribe. Obi is still quite okay but he should not let me loose my vote.
Tell ur governors to develop their state leave Igbo's alone.Nothing concern Igbo's with any stupid forum.

This SGF group is just for show...... there's no real agreement within the south talkless of southern governors.....if given the chance the South east and parts south south people I know will do everything possible to ensure that the south westerners are kept at the bottom, no successful partnership can happen with this people.

In the interest of national unity and cohesion, he should appoint a Yoruba man into his cabinet. Tinubu appointed Ben Akabueze as a commissioner in Lagos before pushing him to become the DG budget office. Sanwoolu appointed Joe Igbokwe as a cabinet ranking special adviser. Ondo state First Lady is an Igbo lady.
Soludo should do the same in Anambra. It is time fir the SE to reciprocate the kind gesture of the SW. We must build national unity by force
(Awolowo pikin)
You Yoruba are the worst hypocrite in Nigeria.U use the media 2ur favor, can make other tribe like and dislike u.every igboman is wiser now except the gullible ones.Igbo's no b una mate at all.the moment u realize we are all tribalist in nigeria the better for u.
Bro another state to look out for is ebonyi state, that state is on the right path to gteat ness. All southeast states are on the right path with it low domestic debt profile to GDP ratio.
post=108425104: When trying to enlighten ignorant minds that Anambra is the forth largest economy in Nigeria after Lagos, Abuja and Rivers they will be arguing emotionally blindly, Anambra was able to build massive projects like International Airport, International conference centre, Stadium, flyovers, Agulu Lake Hotel, mall, biggest Oxygen poduction plant in the East, bridges and so many others without placing huge debt on the state, still not owing any civil servant or pensioners, while dumb minds are celebrating fabricated IGR when their governors can't fund budgets without borrowing, all I can say they should continue celebrating white lies from their incompetent leaders na them go suffer
Ebonyi,Anambra,Enugu are all doing well in their debt profile and project delivering, payment of pension and salary..Abia state and IMO state needs to sit up in governance and in handling their debt since they are oil producing state.for a greater southeast finally 'IGBOAMAKA'.

Anambra Continues To Excel In Education As 10 Year-Old Ifunanya Nwanegbo Becomes Best Young Mathematician In Nigeria
By Ikenna Aniagboso
Anambra State continues to record excellent results in education as 10 year-old Ifunanya Nwanegbo, a pupil of Mabel Divine International School, Nnewi, Anambra State, has become the best young mathematician in Nigeria by winning a prestigious national mathematics competition.
Miss Nwanegbo defeated no fewer than 200,000 pupils from schools across the federation to win the 18th national mathematics competition with a total score of 98.132%. The competition was organized by the Nigerian Tulip International College, Abuja.
Miss Ifunanya and Anambra State received N400,000 for winning the first prize and a full scholarship, while her school received a photocopier machine.
In a video which has now gone viral online, little Ifunanya displayed rare confidence when she said that she had minor difficulties in solving just a few questions in the competition. Those minor issues took a fractional 1.8% from what would have been a perfect 100% score for Anambra's Nigeria's young mathematics champion.
The State Commissioner for Basic Education, Prof Kate Omenugha, said that she expected nothing less from Anambra pupils participating in any national and international educational competition, noting that the young pupil's brilliance and confidence reflected the standard and quality of education in Anambra State and the values which the State government under Gov Willie Obiano has imbibed in the children.
Prof Omenugha lauded Ifunanya's coach and teacher, Mr Emmanuel Egwuchukwu, for his dedication and commitment.
"This is the spirit that has kept education in Anambra State on the part of excellence and has made our teachers and pupils winners in several national and international competitions", she enthused .
Ifunanya's mother, Mrs Nwanegbo, expressed gratitude to God for giving her daughter the knowledge and confidence to compete most effectively in the competition which described as one "for true champions".
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment in the state, Mr C Don Adinuba, congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on numerous awards which the state has won in Nigeria and abroad as a result of his istration's policies and huge investments in education.
He expressed great delight over Ifunanya's stellar performance, saying it is "consistent with the performance of schoolchildren from the state in national and international competitions like the 2018 Technovation which pupils of Regina Pacis Model Girls School, Onitsha, won in Silicon Valley, United States, on August 9, 2018; the 2019 International Festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics held in Tunisia from February 21 to 27, 2019, where St John's Secondary School, Alor, won the Bronze, the 2021 Global Internet Competition which Queen of the Rosary secondary School, Onitsha, clinched the Gold Medal, in addition to the 2019 World Teachers Day in Abuja organized on October 9 by the Federal Ministry of Education, The Presidency and the Nigeria Union of Teachers with the state winning four of the available 24 prizes whereas most states didn't get any and the few which received did not get more than one each, to say nothing about the fact that the state went home with two of the four vehicles donated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
"This is not to overlook the fact that Loretto Special Science School at Adazi Nnukwu won the first position in the 2016 assessment of schools by the Federal Ministry of Education in the senior secondary schools category while Queen of the Rosary College, Onitsha, won the first prize in the junior secondary schools category and Clement Okondo of the Abagana Central School took the first position in the primary school category.
"There are many other examples we can cite about Anambra's excellence in education like Grundtvig International School winning the Private School of the Year award from the Nigeria Union of Teachers in 2020, but time wouldn't permit.
"Ifunanya, our emerging Chike Obi, has made us proud. She and pupils like her will continue to perform brilliantly under the excellent policies of the Willie Obiano-led istration in Anambra State, even as the istration nears its end.
Anambra and Nigeria's mathematics champion, Miss Ifunanya Nwanegbo, won a cash prize of N400,000.00, a full scholarship by the Nigerian Tulip International College and a brand new photocopier for her school.

They did this because they are not welcome in the civil service and man must chop.
They never got government grant to start their business and it's a open market (meaning if they were not solving a problem, no one would patronize them).
Now, if you reject them from the civil service, you want to take away their business but you refuse to let them go to start their own country, what the foooq is that?
We know that. That is why we know Igbos cannot go home even when we want them to. It’s not only because of trade they can’t go home but because 1. They have no land and too many people for their small region 2. They will start killing themselves because anything for money 3. They are nothing if they are not trading in other people’s lands. That is why we call them the lost people forever wandering unable to live at home. 4. Lack of manners and morals- they will lie cheat and kill and spread the most amount of hate for people that are IDPs in this country
U just writing rubbish let there b peaceful separation let's see if Nigeria no go collapse, mind u I base in the north,Igbo ve good investment all over the world not just Nigeria.
pacespot:
The moment the northerners started questioning Igbo business influence in the north and talking about taking over their properties, that is when Nnamdi Kanu and his Biafra agitators shot themselves in the foot. The fact is that igbos cannot afford to lose their businesses across the country in the name of Biafra or allow any policies to be put in place that will jeopardize their businesses across the country, this is the major economic model and advantage the igbos want to maintain over others in the country, and some of them, the greedy ones still want biafra on top. Imagine controlling the critical economic sectors of other countries while you have your own separate country, biafra. They probably gave Nnamdi Kanu up knowing that his agitation is putting igbos businesses in danger. Nigeria doesn't even need to worry about biafra or IPOB, saying they will stiffle igbos out of markets around the country is enough to quell any agitation for biafra. The truth is that the igbos cannot afford to stand alone as a separate country without setting up their businesses in other countries.
Gbagura:
Fulani understand mind games than anyone. They release this gibberish to dissuade igbos away from thinking properly. Igbos suffer like minor group and yet they are a major group. Any igbo believing this media brainwashing is a big FOOL.
Last last Igbo go make south east their business headquarters(Biafra).small China for Nigeria, biafra economy go de very strong lol
Still a lot of work left to be done. I reckon they’d finish sometime in august.
