This Canada journey will teach you how to search and search and how to be patient, my story started in 2014 with express entry story for another day.

Started this study route February 2022 got my LOA for September 2022 from Sault college(Brampton) in March did my upfront medicals in April.

I submitted my first application in June and the long wait began, had to differ to May 2023 when I got no update from IRCC. Got refused in October 2022 thank God I had found this thread after I had submitted the first time.

Since I already had my GCMS notes before the refusal came I knew what the issue was and how to address it, thanks @olokings for sharing your well detailed SOP. I applied again October 17 2022.

I think you probably need to explain the lump sum and attach evidence and you should be good to go

I do lots of transaction in my bank , real lot, but I don't leave large sum in my naira , I leave It in chinese currency. Now, I put the lump sum into my naira in January 9, it has been there untochable since then...

Start your processing as soon as possible the time it will take IRCC to process visa is unpredictable

Ielts is not a compulsory requirement for student visa except you want to apply for Permanent residency that is the only condition I know that Ielts is compulsory. You can wait for gurus to add their answer too

2 coloured photocopy of your port data page, printed copy of your biometrics letter note: print all the pages o I had to go back to print the last page when I was already at the counter... Print your appointment confirmation letter too. The photocopies can be black and white except data page and go with nose masks. Print all this documents before leaving home it is very expensive to print at vfs.

Abeg how long does it take for LOA to come out for Centennial College From the day they send you the receipt of deposit payment ? Mine has been 2 weeks already and I nvr still see LOA. Abeg wetin dey occur

Mine took 12 days from the day I was issued receipt. You can always email the school that you haven't gotten your letter to acceptance or offer letter they'll reply but it may take a while

God came through for us!!

I came to Nairaland in search of direction and guidance. I have been on the journey for ages and no one could help me financially, so I gave up. After a long while close pals that are in Canada advised me that since I can now afford it, I should try and them in Canada. I tried and got ission in 2015/16, but I opted out again considering the fact that I am now married and it will be difficult to school, work, and work extra to care for the family I will be leaving behind. Again, I opted out.

Fast forward to 2021, two of my close pals (same friends) encouraged me to make a move now. They believe that I can comfortably pay the fees now. Well, this time around, I changed the narrative. I applied for my wife to study while I sponsor her.

She got itted and we started looking for information and the best way to get SP. My good friend who persuaded me to start the journey again was there and feeding me with information bit by bit. But because of my person who knows Nairaland as far back as 2007, I fell back here to search for more information. I don't like to be at the mercy of any man. I started digging and reading timelines. I asked questions 2 or 3 times. I also mistakenly mentioned to my friend that I saw a different view from his in Nairaland. This got him mad and started treating me poorly. I got to a point, I felt it was time to do this thing on my own. I didn't him any longer and if he ask me about the process, I just tell him, we are waiting on God. in between, I had good savings, but money is never enough, so I mistakenly asked him and the other of my friend to help with payment of my wife first-semester fee while I kept my money I already saved as POF. I didn't intend to touch it till she leaves. This also caused another bad blood. Two of them turned their back on me w.r.t. money. If you really love your friends, I will advise, you should avoid asking for money from them. Money spoils relationships a lot.

We got itted in March 2022, but we submitted the application in September 2022 because I want to satisfy my conscience that the money we had was well above what is needed.

It's one year program that is to commence in winter 2023. We paid the first-semester fee and showed a POF of over 13mil. After the application, I removed my mind completely till the allotted time for SP finishes before sending webform. This is not to say we were not checking her email. I raised just one webform on the 12th of December 2022 informing IRCC that the allotted time for review (60/90 days) has elapsed. I didn't hear from them on the 12th and 13th, but on the 14th day of December 2022, my wife's email got a new mail. The email address was strictly for this process. So, I hurriedly opened it on my phone and you need to see the joy overflowing in me.

Majority of the documents I gathered as ing documents (i.e. a letter of reference from my company to a letter of reference from where she volunteered) I forgot to . These were key documents, but God proves Himself...

Upfront Medical: 20th July 2022 at IOM Lagos
Submitted: 13th September 2022
Biometrics: 19th September 2022
Biometrics: ed on 06th October 2022
Background check: 06th October 2022
Medicals ed: 23rd September 2022
Original port Request: 14th December 2022
Review of eligibility: 22nd December 2022
Final Decision: 22nd December 2022
POE: 23rd December 2022

Before I forget, we didn't get any notification via mail or on her IRCC apart from upfront medical ed and Biometrics. every other notification was updated after the Original port Request of 14th December 2022.

Our Covenant highway came earlier than expected.

My final word here to all, everybody's situation is peculiar, though you can have one or two situations that look the same.

To all those waiting, the GOD that did this for us will do for you. Just have faith and believe.

Hi guys I posted sometimes ago about gaining ission for PGD in Canada. I am about to apply for study permit and I want to apply by myself, however I am still a bit behind expecially at the study plan/Statement of purpose part. I studied Geology and I'm going for my PGD in Project Management, can anyhow guide me through how to write my statement of purpose or refer me to someone who can guide me on the whole study permit process. If they do or don't require the deposit, it's their Decision to make..

My question is can I defer my ission to May Intake? because the course offers May intake. And can I defer my ission without paying the tuition deposit? Like do I hold the deposit until my ission is deferred or will I need to reapply for May intake? Okay long post alert!!!!

Timeline......
I had help from a family friend with first application
First application submitted January 20 - Biometrics done Jan 30 and updated same day
Jan 30 background check started
Then the wait started until Feb 18 - application refused
Same day I applied for CIBC notes but got it on March 16 ( 2 days before I reapplied because I add already given up on the notes and decided to reapply)
Refusal reason - source of funds and the officer was not satisfied that the proposed study will be a reasonable expenses (lol all this VO sef)

Used an Agent for the second
Second application submitted - March 18 ( a month after refusal coincidence actually because network delayed payment since 15th around when naira was going crazy and banks misbehaving)
No biometrics since I had already done it
Then I waited for like forever omo.... When I saw that my application was about 3 days to 7 weeks I couldn't wait anymore so I sent webform to remind them that I haven't gotten a decision
I sent webform on 2nd of May and got automatic response
Medical Request - May 5
I had already submitted upfront medicals in March so I messaged IOM they didn't reply my emails for like 2 weeks omo I vexed and went to their office on 22nd to complain they replied my email same day with my updated e-medical sheet
I had already sent different emails to IRCC within the weeks I was ing IOM I fraustrated IOM lol
May 22 I resent email and webform(I don't know which was faster) to IRCC with my updated e-medical
