Hello Nairalanders, Somebody mentioned that I can Commission Junction's program. But when I made further enquiries, I discovered they don't pay cheques nor transfer funds to Nigeria. The only option is Payoneer. Upon further search, I found out that one can no longer receive money from Payoneer into Nigeria banks neither can one withdraw from ATM. Can anybody advise on how to go about this. Thanks. |

Blogging has become a veritable way by which people make money online. Blogging has become more popular as a result of instability in economy all around the world. The level of unemployment is rising with more graduates being rolled out by colleges and university year in year out. For the employed, there is no more job security. You hear about downsizing or rightsizing. Whatever the name it is called, the ultimate is that it usually leads to job loss. On this note, a lot of individuals have resulted into taking their destiny into their own hand by starting a side business. One side business that is thriving is blogging. It does not only provide immediate job for the jobless, it serves as a plan B option for those who are currently employed. What thing about blogging is that it can be started part time. You can start and run it at your own convenient time. The overhead is very low. In most cases, you just leverage on the existing assets you already have such as laptop and internet access. Good enough, even if you don’t have any of these of your own, you can still blog. There are people who started their blogging career simply by using their break time in the office to blog. At times, they might need to wait at the end of the closing hour to blog. This would not help them in building their blog, it also helped them in avoiding heavy traffics which usually characterises closing hours. There are people who started blogging as a part time business who are now living mainly on their blogging income. Blogging is fast becoming more of a career than just a hobby now. Unfortunately, this part of the world is yet to see blogging as a legitimate way of earning income online. They call people who are engaged in blogging all sorts of names such as “yahoo guys”. You are ignorant of what you don’t know. Bloggers earn much more than what corporate managers earn. This may be difficult to believe, but it is just the truth. For instance, with blogging, it is not difficult to earn $100 in a month. This amount is for me to be very conservative. There are people who earn $5,000 and above. But let just work with just $100. When you convert this money into naira, let’s say at N300 (to be conservative again), this will give you N30,000. This is far above our minimum wage rate. So, you can just imagine if you imagine if you are able to earn $1,000 in a month. That translates to N300,000. What of $5,000? That is N1.5m monthly income. How many of our executives earn this much? However, you should not be carried away with these figures. It doesn’t just happen overnight. You need efforts, commitment and time to get to this level. Rome is not built in a day. That is why I say that blogging is a career. You can call it a business. If you want to choose this path, you need to be patient. But the truth is that, it may not take you more than few weeks to cross our national minimum wage rate. What does it take to make money blogging? Apart from your laptop and internet, you will need the following: 1. Choose a niche for yourself. That is, a topic you can write about continuously. Entertainment news is very popular. 2. A website/blog where you can be posting your articles on a regular basis 3. Monetise the website/blog Each process is simple but you require a guide in order to be sure you get it right.
