islandmoon: You are right. I can't count the number of times truck drivers have saved lives by signalling about dangers ahead. Most times, our business drivers don't listen to them cos they are in a hurry to reach Lagos from East. |

This one is not even as bad as what I saw one night while watching Channels news. there were two anchors on that day, Chamberlain and one pretty lady. she blew a kiss to him without knowing that the camera was already focused on them. I was shocked , never imagined they could show off romance in front of TV viewers. Channels TV needs to curb these excesses.lol

Darey00: dear, which part of agbado? I stay at abule oko and you forgot to mention the dust. due to massive road construction going on, the roads are all dusty in the dry season and muddy in the rainy season. no coys or infrastructure even basic amenities here in agbado, ifo LGA except private schools. and lest I forget, don't choose kwara state lest you be posted to baruten LGA. my sis currently serves there and she can't wait to get out. |

January 17, 2015 would make it 4 years that my aunt, Chinazo Ogubie ed away at the age of 32 years. She was the last born of my mum. She came to stay with us when she was just 9 years and i was 3 months of age. She grew to love me and my siblings like her own bosom kids. She was the elder sister i always wanted. Anytime i her or through Owerri, i just can keep the tears away. She had gone through a hard life; got married at 18 years, had a stillbirth, lost her husband to HIV/AIDs at 22 and succumbed to it at 30. I the countless times she would wait for me at the bus park no matter how late just to help me carry my luggage to the village. I would run to her as the next option whenever we were asked to pay any levy in school. She never allowed me do anything at home in the villa; spoiled me to a fault. She would disturb me, asking me to dress up so she can show me off to her friends in the villa. Always intuitive; the first time I had a fight with my ex-bf, she persuaded to go to Aba immediately and make up with him without delay. I could go on and on recounting all the wonderful memories i had of her. my one regret is that i failed to visit her on my last trip to owerri before she died. She had called to inform me that she had malaria and that she would like to see me but i gave her a lame excuse. I pray that God would and bring her back to life on the resurrection day. 3 Likes |

@reddit, please I'm not so good with economic theory and budget wahala. But I have a question to ask. You mentioned austerity measures put in place by government, is the devaluation of Naira part of it? Secondly, what does the devaluation mean for us, will things get better or worse next year if Naira value keeps moving from N193 to say N 250 against the dollar and how will that impact on the cost of living and price of buying goods?

My own contribution is from a biblical point of view. Husbands are to love their wives as their own body even as Christ loved the congregation and laid down His life for them. This is a big responsibility which shows how far a man should go in protecting his wife even to the point of losing his life. Now that's what i call self sacrificing love, the type Jesus had for the congregation. women on the other hand are to have deep respect. It is deep cos it goes beyond what you'd ordinarily show to people around you. The reason being that since a man is deemed the head, he is imperfect and prone to make mistakes. Deep respect will help women not to undermine his headship and reduce friction in the home. with these and the other points listed, we can withstand the test on marriage. 9 Likes 1 Share |
