Wow Nigeria is backwards sha, so they want you as a woman to be suffering with public transport while you can afford a car? If one of theses days you enter one chance bus nko, God forbid. All these years you didn't have a car you didn't get a Mr. Right showing that it's not about car. Any man who will be intimidated about you having a car will still be intimidated about you owning lands and such. That means for the rest of your life with such a man you will always have to live under the standard that you can actually afford just so he won't feel intimidated. Is that the type of life you want?
If you don't buy the car now and you marry then later it will become you can't buy a bigger car than your husband you can't own more lands than your husband and so on . For the rest of your life you won't be able to live to your full potential, this is why many women never get to their full potential in Nigeria
Well said. I wish I could give you a million likes.

A militant to another is a freedom fighter to someone.
Creating a perfect race was strictly nationalistic. For Hittler, it was personal and for national interests.
You can adopt the postive aspects of the idea and create a perfect family that everyone can envy but no jews will die for you to achieve that. Not even umu nnadi.
I do not see how that can relate to you unless you are purely white and your partner is too.
According to Wikipedia:
"The Aryan race was a racial grouping commonly used in the period of the late 19th century to the mid 20th century to describe peoples of European and Western Asian heritage. It derives from the idea that the original speakers of the Indo-European languages and their descendants up to the present day constitute a distinctive race or subrace of the putative Caucasian race.[1]
While originally meant simply as a neutral ethno-linguistic classification, from the late 19th century onwards the concept of the Aryan race has been used as a form of Scientific racism, a pseudoscience used by proponents of ideologically-motivated racism and supremacism such as in doctrines of Nazism and neo-Nazism. Aryanism developed as a racial ideology that claimed that the Aryan race was a master race."

Growing up I had an amazing childhood but my oldman was too busy chasing papers so missed out.
I made a decision to never miss out on my own kids childhood. I made a concious decision to go into stuffs that gives me flexibility and freedom to spend my time with those that means the world to me---Family.
In todays age, ideas rule the game. Partnerships works cool for me.
You can adjust your life style and work from home so you can raise an aryan race.
Have you looked up the definition of Aryan race? It is different from what you probably think it is. This is a term that premeditated the holocaust. It is what Hitler used to justify the killing of Jews.

Dummy just skipping the point and blabbing about married woman this married woman that
Was she aware she was gonna have rough sex? Yes. Did she WILLINGLY return for more? Yes! Was she greedy? Hell yes!
I bet you if those guys were some average broke guys with no power she wouldn't have communicated with them anymore talk more of coming to them after the first 'rape'
To educate your ignorant self, Nigerian constitution now legalised sex with a 13 year old. So whether the dudes were 58 so far she was above 13 then she's ok to have sex
Maybe you're one of those greedy oloshos that can take any shiit because you're gaining financially
So because something is legalized it makes it morally correct? Never been a prostitute and never will be. My parents provided for me, went to great schools and currently in a great job. I have never had the need to sell my body. It is a temple. I can 100% claim here that I am more aware of what's going on in the world. I will advise you to read about abuse and maybe it will improve your myopic views.

I believe the girl, she was naive, the guy was her first, she had little exposure before the guy, the wildness /animal in her was cultured and nurtured by the mustapha guy, she was in love with the idea of mustapha being in love with her. One thing is clear, prior to the tragic events with the gang of rapists, she suffered from lack of affection from her parents /guardian, and she felt she could get it in the hands of a guy who claimed to love her.
I concur. The guy knew about her need for affection and took advantage of her. She probably felt that by giving in to his sexually deviant needs he would love her. Whatever way you look at it the guy abused her.

You are the dumb one here sister (I'm sorry for the derogatory term)
How on this goddamn earth will a human being go back to 'fire', you see a moving bullet and run in front of it, not once not twice. Listen, even if I'm 12 I know when I'm hurt and so far I'm not threatened I won't intentionally put myself in a position to get hurt
Heck this girl was asked for a three'some which she complied, no one pointed a gun at her. She just wanted the adventure #bottomline
You are the stupid, dumb and narrow-minded fool who should leave the hovel you live in and read about what is happening around you. Have you heard of abuse and how the perpetrators manipulate their victims? Why do you have cases regarding rapes that happened years ago? Talk to any reputable psychologist and they will tell you about the effects of abuse on the victims. It is people like you who help in promoting abuse. Most abused victims don't come forward because they know that nincompoops like you will judge them and make them feel like guilty. Why do married women who are adults go back to their abusive husbands? If they do that what more do you expect a 17 year old girl to do? And by the way no self-respecting 25 year old will date a 17 year old because they know that there is a difference in maturity level. Why do you think those rapist brothers decided to abuse a 17 year old, because they knew that she was just a kid. He started off by being nice to her and taking her under his wings. Typical manner of an ab. Of course their colleagues thought he was just being nice to her, not knowing that he was a predator. There is a lot happening out there and with the internet you can find out so much stuff. No need to limit yourself. Broaden your horizons and you would learn to reason like someone who has more than average intelligence.

Yup, like false rape, for starters.
You must be one of those men that feel that as long as you are in a relationship with a woman you can have sex whenever you want. If a woman says no and you go ahead and have sex with her it is considered rape. I hope you are in Nigeria because if you dare venture into the US with this kind of mentality there is a probability that you would end up behind bars like a lot of your African brothers.

So drugging a person and having sex with them is now considered consensual sex? What about the hush money he paid to some of the women? He just felt generous. Why did he try to stop the press from releasing those court documents? Why was he stripped of his honorary doctorates? Why is he practically in hiding and his tour was cancelled? You are an idiot. Can you not see she was just 17? Why do you think there's a law in place in civilized societies that considers 17-year olds to be minors? Some of you people really need to get out of your gutters and read about what's happening around you. Do you know how abs manipulate their victims? There have been cases like this in the UK and fortunately for the victims their abs were finally imprisoned. Why do married women who are adults go back to abusive relationships?
Sheesh sometimes when I read the comments made by some of you on Nairaland I ask myself what I am doing on a forum that seems to have primitive and backwards people posting narrow-minded opinions.

This still doesn't change the fact that you put yourself in the situation! I hate to be frank but no 17 year old child gets f*cked in the car multiple times, gets maltreated so bad and keeps going back for more. You mentioned he had multiple pix of your unclothedness and that he might display them for the public but is that really worse than getting raped multiple times, all the things you mentioned such as anxiety medication and suicide attempt are not new to me, most folks in America suffer from one anxiety or the other. Perhaps it was your youthful ignorance or maybe the lack of proper home training but sister you were just as much as a participant as the guys involved. If you truly wanted to move on from this nightmare, you would stop publicizing it over and over, just let it go! From what I've read from you so far, it seems you are still very much hurt and very vindictive. Seek more psychological/spiritual help to cleanse yourself completely as this path you've chosen to follow will only end in disaster!
And please don't get defensive when people question your integrity, even in the USA, a rape case not reported, with little to no evidence or witness will often result in the case being thrown out. The choice is yours, continue on your vindictive path and score some cheap publicity points or move on with your life and be progressive!
Stop displaying your ignorance on the internet. Have you ever sat down with an abuse victim and listened to how abs are able to manipulate their victims? Why would she be quiet? I have a feeling you are one of those teenage rapists that is why you want her to be silent.
Look at Bill Cosby, he raped women 30 years ago and now he is under scrutiny. What about Roman Polansky, he ran away from the US and he definitely would never return to that country. There are so many cases in the UK and they date back to the 70s and 80s

I thank God there's someone who shares my thoughts. All these titles are not important. My boss is at least thirty years older than me but if I called him sir he would probably die of shock. Despite the fact that we are on a first name basis, I have massive respect for him. In Africa we place emphasis on less important things. What's the point of having all these titles when we can't even command respect like the case of the op?

Aude(f): 4:14am On Nov 10, 2015 |
@Op
The maid is there for your future father-in-law, not for the whole family. She's not there to run errands for you. Stop trying to take advantage of her. If you want to use her services you can come to an agreement with her and pay her extra. All the things you have listed are very petty issues. Why do you make a big deal that your fiance is paying his father's household bills? Who do you expect to pay them? What is wrong with her calling you by your name? I'm sure she's even older than you. You think the lady is stupid. She probably knows you want her gone. At least she doesn't pretend by smiling in front of you and cursing you behind.
Honestly if you were dating my brother I would ask him to postpone the wedding. You aren't yet in the house but you want things done your way. You seem to be getting involved in issues between both brothers.
Please understand househelps are human beings and don't ever think you are better than anyone. If you were someone who grew up with househelps you would know how to treat them better.

So in this day and age people still go back home to look for spouses? Why couldn't he find a wife amongst the multitude of Nigerian ladies in North America. I feel sorry for the man but he's the architect of his misery. How much courting did he do? How often did he see the lady in question? I always suspect guys who leave abroad to go and find wives in Africa. To me they come across as being controlling. That's why they go for ladies whom they believe are not exposed to western culture and may be meek and timid. So all this while he was in the US he didn't date any Nigerian lady? Well he has learnt his lesson.

Sometimes i really don't know what recruiters and employers want from job seekers. Everyday recruiters keep complaining Nigerian graduates are unemployable when they haven't given the competent ones the opportunity to take over key positions in their firm. The fact we don't have all the necessary skills doesn't make us unemployable because when given the right training we can perform explicitly . My lecturer that taught me geophysic didn't teach us how to apply geological software simply because he don't know how to use the software. He ed such crude knowledge to us and we did the little we could to make it out of school.
When i went for internship in a big oil firm after graduation, that's when i know most of what we are taught in school are rubbish. They waste our time in school learning what is not applicable in the real world. We spend time to learn and cram theories whereas what we need to succeed in the real world is pure practical and skillful knowledge. I had the opportunity to learn the applications of geological software for seismic interpretation and fault modeling which my lecturer don't know even as a doctor in the field. Thank God i had the opportunity to learn and develop myself.
To mitigate the problem of producing unemployable graduates, our curriculum and teaching methodology need to be re-structured to accommodate practical and skillful knowledge.
I went for an interview in an oil firm and the recruiter asked me to tell him more about myself, then i started
I am butanep from delta state, studied Geology from University of Benin, an ICT expert in the area of data base management. I am a dynamic fellow because my discipline has exposed me to different areas of life and career. I am a certified safety officer because safety comes first before any work is done effectively.
I have a basic idea in the application of geological softwares like petrel and powerlog. I had the opportunity to use them during my industrial training at NNPC. I was able to generate a 3D seismic model on olumu well of the Niger delta basin and also generate a correlation to other wells in the basin. I did a paper presentation on the fault history of the Niger delta basin and was given credit for the work. I have plans to publish the work very soon.
I am one fellow eager to learn because continuous learning is the key to a successful career. i want to keep developing myself until my impact is felt in the petroleum industry and the Nigeria economy. I am an indispensable tool which any company or organization will love to hire
Thanks sire.

The man laugh and said i taught you know everything about your field. I was down for a bit but didn't allow it to kill my confidence. i asked that's the little i can say within the shortest possible time. When i wanted to talk more, he said i should stop. some recruiters can be morale killer i swear.
Gold45,Aude and the others in the house. please can you tell me what is wrong about the introduction and make possible corrections . Thanks
This question is about the interviewer getting to know you and what you can bring to the company. He wants to know your skills and experience and maybe get to know you as a person. You started off by talking about your educational background which is already listed in your cv. If the interviewer has done his homework he already knows what is listed in your cv. No need to repeat what is in front of him. This is a very regular question and one that a lot of candidates find difficulty in answering. You are trying to show the interviewer why you are the right person for the job. Also you mentioned that you have " a basic idea in the geological software", that is a big no no. Why would they employ someone who has basic knowledge? All you should have said is you have working knowledge. No company wants to spend money training employees when they can hire experienced people.
You should start off your answer by talking about what you are currently doing and linking it to the skills that you would bring to this new position. My advice would be to google this question and read the various articles that talk about answering this question. Try to limit your answer to a few minutes and put yourself in the place of the interviewer. What would a candidate say that would make you want to get to know more about them. that the interview process can be also boring to the interviewer and they would be certainly happy to meet candidates that can pique their interest and appear to know what they are doing.
