This issue is a bit straight forward when following the UK government guidelines but the issue of ambiguity arises because of misinterpretation from boarder control both in Nigeria and in the UK.

The British government mandates children between 5 and 17 not resident in UK should take a pre departure test as well as day 2 and 8 test. ,while children ages between 5-10 who are resident in the UK dont need a predeparture test . It looks straight forward but when I traveled I asked a lot of questions on both sides Nigeria/UK and some are aware of the rules while some aint aware at all. Some would tell you your kids need it while some would say they dont. The confusion stems from the residency , because the rules are different for children resident in Uk and Children not resident in UK.

Your best bet is to follow the government guidelines,you never know which set of border control you would face.According to the guidelines, your kids need a predeparture test.

Someone assisted with this - Affidavit and publication in one of the recognized dailies (ie Guardian/Punch)

They publish on particular days of the week, so check which is closest. The fee I is N10,000, but someone stated 5-7k. I doubt if that amount will cover both. Not sure.

The newspaper publication must make reference to your SSCE and BSC certificate stating you are one and same person. You will also need to add these documents to your visa application and make a brief note about it under additional information.

Which does your birth certificate and international port bear?

Did mine for 7k last month .. I was sent both the hard copy of the newspaper and the soft copy of the news paper . Some news papers are more expensive than the other . That’s the reason the prices vary . But from me to you , affidavit is only 250 , that’s the amount they pay to cash office . So you can price the affidavit to 1k sef .

Affidavit of “name confirmation “ and to make it better, you can do newspaper publication of name confirmation . It’s just to say the two names are the same person , bla bla bla . It’s 5-7k for the two ( Affidavit and newspaper )

later one they responded to my paid email that decision as been made.

In the refusal they wrote

"This means that any future entry clearance applications may also be refused under the Immigration Rules for a period of up to 10 years depending on the type of application you make. The period of 10 years starts from the date that the deception was used in this application for a visa."

I guess that is 10 years ban. Right?

I just saw that going there may not be an option but you are allowed to post the test . Also there are nhs covid providers or so that you can call to go on errands for you while in quarantine . You can also ask friends , families to help you post it ..

So this is the situation today , those who came early even at 4am were not attended to . He’s just attending to spill over of yesterday. Those of us who stayed till 3pm yest , he collected our application number yest. Then this morning , he came with the list and called us in then told today’s walk in to go and come back. So best bet is to go around 2pm , kos that’s the time he takes their application number for the next day .. but if you don’t mind waiting the whole day . I did mine this morning and finished around 10am

So today too , at almost 3pm , he came out and took our names , they would attend to us first tomorrow bf attending to the day's list if they can.

You should only documents stated on your CAS. So if your transcript is included then Yes.

Ok thank you , though it’s confusing right now kos on my CAS , they mentioned “bachelor of Law , (then my uni’s name ) . During my application, I submitted my statement of result ,student transcript copy and attestation letter (from my undergraduate uni) kos they took back my certificate, there was an error in it , and they had not returned it at the time I made the application .
