Restrictions hardly apply on Wifi, you should know that.

Secondly background data is there to restrict.

Background data restriction is not doing anything.
Just resigned to using ultra battery saver mode. That way, the Google app won't work whilst I'm using WiFi.

3. Disable the app if you rarely or don't use it.
4. if you use it, then open the app and scan through its settings... there are few options you can check or uncheck to reduce data consumption.

Hi, I connected my pocket WiFi device to my RN7 for the first time. I discovered that the "Google" app used almost 2gb within the space of less than two hours without having anything to do with the app. Is there a solution to this?. I tried searching the internet for answers but found nothing tangible.

I'm trying to avoid WhatsApp in the meantime.
I've restricted it from data usage but I keep getting shown the WhatsApp logo at the top of my phone like when someone chats you up (but in this case it's a notification about lack of Network access). It's distracting.

Just turn off WhatsApp notification from the app's settings, that should do the trick.

Pls, i trying to update my Redmi 8 but am stuck on this 83% for over an hour now. Who knows a way out to continue the update without it starting all over? I have switched off data several times and equally switched on airplane mode hoping to remedy this issue but it's not working out.

Good day, my "solution" to a situation like this is to click on the bar showing the percentage and options would pop up to "Continue ing"(sth like that I'm not sure) or cancel, click on "Continue ing" and it would resume, I've used this for myself a lot of times(just my personal experience, not guaranteed it would work for you) when there's a pause as a result of a network glitch.

Hopefully, this helps someone out.
