Hello Fam, I’m new to the Selar platform, and I’m excited to finally have my product out there for the world to see. But I also know that just ing a product isn’t enough - sales don’t magically happen overnight. I truly believe in the value of what I’ve created, but now I’m at that critical point where I need help turning visibility into actual sales. Please, what can I do to attract real buyers to my book on Selar? I’m ready to learn, grow, and do the work - I just need a little guidance on where to start. Any tips, advice, or steps you can share would mean so much to me. Thank you. |

I recently took a big step, I published my first eBook. After pouring my heart into writing a book I believe can genuinely change lives - a book that speaks to financial struggle, emotional pain, and the silent battles so many people face - I ed it to Amazon KDP with hope in my heart. But to my shock, my submission was rejected. Amazon's response? “Based on our review, we won’t be accepting your submission for publication because the book(s) might result in a disappointing customer experience.” That was it. No clear explanation. No direction. Just... rejection. It’s hard to understand, especially because I know - deep down - this book is of real value. It’s professionally written, heartfelt, and crafted to help a certain category of people avoid money loss, emotional burnout, and even depression. The quality is not in doubt, I made sure of that. So why was it turned away? Honestly, I’m confused and deeply discouraged. But I’m not ready to give up. My work matters. My message matters. This effort cannot go to waste. Please, if you know of any other profitable and reputable platforms (aside from Amazon KDP) where authors like me can publish and earn from their books, kindly share them with me. I’m ready to keep pushing. I believe this book will reach the people who need it. |

Thank you for sharing your perspective. You’ve highlighted the structure of marriage within both Islamic and Christian traditions, and I respect the intention behind your argument. However, I believe it’s important we look at this matter more deeply and in context, especially when addressing divorce from a Christian standpoint. First, let’s address the implication that Christian doctrine absolutely forbids divorce. That’s a widespread misunderstanding. While it’s true that Christianity values reconciliation, the Bible does make room for divorce under certain conditions. In Matthew 19:9 (KJV), Jesus clearly says: “And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery...” This verse shows that infidelity is a legitimate ground for divorce in Christianity. The apostle Paul also acknowledges another valid reason in 1 Corinthians 7:15: “But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases...” These scriptures reveal that while marriage is sacred, divorce is not a sin when it’s done under righteous conditions, especially when the union becomes harmful, abusive, or irreconcilable. Now, let’s talk about clergymen: people who are highly respected for their deep understanding of doctrine, theology, and spiritual guidance. Are we to assume that these spiritual leaders don’t understand the biblical principles of marriage and divorce? Let’s look at a few real-life examples of prominent Nigerian pastors who have gone through divorce: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Pastor Chris Okotie of Household of God Church has divorced more than once Pastor Joshua Iginla openly itted to a broken marriage due to infidelity Pastor Eucharia Anunobi, also a movie star, walked away from an abusive marriage (Source: Jojonaija – 8 Popular Nigerian Pastors Who Divorced Their Wives) https://jojonaija.com/8-popular-nigerian-pastors-who-divorced-their-wives/ Would you honestly say these leaders lack spiritual understanding? Or could it be that they (like many others) recognize that divorce, while painful, can be the healthier and more spiritually sound decision in some circumstances? Finally, while it’s true that different traditions provide frameworks for resolving marital issues, forcing people to remain in harmful or lifeless marriages just to uphold religious vows does more harm than good. True commitment includes ability, love, safety, and peace - not just endurance. In the end, every person must be free to honour both their faith and their well-being without judgment. And that’s what resources like “How to Get a Divorce in Nigeria” aim to - guiding people through difficult decisions with clarity, legality, and dignity. pongwa:

WHEN WALKING AWAY IS THE WISEST CHOICE… Divorce is never an easy topic to talk about - especially in our Nigerian society where culture, religion, and family expectations often make it feel like a taboo. But the truth is, there are times when staying in a marriage does more harm than good - mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Maybe you’ve tried everything. Maybe you've prayed, fasted, begged, or endured silently for years. But the abuse hasn’t stopped. The cheating hasn’t ended. The lies, manipulation, or emotional neglect continue to break you down. In such cases, divorce isn’t selfish - it’s survival. Even in Christianity, Islam, and traditional beliefs, divorce is permitted - though under certain conditions. God values peace, love, and safety in a marriage. When these are missing, and efforts to restore them have failed, it is okay to seek a peaceful separation rather than stay and suffer. That’s why the book “How to Get A Divorce in Nigeria” was written - to bring clarity, comfort, and legal guidance to people walking this difficult path. This book is not just about the law; it’s about you - your right to be safe, your right to be heard, and your right to start over. Inside this easy-to-understand guide, you’ll learn: The divorce laws in Nigeria and how they apply to your situation The valid grounds for divorce under Nigerian law [A step-by-step guide to legally separate from your spouse How to handle child custody, property sharing, and settlements What to expect in court, the required documents, and how long the process takes Whether you're just thinking about it or you're already in the middle of a court battle, this book is your companion. It explains everything in -plain language - no legal jargon, no confusion - so you can make smart, informed decisions and protect yourself and your children. “How to Get a Divorce in Nigeria” is not about encouraging divorce. It’s about helping those who need it navigate the process with dignity and strength. Because sometimes, walking away is not a sign of weakness - it’s the first step to healing. Take charge of your future - one legal step at a time. Get your copy of How to Get a Divorce in Nigeria today, and walk into your freedom with your head held high. Hookup refers to casual sex or uncommitted and consensual sexual encounters, usually done for financial gains. To put it plainly, hookup is just a fancy word for prostitution. Typically, there is an agreement between the parties involved on what the expectation of the arrangement is and the responsibility of each party. Hookup has become a fast spreading culture in Nigeria that has been especially aided by technology. These technologies ranges from the plethora of hookup or “dating” apps, e-hailing cab services, online hotel booking, etc. ![]() In recent times, an incredible amount of women ( single and married) have been indulging in this trend either openly or discreetly. While economic reasons are attributed by some for their involment in this trend, a good number do it to finance their craving for a luxurious lifestyle. In this article, we highlight ten signs to shows that a girl is into the hookup business. She stays out all night A woman always staying out all night is an unmistakable sign that she is into the hookup business. Of course, the exception is if she has a job that requires her to work nightshift. Church vigil is also an exception. However, don’t be fooled! Some use church vigils as an excuse to leave the house at night. They actually might have a skimpy dress and make-up kit concealed in their handbags! She has “Dating” apps on their phones ![]() The rise in popularity of dating and “Hookup” apps is one factor that has significantly boosted the hookup trend. Some popular apps that are used for hookup include Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble, Badoo, Olosho, Bingdum, Zoosk, SnapChat, EverMatch, Ablo, SweetMeet, OnlyFan, CodedRuns, etc. These apps or sites are platforms for finding partners for hookup activities. Finding a partner on them is as easy as swiping right on a profile photo. This has made the trend increasingly popular as a huge number of hookup females are ed on these platforms either openly or discretly. Therefore, If you find any of these apps on a girl's phone, chances are high that she is into hookup. She gets a call, dresses up in a hurry, and leaves the house One good sign that a girl is into hookup is when she gets a call, and then proceeds to dress up in a hurry and then leaves the house. When a randy fellow discovers a girl that he likes on a hookup app, he then s her. After and conditions have been agreed upon, this often prompts the girl to up and leave the house in a hurry. The need for haste is often so that the clients does not change his mind – or connect with some other hookup girl. That’s right – when you notice a girl scurry out of the house, especially in a provocative attire, and straight into a waiting Uber, she is likely off to a hookup venue. She often posts pictures of hotel rooms on her status ![]() After the hookup business has been concluded in a hotel, guesthouse, or serviced apartment, the client – especially the married ones – would depart to their homes, leaving the girl in the hotel room. This period affords her the opportunity to take as much selfies as possible in the beautiful ambience that the hotel room provides. Therefore, if she is always posting pictures or videos of hotel rooms or mirror selfies on her Insta-stories, WhatsApp status, tiktok, etc – especially when she is wearing white towels or bathroom gowns – then she is most likely into hookup. She twerks on her whatsapp Status or tiktok Twerking, dancing seductively or posting obscene picture of her body on social media is a fantastic strategy for attracting patronage for hookup. Posting sultry photos or videos on her social media is bound to lure randy men on her list. So if she does these frequently, then there is a huge possibility that she is hunting for patrons for hookup. She lives in a shared apartment with other girls ![]() In big cities in Nigeria, hookup girls typically live in shared apartments. This is especially common in exclusive areas with close proximity to rich potential clients. A hookup girl typically cohabits in the shared apartments with other females, who are often in the same line of business. This way, they split the expensive rents amongst themselves, which are paid either weekly or monthly. In Lagos, these sort of shared apartments are common on the Island especially in places like Lekki Phase 1, Chevyview Estate, Ikota Villa Estate, Osapa London, etc. On the mainland, they abound in places like Festac, Allen Avenue, Opebi, etc. She flaunts expensive stuff without any identifiable source of income She is always flaunting expensive phones, hair attachments, bags, jewelries, etc but she has no identifiable means of income. Chances are high that those items were acquired with the proceeds from the hookup business. She is into hard drugs or alcohol ![]() Hookup business is no easy business. It requires energy, boldness and fearlessness to deal with and have sex with strangers. To overcome these issues and to boost their energy and confidence, women in the hookup business often turn to hard drugs or alcohol. So, a woman who is into recreational drugs such as Marijuana, tramadol, Colorado, shisha, etc is most likely into the hookup business. She poses as an online vendor Hookup girls often camouflage as an online vendors who sell clothes, jewelries, perfumes, hair, bags, etc. Some also claim to be actresses, social media lifestyle influencers, video vixens, makeup artistes, etc. However, a keen observation would reveal that their inventories or type of work cannot possibly be the source of their expensive or luxurious lifestyle. She is facinated by Body enhancement or tattoo ![]() In the hookup business, a banging body attracts high patronage, especially from the big spenders. This is one reason why most women in the sex trade are often obsessed with the idea of enhancing their bodies by surgical methods. If a girl is facinated by body enhancement, or she has undergone medical procedures such as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Breast augumentation, etc, she is most likely a hookup girl. Bonus She keeps an extra phone A smart business move by hookup girls is to own a dedicated phone for the hookup business. On this phone, she s herself flirtatiously on her whatapp and social media to elicit interest from randy clients. Typically, none of her close friends or family are on the list neither do they have the phone number of this line. In this manner, relatives and friends remain unaware of her hookup activities. ![]() There are always serious arguments, especially on the internet, each time the revered monarch, the Oba of Benin, ventures out of his kingdom. The cause célèbre is frequently based on an idea that the Benin monarch does not travel outside his domain. According to some narratives, by traveling outside Benin, the supreme monarch of the Benin kingdom has broken some long-standing traditions prohibiting him from leaving his kingdom. So, does the Oba of Benin breach any tradition by journeying outside of his Kingdom? ![]() The current Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has twice visited President Buhari at Aso Rock in Abuja According to research by jojonaija.com, contrary to popular narrative, documented history - cutting across multiple centuries - confirms that the different Obas of one of the world's most illustrious cultures sojourned outside their kingdom during their reigns. For instance, on 12 August 1950, Oba Akenzua II, traveled to London, United Kingdom. ![]() Oba Akenzua II at Buckingham Palace, London, United Kingdom in 1950. In 1979, Oba Erediuwa visited Ife to see Oba Adesoji Aderemi at his palace. ![]() On 30 April 2004, the late Oba Erediauwa I, was at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos to launch the controversial book, “I Remain, Sir, Your Obedient Servant” – a book he authored. So, where did all of this entirely erroneous idea come from? It all started when a famous Benin music artiste, Osayomore Joseph, popularized the phrase "Oba no dey go transfer" in his early 1980s song “Ororo no dey fade." The literary translation of "Oba no dey go transfer," is that, unlike civil servants or employees in any orgniztion, the Oba cannot be redeployed to a different area of work - or in this example, to a different Kingdom. “Oba no dey go transfer”, this well-known Edo aphorism is what has been widely misinterpreted or misunderstood to suggest that the Oba of Benin does not leave his kingdom. Conclusion: No known or documented custom prevents the Oba of Benin from traveling outside of his kingdom. The Benin monarch can travel anywhere he wishes; however, they rarely exercise this liberty. When the Oba travels, he travels with an entourage of at least 200 people. They include royal courtiers, a group of cultural dancers, palace drummers, bodyguards, dance and theater troupes, and palace chiefs. In a country where traditional leaders rely solely on the government for the provision of public infrastructure, the Traditional Representative of the Oba of Benin in Unuamen community, Ovia North East, Edo State, is proving to be an exception. Chief (Engr) Kingsley Igbinosa, the traditional head of Unuamen village in Ovia North East, has installed solar energy streetlights worth millions of naira in his domain. The Okao of Unuamen village spearheaded the project, which is aimed at improving the living conditions and security of the residents of the community. ![]() With the rising insecurity in the state, the street light project is considered a big relief for the rural community of Unuamen village. The project also aims to increase the community's nighttime economic activities. Chief (Engr) Kingsley Igbinosa said he began installation of the street lights in his domain to Governor Godwin Obaseki's efforts to provide basic infrastructure for the people of the state. He said: “One of the motivations for the project is the need to reduce the rural-urban migration of the youths in the community. "With the street lights and other modern facilities that had previously been absent in the community, there will be a sense of enthusiasm to remain in the community rather than drift to neighboring towns and cities," the Okao stated. This is the first phase of the process, which will ensure that the town is brightly lit at night. ![]() These solar-powered street lights were originally installed in the area surrounding the Okao palace. However, they were extended and placed in streets with heavy human and vehicular traffic activities at night. The streetlights have already been erected across the Unuamen Community. Phase 2 of the project, on the other hand, will focus on making the community more lighted by illuminating the spaces between the installed ones. Unuamen community is a community situated in Ovia North East of Edo State. ![]() In Unuamen community, the traditional head goes by the title “Okao.” Chief (Engr) Kingsley Igbinosa is the current Okao. In April 2017, the palace of the Oba of Benin installed him as the Okao of Unuamen. This came after the Oba's consent on February 8, 2017. He succeeded his late father, Chief David Igbinosa-Aruevbose, who ruled from 1979 to 2015. Since Oba Ewuare 1 (1440 -1473) installed the first Okao of Unuamen, succession to the throne has been strictly based on primogeniture. Since his installation as the Unuamen community's traditional leader, he has devised a set of regulations to safeguard the community's peace, progress, and tranquillity in the present and future. The prohibition on the indiscriminate sale of community lands is one of these rules. Cc : SarkinYarki Source: https://jojonaija.com/community-head-installs-street-lights-in-his-community-see-photos/

Ye was up at 5 AM PT to post Trevor's pic and caption it with the mocking and racist lyrics, "K**n baya my lord k**n baya K**n baya my lord K**n baya Oooo' lord K**n baya." Noah ended his video by asking the question: "If Kim cannot escape this, Kim Kardashian. If she cannot escape this, then what chance do normal women have?" Trevor likened it to his own mother being shot by his stepfather... and advised that society cease making jokes about Kim and Ye's divorce. "Do we wish to stand by and watch a car crash when we thought we saw it coming?" Source: https://jojonaija.com/kanye-west-attacks-trevor-noah-in-a-racist-instagram-rant/ 1 Like 1 Share |
