Previous thread: https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/8446358/nurse-refuses-treat-accident-victim
It is very important to know that not all females working in the hospital are nurses, likewise, not all males working in hospital are doctors. The recent incident that happened in Federal Medical Centre in Abuja shows a doctor who refuses to attend to an accident victim and from the video captured, it took more than 4 minutes before help came to the victim. I am not saying it is the duty of that dr to bring out the patient. Infact, it is not the duty of a doctor nor a nurse to bring out the patient.
There are people designated for that but this is Nigeria where right things goes wrong and wrong things goes right.
It is just sad that Nigerians in our myopic way of thinking are quick to point an accusing finger to Nurses if anything goes awry in the hospital forgetting that not all female you see in the hospital are Nurses. There was a post here, that tagged a Nurse as the culprit who refuses to assist the accident victim.
But the said person is not a nurse but a doctor. Her name and title is boldly written on her left chest. We need to know that everyone should be able for his or her actions. Everything, especially unfortunate circumstances doesn't boil down to Nurses who are been rate low in the health sector.
we're talking about human life, you are here talking about hierarchy

Yes, I will definitely criticise them if they do silly things, like VDM pressing the butt of an unknown lady. That's insane for a guy who - many Nigerians think - stands for something positive.
did the lady complain??

All I can say is that Sowore, VDM and Deji should take up this matter. Apparently, only those three have fundamental human rights now.
tomorrow this same you will be the one criticising them

Who told you, you’d be lonely at old age when you have money? Haven’t you seen how people (old and young) rally around old rich people? If you have money at whatever age, you can never be lonely. There is always something fun to do with money regardless of the age. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise

The govt removed subsidy on electricity and raised electricity tariffs.
The govt increased taxes and other levies while introducing new ones.
The govt removed subsidy on Education and healthcare
More govt agencies have been given revenue targets including those whose core functions isn't focused on revenue generation. Many Govt agencies all announced skyrocketing revenues generated.
Just last week the govt announced repaying IMF loans.
This week the govt is seeking approval to go ahead with the loan it indicated in the budget.

I am also copying cherry picking from Peter Obi
Why are you angry?
I'm not angry, I don't have any interest there. Infact I really want Nafdac to prosecute those found guilty. Collecting bribe is more like giving them go ahead to continue with whatever they are doing. We're talking about Life and peoples business here.

Up till this moment, Peter Obi has not responded to IMF debt clearance by Fg
Okay let's assume the IMF debt news is late, FG has just paid another $2bn debt to China and India just some days ago
Peter Obi is too petty to be a politician not to talk of being a president of any association
we're talking about Nafdac strangling peoples business, you are here talking about IMF and Chinese loan.

“Sometimes, I struggle to understand Nigerian politicians. The people voted for you, not necessarily because they were in love with your ideas, but because they rejected the other party. Yet, after winning, you turn around and align yourself with the very party the people voted against.
Where is the conscience? Where is the integrity? It makes you wonder—do our politicians truly serve the people or just their own interests?”
do you think that vote counts in Nigeria??

savcy: Well, their loss is our gain. I don't know how the insurance system in that industry works, but shouldn't it take care of circumstances like this? Nigeria is a tricky place. Policies are made without regard or concern about its effects. Well, the marketers can use profit from its sudden rise for the month or so as cushion. The industry is volatile, they should have back up plans by now. Nigeria happens to everyone, regardless of how little.
insurance cannot work in this aspect, the marketers will pad the price of their product, hence making it difficult for payment.

And there’s no law that stops the president from suspending a Governor. The president has the sole discretion to suspend or otherwise under state of emergency. As for Falz and the nonsense he wrote up there, two pipeline bombings are already acts of economic ‘war’.
state of emergency should be declared in Venue and Katsina state too

People criticizing the priest did not read the article. Headlines are misleading. The priest was shooting in the air to ward off the kids, his gun had issues, I a bid to fix it, it went off and hit the boy. Though i am not siding the priest, living in the South East this period is a dangerous affair. If he owns a gun for self defense, I do not blame him. Priests severally have been kidnapped and killed on so many occasions. If he tried to ward off the boys from detonating fireworks I don't blame him, Bangers and fireworks have the same sound threshold in decibels as gunshots, with the insecurity in the land, unknown gunmen on the loose, the least anyone could do is buy and using fireworks. Though he should have invited security agencies right before mass to ward off anyone intending to use fireworks. Governors should have banned the sale of fireworks this period in South East until Ekpa and his boys are curtailed.
you are a wise man
