It always hard to talk sense into those who are not ready to learn.

Canada has higher standard of living than usa, Has more universities per head than usa, has bigger landmass, and higher purchasing power, plus they are always looking for foreigners compared to usa.

If they give you a choice to pick between canada and usa, which one will you pick?

By those standards, does that mean canada is better than usa?

Use your head now. Don't let self hate deride your thinking.

This is dumb, esp since I've lived in both countries before for extended periods. Family has property in the US.

Its good you asked me this question using these very 2 countries then.

I would choose Canada instantly for those very reasons you listed undecided, especially when you factor in the absolutely horrible public transport in the US... and its problematic (complex/expensive?) healthcare. When you couple in a general violent leaning toward young blacks, and how accommodating Canada is for young families, its not even much of a choice.

By those very standards, Canada IS better than the US, and this is persistently recorded time after time in world rankings. In fact, the US isn't even better than any Scandinavian country. Is it even in the top ten these days? That doesn't mean its nonetheless not a solid country.

What's better is better, yo.

Cos I submit Naija is a sh1thole, barely better than Zimbabwe, isn't self hate, its the truth. I'm well travelled and I appreciate what's good and criticize what isn't.

It looks like your smugness and contentment with mediocrity is reflected in not only your life, but in the lives of most other Nigerians. People like you don't have the guts to hold their leaders to higher standards, but want to face people like me who constructively criticize the country. Calling it self hate. For you to even make that comparison shows you have limited understanding of the world we live in.

You said it best, "Its always hard to talk sense into those who are not willing to learn". Go pick up an economics textbook and study about what indices make a country's standard of living to rise, and where Nigeria stands in all that. You'll discover how backward we are in 2017

we all know nigeria is a cesspool, but saying a shit hole like zimbabwe is better than nigeria is an insult.

if you think its better, move there. simple as abc

Not that simple.

In most major standard of living indices, Zimbabwe IS in fact, better. I would happily move to about 94% of the other countries in the world too, if I were to be afforded full citizen's rights. Mathematically, that's a smart move based on statistics. Their standards of living are all higher than Nigeria's.

I notice we Nigerians feel insulted pretty quickly. Embrace the bitter truth and the pain that comes with it. That will motivate us to improve.

With all our machismo and braggadocio, look where we are cry

Bro, pick up a textbook and read it ok? Books don't kill

Is constant electricity being generated and supplied in the first place, before we even talk about paying bills?

no country in africa has constant power supply. even south africa that generates over 30k mw still have some ilks here and there.
last time i checked, south africa are the ones supplying power to zimbabwe

In conclusion, to you Nigeria is fine as it is...

Try to critique mediocrity wherever you see it in life, and strive for what's better. Must we the backwardness of this country just because we're Nigerians? So because no other African country has steady unblinking light, our own cancerous NEPA is doing great?

I'm just trying to understand you. But the things you've written so far are making me weak...

I repeat. None of these imbecil.es bad mouthing Nigeria here could spend ONE WEEK in Zimbabwe, without BEGGING to be returned to Nigeria. QUOTE ME ON THAT ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

There are no starving ppl in here in Nigeria? undecided

Zimbabwe is better... In fact, any country that can provide uninterrupted power is better than us by default. Study some economics and you'll learn why

The post is addressed clearly to a group of people that spoke out of tune recently. So, there is nothing out of place here. Yorubas do not just follow blindly. I cannot say the same for the Southeast with noisemakers drowning out reasonable voices.

I am a Yoruba, just give you a scenario, I am not shaming my tribe but saying the truth.. The Yoruba society is more dynamic than you see it. It is tripartite in nature likewise when voting. There are voters who vote for religious sentiments ( a handful of them) , voters who vote cause of stats let me put it educated ones, those who votes cause of rice and kerosene plenty. But the hunger is now much, come 2019 the major group of voters will be the rice and kerosene. That differentiates them from the east and North those that will vote Gej and Buhari. If not they are traitors to their tribes

Don't worry, I'm sure they will start being 'traitors to their tribe' from now. In 2019, when Al-Mustapha contests in Green Party, the East will vote for him the same way you voted this one. Equation balance.

I know your tribe will like that, abi?

This is just a good piece of thread turned sad thread due to the views of some set of people that do not think rationally but sentimentally...How can 100 people sleep in same place and put their heads in same direction. Why Yorubas are more rational is because we have understood that life is not about all yes or all no, it's sometimes yes and sometimes no.

I take it you're advocating in favor of the herdsmen. Ok naw...

Just make sure you also sleep in a way they can cut that your head

Whaling is popular in East Asia as well as Scandinavia.

So, whale is consumed and relished worldwide. There are international whaling regulations though, for the purpose of conservation and what not. But whale meat and blubber is consumed worldwide, not just here lol

I doubt you actually know what an insult is. Calling Nigerian youths 'senile' (even though that word only applies to the aged) is an insult. So it seems you're are the illiterate one. Maybe

Kid next time you want to quote someone in a faceless forum please do it rightly without insults as it's a stain on your upbringing when you decide to practice barbarism.
Secondly it's idiocy of elephantine proportions to insinuate on a person you know nothing about as I may be your principal and your punishments might be kneeling in front of the assembly.
Thirdly, practice cowardly in the comforts of your cave as not everyone choose to leave on their knees. Many would love to die on their feet.
And lastly, please next time you want to troll do it right. You can attach a meme, a simile or an emoji. Why look partial stupid when you can fully upgrade.

They really don't have to explain. It's no secret that the Nigerian youth is the most senile, not ambitious, scared, lack priority, lack balls and biggest coward to have ever existed. Why explain when the worst they can do is go on twitter, Facebook, Nairaland and curse (empty curses). We where here when the hungry crowds were fighting for police job knowing that the biggest cake (CBN) has been reserved for their (politicians) children. We where here when FRSC lobbed in cousins and nephews of the elicits, and also here when a country whose citizens of about 65% live below $1, yet $45mil cash (15 billion Naira) was discovered in an empty building without a owner.
No please, don't need explain. Rape us as much as you can because we not get sense and truly deserve to suffer. I will either blame my Afonja neighbor, my IBO business partner or my Hausa contractor.

Oh shut up! You that's in an older generation, its your mates and your fathers mates that have been and are still ruining this country. You don't have the guts to face them, you want your children's mates to do your job for you. Aren't you ashamed?

The way they bash the current generation as if their generation is better... talk of youths this, youths that. Nigeria is wrecked because of your age group. Generation of corrupt thieves

To achieve that we asked *who shall we send* the man with *impeccable integrity Mohammadu Buhari was the best tool* to achieve that. we may not perform magic in 2½yrs to solve ur problems but we shall definitely do that. *Even if PMB dies today, the project is still on. Exactly. But THEY are the first who should be consulted, because they are the ones who will die in their millions when it all goes pear shaped. Instead, it is the opinion of London based Nnamdi Kanu that is sought. When the fire gets too hot, he will catch his usual flight to London.
