This is an expensive risk to life just to get an attention from someone who values and uses professional approach to dialogue and for negotiations. People need to be schooled. If you try and you don't get the attention via diplomacy then wait and keep trying. Work with a good management or meet him in places he goes to regularly or through someone that is too close to him.
