See what Tinubu renewed shege hard economy has caused...lack of constant electricity power supply, high electricity tariffs/bills, high costs of fuel, disel, naira deprecriating and losing value against the dollars, high tax payment...all this makes the costs of running bussinesses to be high and making the bussiness to struggle to survive the hard economy which will need the bussinesses to increase its prices inorder to survive the hard economy so that it does not shut down

Curious345:Nigeria is finished! If the immunity enjoyed by the president and governors are removed, and other policy makers are dealt seriously by the law when they misbehave, then they will sit up But as far as there is nothing like that, they will keep on looting with impunity and shouting it will be well in no distant time, since they dont feel the pains, and they are protected by the criminal judiciary system we have here. What do u expect?? |

If they dont want telcos to increase tariffs, then they should subsidize the industry.

Which economy can handle a 100% increase in tarriffs, bills, utility, etc? Sadly, that's what Nigeria has found herself. Gas, transportation, electricity and other essential services and resources that powers the economy experienced a 100 to 200% abrupt increase. No sensible human can do that without expecting the economy to experience shock that might take decades to recover from

While other nations are seriously working out cheaper and more competitive data plans to increase commerce, innovative businesses among young people, and broaden technology. For a nation where subsidies in Fuel, Education, Power supply, Health care have been truncated, what exactly are the huge number of young unemployed and struggling youths supposed to fall back on or use as prop if internet and communication costs fly off the roof?!! How exactly will there be increased youth engagement and crime reduction?!! Think, Nigerian leaders... THINK!!! SMH! 2 Likes |

This is all shades of wrong. All these stereotypical banding of Nigerian communities by their financial capacity is illegal and I'm baffled that the NBA nor any Human Right lawyer has tested this discriminatory practice in court. The philosophy of the Nigerian Constitution from it's first drafting aims at building a free and democratic society, a just an egalitarian society, a united strong and self reliant nation a great and dynamic economy and a land of bright and full opportunities for all citizens (FEG 1981, revised). Just and egalitarian demands that all Nigerians be treated equally, and given equal rights, opportunities, obligations and privileges Now, where is the equality in Banding communities in Band A, B and C. While prioritizing one over another? The argument that electricity is being subsidised is hogwash and no credible documentation nor explanation has been put forward to justify this dubious claim. If it's only 12 hours they can give all Nigerians - so be it! There are many low incomes earners also living in Band A communities doing menial jobs needed. Those people are also forced to pay the high rate of the so-called Band A. And there are those that can afford to pay the Band A rate living in Band C communities. If you can't afford to give all Nigerians equal service it's best you give the one you can afford and not segregated us. This is not Apartheid South Africa. Americans don't joke with the Amendments. Most citizens are aware of their rights under all the Amendments and are not afraid to cite them to the face of any Law Enforcement officer. The philosophy of our Constitution is its foundation. If these corrupt politicians can disregard its foundation like this that means we have no constitutional Rights at all. And therefore no justice!

Economics if scale doesn't apply to these people? Same way indomie ran Scot free. In a country where ur goods and services are paid for every second..... U should not increase ur prices. Oh I forgot..... The shareholders ![]() ![]() ![]() Forget all that talk about operations cost etc. Will they increase salaries of workers? It all boils down to the greedy shareholders |

All those online paid miscreants ing this wicked government will not make any sound because they know that the government is also choking them even harder, but if it's about Peter Obi now, even if the name decides to donate a bag of rice each to every Nigeria, that time them go begin get erection. I'm happy we all are receiving it equally ![]() ![]() |
