I need help figuring out how to subnet this pls. I have a class B network of 172.20.0.0 255.255.0.0 and i am supposed to subnet with VLSM with one network having 8000hosts another having 4000hosts and third having 2000hosts. Then 3 P2P networks with 2 usable hosts per network. This is really racking my head. Pls Help

Let me try. The 8000 host subnet will be 172.20.0.0/19 The 4000 can be 172.20.32.0/20, and the 2000 host subnet can be 172.20.48.0/21. WAN links or Point to Point Links would be some thing like 172.20.56.0/30, 172.20.56.4/30, 172.20.56.8/30. If i may ask what are you going to use a network segment of 8000 and 4000 host for? Are you working for an ISP? |
