Now dont get me wrong, first class is a nice grade to come out with but in the process, dont let it be your main aim, pursue excellence not success, if you pursue excellence, success will pursue you, what i mean is, dont go to school just to cram, cram and cram, rather understand every bit and pieces you are being taught, that way you will be both excellent and successful, I know of some people that were obsessed with first class in our 100l, in 200l they got obsessed with "2 – 1" after so much struggle they said "2 – 2" is not a bad grade at 300level and in 400level all they want is to graduate.

I think hostile should be the right word.
