I'll advise you get an android phone. Psp is last gen. Android has more titles and is the ultimate console since it can emulate several other platforms.

However that price can't get you a good android phone. If you buy any for that price, it will lag/hang a lot.
Another option is to increase the price a little, buy a fairly used phone or buy a new phone that was released years ago from jumia. An OK android starts from 40k.

Check out Nokia 6.1 (not Nokia 6.1 plus) on Jumia. It's 36 k...

Nokia, Xiaomi and Samsung. Due to this covid pandemic and dollar wahala, phones have increased in price. So I can't say a particular model is this price. You can go to the market to check with the 40k budget and see what works for you.
The phone should have MINIMUM of 3gb ram and 32gb rom if he's to enjoy it. Don't worry sir, that falls within the budget.

But if I were you sir, I'll wait till next month. When companies like Jumia do black Friday every November. I got my phone at 50% discount. From 90k to when it was newly released, to 45k. Phones and other electronics get super discounts. You'll have better options then.


However, if you don't want to go thru the stress. Just go to the market and follow the nothing less than 3gb ram and 32gb rom rule.

If you want to buy it for primarily gaming, then the phone will fall short. As powerful as phones are, nothing beats a gadget made for gaming. PSP games run better on PSP. And they are more enjoyable. If he lost his old PSP then buy a gaming unit that he can't move up and down and you can carry into your room when he gets distracted. So if you can get a PS 3 that would be great. There are numerous titles and you can get some disks for cheaper prices on this nairaland. Or you can buy another PSP and if he loses it that's the end for him
