to be on the safe path, since bootloader is unlocked already, just global rom fastboot file and flash yourself, this way, you leave nothing to chance

unlock bootloader and flash global rom, that's the best bet. You cant even have a global rom variant with locked bootloader, it wouldn't boot, seller likely shipped fake rom for you or sold the indian variant for you(since that's the only global version out there)

I think I encountered a problem since I updated to the latest miui version.
My phone no longer changes themes.
I mean, the icons change alright, but the status bar and status bar icons remain the same like stock.
Even the settings n everything still look like the default theme.
I dunno if this problem is peculiar to me or general.
