How To Gather Reviews For Your Book

A major component of a well-selling book is REVIEWS. It's believed that over 60% of online shoppers read reviews in order to help with making decisions as to how good the product they're about to buy is - books aren't different

So how do you gather real reviews legitimately? By building an email list.

Today, I'll show you how this can be done

First of all, what do you need for this strategy to work?

You need 4 things, namely:

1. A good quality book
2. A lead magnet (an ethical bribe)
3. An autoresponder (and landing page builder)
4. A website


Step 1 - A high quality book

Let's assume your book is titled: Pregnancy and Birth - A simple, step-by-step guide for first-time mums

..If it happens to be a high-quality book, then you have option 1 covered.


Step 2 - A lead magnet

You then need a lead magnet, something you can use to gather your customer's email address. For this to work effectively, the lead magnet needs to be relevant to the content of the book and also desirable. In this specific case, a good lead magnet could be a short pdf document titled 10 frequently asked questions (with answers) about pregnancy and birth

You place this lead magnet somewhere WITHIN the content of your book e.g. you can slide it at the end of the introduction section of your book by saying:

" In addition, I have compiled 10 very important questions pregnant women ask most of the time. To get your copy, click here"

You then hyperlink the phrase: "click here" so that when they click on it, they'll be directed to a landing page that requests for their email address.

The landing page could say:

"where do you want us to send you this bonus pdf document?"


Step 3 - An autoresponder

An autoresponder is a program that automatically generates a set response to all messages sent to a particular email address.

An example is, Aweber and Mailchimp

When you sign up and create an autoresponder , you can create a simple landing page that requests the customer's email address.

You also need to create a 3 email sequence so that 4 or 5 days after the customers email is captured, you can send out emails to them asking for a review. You could say:

"Hi Bleep,

You purchased (or borrowed) our book a few days ago. We hope you found the information in it to be valuable. Please, we would really appreciate if you can kindly leave an honest review by clicking here. It'll help us to continue creating better content for you guys. Thanks a lot!"

You then hyperlink the phrase "clicking here" so that when they click on it, they'll be taken directly to the review page on Amazon.


Step 4 - A website

This is where you host the pdf document. You basically the pdf document on your website image folder. When this is done, you'll be provided with a website link indicating the location of the pdf document.

You then go over to the first email in the 3 days email sequence and use this link. The email could read:

"Hi Bleep

Thanks for purchasing (ing) this book. As promised, find below your copy of the pdf document

>> Click here to it <<

Please, we would really appreciate if you can leave a review on Amazon after reading it.

Kind regards,

Bleep"

You then hyperlink the phrase: Click here to it, with the link for the pdf document on your website.

The remaining 2 emails in the 3-day email sequence will be geared towards requesting for emails

and that's it.

I know this may all sound complicated and hard but it isn't....it takes a bit of practice and with time you'll get used to it.

I have writers I use and trust..my students (or those that have the ebook) also have access to my writers. It's part of the package

I've been using the same writers for over 2 years and they always deliver. No need to look elsewhere

- He knows his stuff. A bit expensive but genuine.
- 50%. You'll only get a 10k word manuscript with that amount, which is ok for certain genres. Theres still other stuff needed to blow well like a great cover etc. Some of them you can do by yourself but you need time and expertise. The manuscript is the skeleton of the whole process tho. So either save more or earn more, but definitely learn more.

I have about 40 books but it's 17 that bring sales.

One reason why there are charges to share tips and secrets is because it's A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER.

By the time you're spending upwards of $300 (100k) just to do trial and error to learn how ads work, or test out a new strategy, I think you will agree with me that 30k is a huge savings discount for expedited learning.

June Royalty Update

It's been a bit of a slow start to June. The month of May and June were the slowest month for me back in 2017 and 2018 but I managed to curb that trend last month when I brought in over $10,000. Hopefully, June will equal that (if not better).

With kindle publishing, I try to make sure all 4 channels of earnings are optimized, namely

Having all 4 contributing their fair share helps with regards to maintaining a consistent income stream.
