Seems someone else is already helping him.

Anyways, i simply just rooted, Install TWRP then with that changed to OrangeFox Recovery then flashed AEX which comes with a working Gcam. Backed up the Apk and that's what I've been using since on other ROMs that doesn't come with it.

Anytime i flash AEX once in a while, i backup their Gcam if they've included a new one. I hope this helps.

Any Version of AEX has a working gcam but just to get the latest, thier latest ROM package from their website then backup then Gcam Apk.

Depends. ing the one without Gapps means you'll have to flash gapps seperately (i already have have the Gapps zip file i use for Different Pie ROMs i flash like syberiaOS, RR, etc)

However if you flash the one with Gapps then you won't need to flash gapps again, just Magisk if you need root access.

If you Android Pie - Flash ROM, Flash Gapps, Flash Magisk, Reboot. First boot might take longer than usual.

No, rooting is not required. If you want to root, you will flash magisk

Good news for the guys on Lavender (RN7) as there's now Masik Rom for the phone. Masik is one of the most stable miui-based Rom with customizations

It's all subjective, I've used both of them EU(both stable and beta) and masik from masik x 1...(even when I was still using Vince) and personally I will say I prefer Masik due to its customizations. Some other roms sacrifice battery backup for optimizations but the case is not the same for mason particularly the bugless versions.
