ShininLite: Advise to both men and women. If marriage isnt working out, find a way out. You are not a loser, a failure or disappointment. I my late dad used to pray for his girls to marry men that will a). Not fight to tame their star, b) not make them feel that being strong is a crime c) that will "give" them so much freedom. Never understood what he meant by freedom until years (almost a decade) later. There is this kind of freedom you will have in a relationship ehn, people who do not understand will think you used one juju or the other. Freedom to make some decisions without even consulting your other half(strange I know) because he or she trusts you to make the right one....if you made the wrong decision, they laugh and joke about it and encourage you to make the right one next time. Let your partner be your biggest cheerleader. My dear women, please find yourself feminist ![]() Back to topic biko BTW I am on this thread because I have two family moving to Canada soon Enjoy the below video on marriage/relationship ![]() https://www.facebook.com/1396991720561689/posts/2172859169641603/ 17 Likes |

Yea. It’s 30 cad for the first and 50 for the second. Only going with one box, my dad will bring the other. Tojued: |

Which route and airline was that? Something must have gone wrong. Even powdery foods such as Elubo goes.

Compliments of the Season Everyone.I have two questions: 1)Can my POF be a transfer of TBills (100%Gift Deed from Father-In-Law). Back Story: FIL decided to liquidate some of his TBills as his contribution to this journey. A reputable Investment Management Firm handles his investments so I just opened an with them and the proceeds of the TBills were transferred to my to be used for TBills in my name. The other option was to do a change of ownership of TBills from him to me. What do you think? 2)Does anyone have the excel spreadsheet outlining the Cost of the PR Journey?Ive seen it around and was hoping someone could send to me. |

MumtotheBeloved: I don't believe there is a hard and fast rule to the Tbills arrangement if you're using a gift deed, I think you can write a detailed letter of explanation to back up the transaction. Since you've opened the and money has been transferred from his to yours, that's a straightforward transaction. Here you go 7 Likes 5 Shares |

SkyWalk12: I'm not disputing that it's a hack. Just pointing out the caveat accompanying the hack. Imagine if a family of five with excess luggage take up this deal without being fully aware that they'd have to drag their luggage around Heathrow in-between flights... 2 Likes |

Change of ownership of tbills is a long thing. The liquidation and buying proceeds in your name make sense. MumtotheBeloved: |

For the excel sheet you can factor the following costs too: Sending and receiving ports to AVO Likely cost of resending PR photos if rejected Cost of flight Jennypharb1: |

salford1: Hi Salford, how's Sasks today? This is a long one so pls help in giving your best advice. I'm 30, hold a doctorate in economics. HV a lil over 6years experience as a banker in Nigeria. Not married. Of recent I just began getting tired of the country and thinking of leaving. Just yterday I processed my international port, though I'm awaiting it. I HV a distant uncle who works with GE in Alberta, he's a PR, though we don't HV the same surname. I also HV an aunt in Saskatchewan who's a nurse there and a PR. I am preparing to for ielts exam.... I feel going through the federal program might be too competitive for me..... What do you suggest.... I read Saskatchewan requires just minimum of 6 in ielts ie going through provincial nomination. Can you advice with the pros & con, esp since u are in Saskatchewan .thanks |

Hello everyone. Please, is there any HR practitioner on this thread? I would like to make a few enquiries.
|
salford: 9:33pm On Dec 28, 2018 |
slydog:Sask i okay. I have probably met your uncle twice or thrice in Calgary (i.e.if he worked as an Engineer for GE Nigeria before migrating, then he is likely the one). I am not sure of how pnp works in sask, it may be occupation based if you did not study here, so you might be left with just EE. With a PhD and a good IELTS result, you should easily meet the cut-offs for EE. It's better to check the EE and provincial nominee threads on Nairaland to get the best answer. https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/4843199/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled As per Phd eco, You would likely be over qualified for most bank jobs in Sask. Most banks here are retail/branch banking. You would get a retail banking job but likely going to be underpaid for your level of education. Howevr, there are a few consultancies in Regina that would gladly have someone with a Phd Eco on board, and I have also seen a few Sask Gov vacancies asking for a PhD in Economics. Gov or consultancies would offer you a wage which is commensurate with your level of education. There would be more opportunities for Economists with your level of education in Alberta, especially in Edmonton which is where most Gov of Alberta jobs are located, but you also have more applicants competing for the same job. You can land in any of the two provinces and apply to jobs in both. Whichever one gives you an offer would determine where to eventually stay. 9 Likes |

slydog: Though, you asked Salford but EE is going to be easy peasy for you. All you need is getting 8777: LWRS in IELTS and I'm sure it's something you can do as getting a PhD isn't child's play. I computed your points based on the stats you dropped and assumed a IELTS score of 8777 ; you got a whopping 479 12 Likes |

Please as the year is almost rounding up, ignore any landlord that will want to talk you into not reporting your rent as your expense just because he or she does not want to pay income tax. Keep your tax report straight. Moreover you may even shortchange yourself by not reporting that expense. 24 Likes 8 Shares |

cheromel: It's all part of living in Canada. People get to know what lies ahead of them by reading what is here. I am for anything that will make integration here easy and i jump and what does not relate to me. Let's not stiffle peoples' comments. Some things i have learnt the hard way because no one got to share them here. 14 Likes |
