Please house am back again with my questions,I just received this quote from the engineer handling my project in Lagos for roofing woodwork for steptile aluminum cos the roof is hidden ,please any input will help a lot as I think the quote is ridiculous especially the workmanship,it’s a flat roof I have included the quote and the roof plan too,input will be highly appreciated

Definitely not a real engineer. What type of engineer writes diesel and nails as written on that paper? Quacks parading themselves as engineers. They are too many in Nigeria.

Its a shame, this is where the engineering society of Nigeria need to step in. Seek to criminalise anyone who is not qualified to be an engineer and send out the appropriate task forces to enforce it. Its not rocket science.
Enforcement will always be the issue with egunje

This is something of recent from the EAST where a Client took an architect's sketch n 3d provoking the architect which made him cut off from him and the man even went unpaid.
The next he did was to get his so called engineer,and the work started as normal stuff but on getting to the roofing level the whole building came down.
Wait and see what he now did,he went back to the architect he has stolen from and hurted with police men in his office to arrest the architect.
I know the architect shall win.

Pls we have thousands of quacks engineer like water in this nation ooo.

What are the brand names for nigeria tiles. i know CDK and a couple of some local manufacturers produces tiles .

What are thier brand names? like for example Goodwill is name associated with China tiles and you see this on the carton(packaging) .

So those who have purchased and used NIGERIAN TILES in thier project should please list the names here for us Novice to learn from

Sorry was late Kokogbo is the most expensive hard wood, funny to let you know that 2x6x12(sawmill) is sold @1400each to site(Lagos). Now let apply simple mathematics in 1 2x6 you will get 3 2x2, 2 2x3 & 1:1 2x2 & 2x4. cutting for a line is 30-50naira depending, on the wood I am sure you will get a mixture of wood.
