SOTAJ: @Sotaj, can you please confirm if I will be needing the FRSC letters in Alberta? I will be landing in Calgary next month and all my efforts to get the letter has been abortive. I have a valid Nigeria driver’s license. I can get an international drivers license if need be. Thank you in advance. ![]() 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello House, Please how long is the FRSC letter valid for? I mean is there a validity period for it to be submitted in Canny? I am considering applying for it now to avoid delays when PPR lands. |

Good people, please help out with this issue that has been on my mind for a while now. I may not get the gist well, but I read that when one begins the processing of ones driver's license, you will be asked to hand over your Nigerian driver's license. My questions are these: 1. Will the valid and running Nigerian driver's license be returned to me by the provincial motor transport authority after carrying out necessary verification? 2. If it won't be returned back me, how am I suppose to drive in Lagos without my Nigerian driver's license (when visiting or upon return from a short landing) without having a brush with FRSC? 3. Will it be legal and proper to drive with my Ontario/Canadian driver's license in Lagos while visiting, where i do not have a Nigerian driver's license? Thank you. It will end in praise IJN **Reposted** |

peacengine: I have read somewhere on Nairaland that in Nigeria to say "I am a business" may be a cleaner way of saying "I am unemployed " 9 Likes |

Hello All, I need help in making a choice on which of these 3 schools to do my MBA program in. Memorial University, University of Manitoba and University of Windsor. I have gotten ission to the first 2, and awaiting response from Windsor. From my checks on the web the MBA from all 3 are ranked in the same category, so i can choose any based on standards. Cost wise Manitoba>Windsor>Memorial, with Windsor costing an additional 4M and Manitoba 8M approx compared to Memorial. I am leaning towards Windsor based on the weather and location (would likely be coming with my family), but want to get input from those who are on ground if there is any other reason that should sway my choice towards Memorial or Manitoba. Your views are greatly appreciated. |

wholesomegrace: Ssnag7 requests to have a summary of settlement plans on a single page for easy access. This thread is already spanning into 280 pages and searching information here can seem challenging. There is no way to talk about easy access here. Therefore, I dont think this present thread can achieve the purpose of Ssnag7 request. That is why the thought of a new thread crossed my mind that would be limited to specific information Just my 2 cents 3 Likes |

hello everyone. Landed on sunday after a very long journey in Toronto airport with my wife and two kids. We we're cleared by customs and border officers, signed the CoPR and given a copy each and we we're welcomed to Canada. After some days rest, we went to Lethbridge service Canada center to do our SIN but we we're told our info has not been ed on their database. They however initiated a paper application for myself and my spouse and that we should expect our SIN in 21days by mail. Please has anyone experienced this before? Thanks for your prompt response. 4 Likes |

Hi good people of naira land! I have a concern, please address if you can, thanks! So initially planned to depart naija for ottawa in July but oga has a work thing and insists he can't leave until September . Thing is we have a 5year old we plan to enrol in the Catholic public school system and school resumes 4th or 5th September. Question: Has anyone landed after resumption and gotten their kid(s) into public school hassle free? Considering we will have to get a house in the catchment area before we can apply to the relevant school (I think) Also worthy of note, we're not catholics and we are aware catholic families take priority. Merci beaucoup! |

Blessedluvdfavd: You can enrol your children anytime you land. The school they will attend will be the one in your catchment area except you want to go private or apply for boundary exemptions. If you already know the school you want them to attend, then you need to ensure you find a house within that area. Please check the school’s boundary map well and don’t assume as half of a street may be zoned to one school, while the other half is zoned to a different school. For Catholic elementary schools in Ontario though, you need to show a Catholic baptismal Certificate either for the children or parent. It’s the secondary schools that accept non Catholics. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

We have different motivation in life, but I think in all your decisions, you children's future should come first. Also , the only constant thing in life is change, nothing last forever. Nobody pray for unfortunate situation but it is more dangerous not to take risk (my opinion). Only if I can have just little out of that money as a POF (thinking out loud) IT WILL SURELY END IN PRAISE 4 Likes |
