Please I want anybody that is using honda share what he normally notice before the front leg pull out. Is there any noticeable signs before it will happen?

Yes it gives signs before pulling off. Once u start hearing some squeaking sounds from ur front suspension especially when making a slow turn, get ur legs checked.

The annoying part about those who comment about avoiding honda is they do not own honda cars. They only act based on the bed time story another set of individuals who do not own honda car gives to them. Is honda that terrible?. Please if you don't any experience regarding ball t pulling off just don't say anything and do your findings

Victims of ball t issues are actually the care-free or careless drivers. Definitely before the ball t pulls off, it must have been giving some signs like the unusual squeaking sound while turning which is the most prominent indication.
If unchecked it degenerates to vehicle wobbling- a situation your steering suddenly behaves like a drunk man walking haphazzardly,l mean car dancing on the road.
The next stage is better imagined than experienced, the ball t gives way!!!

Lol, I was almost a victim of this last Saturday, I drive a 2006 accord, I was driving to a friend's wedding when I started hearing the squeaking sound on steering turn, thought it was power steering oil issue considering I just fixed a power steering hose leak a week earlier. Parked and checked the power steering oil level, it was fine, no sign of leak anywhere, call my mech who asked me to bring the car the next day. I drove to the wedding and back home like that (mainland to Ajah and back!), the squeaking was louder and the car was wobbling when I speed.
When I took it to my mech the next day the guy just told me its ball t immediately he heard the sound. When it was removed, it has almost pulled out completely. Mech said I should consider myself lucky. It was the first time I'll experience ball t issue, I have used this car for 8 months and its my first, hence reason I didn't figure the noise is ball t, I would have turned back and park it considering I am not too far from my house when the noise started.
So yes, it always gives signs and if you are not careless (I was and was just lucky) you would never experience the leg pulling.

That's it. If u a type that sturdy ur car (not those that drive their car with all kinds of noise coming from everywhere) u will never have ball t problem with Honda. Even with the squeking noise it takes like 1-3 months before it will pull. Agreed Honda ball ts are more prone to pulling that most cars {also first gen 4runner) especially the bulldog, baby boy and EOD), pilot ball ts don't pull anyhow. But if u r the type that takes care of ur car it will never happen.

I once drove a friend's 2006 Accord and it took me just 5 mins of driving to notice a bad ball t and this guy told me he's been driving the car like that for 2 months. If that thing pull now he go say Honda is bad.

I am an ARDENT Honda lover anyday anytime.

A car would give you signs and signals before mes it is up to you to read the signs carefully and act wisely.

That being said, i need to get an 04/05/06 Honda EOD.

bros and sissies, I'm also on my third Honda, and yes its leg pull is grande, historic and very very common in the accords! those saying 2months, 1month, just know that except u r driving on a tiled floor.... it can pull in as lil as 10mins depending on the extent of damage and the bad road level. those saying only the inexperienced go for ur Toyota, yes Toyota has better suspension save the four runner and this is the older models oh with heavy engine, the EOD can pull even while stationary!

Certainly not a good way to respond to someone having a contrary opinion from yours. It's a choice thing.

The major cause is worn lower ball ts (Kazeem calls this bow t). When lower ball ts wear, they will creak when you turn the steering. The sound is that of a heavily rusted door hinge being forced to open.
Note that this creaking or squeaking as some have called it will be intermittent. It can start after driving for say 15mins and then continue till the car is parked. Once cooled down, the sound may not be heard when next you start the car, but will surely return with driving. It is only a deaf person that will say "there was no sound"
Honda's are good cars and this is coming from someone who is driving a 2003 accord purchased 9 years ago. You just need a good mechanic and I mean an engineer type, not Kazeem. Run away from any mechanic that does not have a scanner. Some who have scanners equally do not know what they are doing. We we have very genuine mechanics. They are many on this forum.

Finally, when replacing ball ts get an original one. When I changed mine, I bought new OEM; cost a lot, but it's been more than 3 years and I don't expect them to wear in a long time

Once you hear noise from the front wheels.. Like metal rubbing against each other.. And your alignment doesn't aim front.. You will also feel a wobbling sensation.. The tyres aren't fixed anymore so they dance on the road.. When in a pothole.. You'll hear a clinking sound..
At this juncture. The ball ts are gone and it's only a matter of time...
I know because I experienced all of the above before replacing the ball ts.
It ALWAYS gives sign..

most comments was born out what people see everyday..The road to my house is very bad and I av lost count of Honda cars with one tyre either running inside or running outside, making their owner embarrassed.....but never seen a single Toyota in such situation for 5 years before the road was fixed.
Why do u think Toyota dominate our roads today and why do you think the resale value of Honda is miserable.
like one earlier said.....you can make your self a sound engineer to use Honda with peace of mind
strong and reliable.....Toyota all the way.

before I go, before u buy Honda check around oh, I repeat check around oh for the availability of recyclables, u pour normal fluid that Toyota will manage, Honda breaks down, oyel nko? power steering oyel na die talk more of gear oyel..... lolz

Honda s will not stop falling my hand. As much as I love this car and will always choose a Honda over Toyota, I feel bad whenever I see one with pulled ball t. Driving home today I saw this very neat 07 accrod (discussion continued) with pulled leg right in the middle of the road. Gave me a bad chill, I been driving Honda for 6 years and never had this problem.. how people dey take use cars sef. Just last week a 1997 Honda accord decided to pull its legs in the morning right in front of my gate when I was about to reverse and go out for the day around 7:30am oh. The funny thing is I was opening the gate when the car was ing, got to the front of my gate and gave way. I want cry, na so I carry bike jeje.

The thing is if u are a carefree person, just stay away from Honda (except the Pilot that has a different wheel set up). The OEM ball ts are very good but I think the aftermarket manufacturers are finding it difficult to understand how Honda makes the Oem ones.
