Whether at the auction or online, I can use my device to bid. So either at live auction,in the hotel, restaurant, church, if I see any cheap car, I buy with my device online
Most of us did and still do the car business by the side, go to any auction it is always filled with 50% Nigerians, i still buy cars for people or give my to be used and take the fee for using it. I know you can bid from anywhwhere and anytime, but the allure of being on ground and seeing cars is real. You can buy from your toilet seat or while making love, but do not mention going to the auction next time simple.

1. A lot of people miss it at "WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE US/ WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THE US/ WHY *HOUSTON* For example?
I want to attend the Yoruba cultural summit as X because of Y and it will go a long way in Z, all together I believe it will be beneficial to my A. Give strong reasons why you are going. And be fast in saying it, so that you wont be cut short.
2. If you don't hear what is said, feel free to ask them to repeat, its allowed.

I personally am of the opinion that number 1 cost you the interview

Thanks everyone on this thread,I really appreciated the advice and suggestions by all towards my interview today June 13th 2017. Though I was denied but it was fun adding that experience to life.

My transcript goes thus;
VO: Where are you going in the US
Me: New York
VO: What are going to do?
Me: Vacation
VO: What do you do?
Me: I am the Managing director of .... and we do car importation and sales from US
VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before?
Me: Not at all
VO: Do you have friends or family in the US
Me: Friends
VO: Do you intend to do any business in US?
Me: Well as an online buyer from IAA Auctions in US, I might take time out to visit two Auction locations in NY just for fun.
VO: How many cars have you imported from US?
Me: Over 60 cars this year alone
VO: How much do you intend to travel with on ur trip?
Me: about $10k
VO: I am sorry you are not approved for US Visa bla bla... and hands me the blue paper and my port

Note: My port is virgin. The lady was busy refusing people and I was praying on the queue that they shouldn't direct me to her and they did. Lessons learnt and experience acquired. I will try visiting UK before US again.

I think if you had read this thread intoto, you would have seen that US embassy is not favourably disposed to car importers. Intact the interview ended when you mentioned you were a car importer (I think). Pele, it is well

Apply after 3 months or more for something as simple as a holiday to a popular vacation spot. That Yoruba summit fell your hand

My ist advice is that u read this thread and apply it to yourself. Take every advice given and personalise it. Develops an analytical brain. Take notes. Don't wait for "special " advice. Hard work pays.
Take for example. I commented yesterday on your transcript. Twice sef. That's my opinion on what went wrong. At least 4other people dropped their opinions. Yet you are still asking for comments from me. I am not a vo however you have a great tool here to discern the minds of the vo. Use it.
I you asking for mock interviews. And I wondered. In my humble opinion, I do not believe you finally read the transcripts indept based on your interview.

2nd. Self assess yourself. From statistics of transcripts here self evaluate yourself. Wait until your circumstance has changed in either work, marriage, travel history etc

Did you get any paper at all? Forget the color thing. All is okay, only apply when circumstances have evidently changed!

Face and finish your studies, then get a good honest job. These are some changes that will are reflect in your application.
(Hope the information in your previous applications do not contain a misrepresentation? If yes, consider forgetting about travel to the US for a long while, maybe visit other countries [that is another change, BTW].)

Good afternoon all, a quick one here please. I seem to have forgotten the way round this (scratches head). I intend applying for a renewal of my B1/B2 Visa soon. I have all my previous US visas in my expired Nigeria port (and I have not misplaced it too).

My travels to the US and other places this past one year plus were done on a new port (combined with the old because of the visas in it). As a result of this new port not carrying a US Visa (CBP stamps are on it though), expired or unexpired, FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSE, should I then just schedule an appointment and go the one-on-one interview route or am I rather qualified for the Dropbox still as I have always done before (if yes, do I send in both ports or what)? Thanks....

LadyG, Seye, Nerf, Tzetzefly, Constance, 9jaStar, Kaptain, wey una? Make una chook mouth put for me....

You qualify for a Dropbox.

Enter the details of your new port in the port number column and submit both previous and new port for clarification.

My appreciation goes to everyone that have contributed on my issue.

Below are my ties in Nigeria
1. Profession: Officer
2. Marital Status: married
3. Children :2(Boy and Girl)
4. Travel History : No
5. Salary (Net): 200000
6. Organization: Private Company but it's an agency to the Lagos State Government (Ministry of Education)

The above are ties I presented in the last application.

So am confused on what to change in my circumstances.

Including the old port won't work because when you do dropbox it must not come with any other additional document unless they requested for additional document (e.g old port with visa) so apply for your dropbox and luckily you will fill the ds160 with the necessary visa number and code... that should give them a clue of what is going on.
