Can you use Naira to pay for services in Ghana? Why will they specify that? You don't pay for services in a country with a foreign currency. It's so simple! You're paying in CAD

Collect your TRV and go when u get to canada u can renew ur port and study permit. It's normal. Since ur port is expiring soon immediately u get der start asking questions on how to go about it or check google

That's not even a problem. The study permit will be issued to cover the period of study, irrespective of the date on visa. The only issue is the person may not be able to travel outta Canada after his/her visa expires, but the study permit will still be valid and with that he/she can remain legally in Canada.

Yeah Canada and USA automatically share visa applicant information (it has been repeatedly discussed on the thread) so not disclosing a refusal from the other embassy can result in a swift refusal.

As per the additional reasons, was this your cousin's first Canada study TRV application? Either way, share his/her profile, i.e. UG or PG, course & program he/she is going for in Canada, what he/she has been doing in Naija since his/her last education qualification/degree. Also, did he/she submit an SOP?

The next best thing is to evaluate why this application failed and then reapply at a future date after having fixed all the loop holes.

No one can tell u if u'll be itted or not. We r not Angels. Just try and apply to at least two schools. If you can afford money for 3 or more, then go ahead. Work more on your SOP too. ission decision is not entirely based on CGPA, they sometimes concentrate more on result for last 4 semesters, referees' assessment, applicant's field/major and SOP.

Pls, I'd like to know the chances of getting a study permit without having to pay the school fee. My sponsor is my in-law. He owns his own company, also partners with a cement industry here and a truck company abroad. I'm certain his effort and that of my family (also sponsor) can cook up a good financial background but can I get TRV with that?

This question has been repeatedly asked and answered on this thread......you just make people unwilling to respond to posts/questions on this thread if you continue to ask questions that have been answered more than 20 times on this thread.

You are not required to make any financial commitment (tuition fee payment, airline/ticket booking, hotel/accommodation bookings etc) before you get ur trv, as it is entirely at your own risk. This is also clearly stated in the Study Permit Guide.
However, some schools offer conditional ission, with a condition that some amount or portion of the tuition fees be paid before a set date. In that case, payment of tuition fees will be considered as a condition for ission, failing to pay will mean you have not met the condition(s) for your ission. But that doesn't still negate the fact that you are paying that money at your own risk.

I was offered ission for January but was later deffered. Now my new letter of offer is September 2016. The school said I should pay the tuition by January 15th. If this payment date is met, how soon can I apply for TRV?

Really don't know if western union works in Nigeria. All you need for Form A ( Student invoice, ission letter, port data page, nysc cert,Bsc cert, and transfer information i.e Instruction for international wire transfer.)

Thanks. However, the approval mail attachment has a validity period which a day before your port expiry date. Is this validity period different from the period of the stud permit period?

Maybe it's just me, but Uottawa, maybe I am not searching the school Web well, but I haven't seen any transfer information as to what bank and all, I know student number serves as number. That's y I commented on bank name. Are u at Ottawa? Any ottawans who can answer this questions. Please.

Diploma transcript isn't impossible to obtain. Just apply for it at the Foundation Program office.
