They start grooming their children from young to become senators, supreme court justices, or presidents. Every school they attend, courses they study, military service, and friendship associations are premeditated.
Usually, one child will focus on the family business while the other will focus on politics, and another on law. Or they'll have very close family friends focusing on something they don't have within.
At the end, they'll all be helpful to themselves to reach the top.

Not sure you can use the invasion of Iraq as an example of this.

Don't forget it was George Bush Snr that won a war with Iraq in less than a week and decided against invading proper and regime change.

So most people feel his son decided to invade Iraq proper and go one step further than his father by completing regime change....which if you look back at history of kings and their successors makes a lot of sense.

So though Dick Cheney might have ed the war, Gerorge W had personally more to gain by starting and finishing it the way his father failed too.

American presidents do not run America, and everyone in America knows that...it is not like it is secret, or a conspiracy.

US presidents run the country in concert with the US Congress. It has been so since the late 18th century, when the instituon of the President was set up in the wake of the Shays revolt.

most of the people who emigrated to the USA...were people who were running away from what they considered one man rule in Europe. In Europe, kings had too much power. And a tyrranical king could usually make life difficult for people who dissented against the majority. The system that is in place in the USA is there to prevent a repeat of tyrranical kingship.


Russia, on the other hand, has been run by one man strongmen for centuries. Anytime they tried proper democracy it ended in chaos. And really it is not their fault. Russia is a large vast country, that over the centuries has been prone to invasion, and conquest (Hence their invasion of Ukraine...it is to protect Russia from being invaded again from the West. And yes, they have good reason...read Russian history from the 12 th century onwards. Ukraine too has every right not to be treated as someone's footstool...which is why I no dey back any side in this war. Both of them have good reasons for what they do).

SO Russia has been run by strongmen, and Putin is the latest itieration of a strongman. And for the average russian,....American democracy confuses them. It is either that they are madt...or there must be some shadowy figures behind the scene keeping order, and ensuring the same polices are in place. (He should learn the difference between the New Deal politics and the neo-capitalist polices that shaped the USA in the 1930's-80's.).


And yes, one can say the same about Russia. Same old system of oligarchic control by a few powerful men and sometimes women over the same country for centuries. Only change was from fedualism to communism to capitalism .
