The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has charged troops of the Operation FASAN YAMMA to go after bandits and other terrorists disturbing the peace in the North-West region, News360 Nigeria reports.

The Army Chief was represented during a special Sallah lunch with troops on Friday of the operation by the Commander Nigeria Army Cyber Warfare, Major General Adeleke Ayannuga, in Sokoto.

He said the military has succeeded in degrading the terrorists and will sustain the tempo as the troops are motivated to ensure victory against all criminal elements.

He emphasized the need for unity among the various sister agencies as well as among officers and other ranks.

The event also provided an avenue for the Army Chief to serve foods and drinks to the fighting troops and also bring them together to sing Morales songs and other events together.

The Army Chief also visited wounded troops at the military hospital at the Giginya Army Barracks where he motivated them and assured them of the efforts of the Federal Government in ensuring that they all recuperate and get back on their feet.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, who was represented at the event, was part of the dignitaries that honored the event.

Different cultural groups also performed to the iration of the fighting troops who used the avenue to celebrate Sallah as they can’t leave the frontline to celebrate with their loved ones.

There are saboteurs right under your nose sir. Until you start from them, your fight against insecurity may not yield the desired outcome

Merely looking at the faces and conditions of the recuperating soldiers almost made me shed tears. See that soldier's leg on acupuncture, see the damaged face of the other soldier, all as a result of being in the Frontline against bandits who will later be freed. The most painful part is that these soldiers has nothing to show as benefits from their sacrifice nor their families enjoying anything from it either.
May God continually bless our gallant soldiers who are genuinely fighting the course of
peace. May God also punish all saboteurs in their midst as well as evil politicians profiteering from banditry and kidnappings.

Because the COAS is visiting they quickly put bread beside the injured soldier in the second pic, after he's gone they will remove the bread I pity this country! If only the government are aware that injured soldiers buy drugs and other amenities for themselves. 10million is allocated for the family's of fallen soldiers but the hierarchy will only give the family's 400k with a tuber of yam and u called this a country? Las las everybody go get sense.

The soldiers in the last picture don't even look excited to see them. It seems they were regretting their decision to the military 🤔🤔🤔

Were you the one that quickly dropped the beside the injured soldier?

Or you were the one that sent someone to quickly put the bread beside the soldier because the CAOS is visiting.

Are you trying to tell us an average Nigerian soldier cannot afford a loaf of bread on a norm?
Yes, the Nigerian system is corrupt and our soldiers are not well taken catered for, but pls don't let us overflog the situation.

Thanks

Life is really unfair.....these ones are busy flexing life and looting funds meant for ammunition....their kids are enjoying the best of good life while the average soldiers from poor struggling families are sent to die in the hands of worthless terrorists and bandits angry angry

Are you aware that some of the top Nigerian military officers are working with the Bandits, Terrorists and Fulani Herdsmen landgrabbing killers They leak classified military operation details to these ragtag militants who then use it to ambush and kill our poor soldiers fighting the bandits. Its a very messy situation...Nigeria is in...and need a honest, uncompromised President that really have empathy and integrity to confront these anomalies among the top military high commands in order to end the insecurity in Nigeria. Looking at the poor injured soldiers brought tears to my eyes, in this life, pray for God to bless your family financially so you won't be a sacrificial lamb to other people's corrupt ambition cry cry

The biggest motivation that can be given to those troops is to give them a good allowance package.

It amazes me that trained forces like the ever gallant Nigerian Army that's has gone for peacekeeping mission in Africa and the UN is finding it hard to defeat and crush rag tag terrorists.

Go after them with brute force and neutralize them.

Why do we keep wasting so much lives and tax payers resources fighting insurgency in which when we capture the bandits, we celebrate them, refurbish them, and re-habilitate them back into the same terrorized zones.

And after a few moment, they ultimately return back to the Sambisa forest to regroup claiming hunger.

What a joke of a system.

In this life, choose your battle wisely. Nigeria is too corrupt a country to sacrifice your dear life.

The average Nigerian is évíl, dubioús and dishónest.

Let me tell you. The government is not the problem of Nigeria. Do you want to know the problem of Nigeria? Take it from me - the problem of Nigeria are the masses.
