Okowa of Delta state for instance was a governor running for vice president in PDP during the last General Elections yet he failed woefully to deliver for his party. As powerful as Oshiomole was as governor of Edo state, he never delivered his state to APC during presidential election because the people don't want to have anything with that party nationally.

Yes, that is the plan. But the point is that they have never really gotten up to 5 percent of the true votes in the so called red zones, that is why they are cowing vulnerable governors to submission so they will doctor results in their favour. A good example is the magic of how APC got about 25 percent in my state Cross River. The result sheet for my PU as ed in the IREv portal was different from what was announced at the PU.
