Are you even sure they have data for TikTok or social media? When their salary is only for food? I'm sure most civil servants haven't watched the video. No time. It's the government that it's paining because it's a reflection of them. A student is the reflection of a teacher. If one student is poor, we blame the student, but of all the students fail, we blame the teacher.

1st paragraph, he said the truth. Why should we be allergic to being reminded of the truth? I am used to saying "ahhh even in the next 50 years I cannot afford that ooo, it's not for people like me" and I don't feel any bad or pressure about it

Truth is truth
So it will be appropriate if I am advertising a yatch and I keep inputing statement like "This one is not for Igbo men. Only real billionaires can afford this"

You gotta use your head even though truth is truth.

They are mad. Someone is doing his business and doing marketing how best he believes it is and the govt is reacting. Isn't it sad and pitiable that civil servants can actually not afford luxury cars?? Is the guy wrong in what he said about civil servants

Lol.

Which car sef can a civil servant's salary afford in Nigeria currently? This is not a good time to be a civil servant.

Las las, the guy for no add salt to injury by mentioning civil servants.

Why should civil servants watch his content? Why should they want to afford luxury cars?

In which country of the world does government workers afford luxury cars - by the prevailing localized understandings of it? Can civil servants in the UK afford Bentleys or Aston Martins? Or do civil servants in Italy drive Lamborghinis or Ferraris?

This country is very disheartening.
Full of very irritating, entitled dunderheads. To think that the vast majority of the so-called civil servants at all levels ( at least 90%) are merit-less misfits who got their jobs through nepotism and corruption, and are even redundant and incompetent at it, yet they feel so entitled and want to live luxury lives for merely being absolute wastes of space!

Besides, the so called warning by the NOA is not even worth the paper it was printed on. What sort of institutional idiocy is this, to purport to enforce subjective 'morals' on a private individual who has committed absolutely no crime? Shouldn't they have something more impactful or meaningful to focus on? Alas, of course the Nigerian body of civil servants prefer to be utterly useless. Always prioritizing low hanging fruits and window dressing activities rather than substantive issues.

what if its a rhetorical question ?? i observe Nigeria are alien to rhetorical it flies over their head

you sound educated yet you missed it
Stevosty: 9:38am On Jun 03
The civil servants are not complaining, I guess the politicians can afford multiple of that.

Sharrap
Which law did he contravene?
Can any average civil servant who is not corrup afford that car? Or when did stating the obvious become a crime?

what if some civil servant just bought that model from him and out of amuzement he is throwing a rhetorical

in actual sense a civil servant can buy that luxury car But in naija reality civil servants wey get those luxury car dey well well

In abuja dey yapa, big estate big cars living above life ... i believe the dealer is throwing stone those e meet are the ones wailing inside the govt

How shameless and disgraceful for FG to open their rotten and corrupt mouth to spit this rubbish. Improve the welfare of your workers.

The advert doesn't make any sense because it puts others down and is capable of promoting get-rich-quick syndrome which isn't good for the society including yourself

When some people are pressured to go into crime, it's people like you again that will complain, if you're lucky to not be victims of such crimes.

We even chastise pastors who glorify riches and prosperity as opposed to salvation

You can your products without labelling others or making disrespectful remarks

It's based on the above that your own post too doesn't make any sense. No be all government statements una go dey find ways to criticise

Start from within..that's the problem. A government where elected officials move around with police escort and convoy of cars....the NOA didn't chastise them. But they jumped to life when a car dealer a private citizen makes derogatory remarks...

National orientation my foot... wink

It's not mocking, it's the reality. No civil servant who doesn't steal can buy food, pay for transport and still have enough saving to buy a car

Be objective abeg.
Them talk wetin no be true?

The guy is even talking about luxury cars.

Can an average civil servant afford a decent car in this present economy?

Nigeria used 2008 Camry goes for over 6 million naira and a level 8 civil servant earns an average of 150k (consequential adjustment to minimum wage made it up to this o).

Rent is high
Transport is high
Food is very expensive
School fees are something else .....

Now what are you talking about?

Actually, civil servants can loot every kobo allocated to their ministries to buy any car of their choice. If you go to Abuja, you'll see that happening. Civil servants even have estates in Abuja.

Let's be mindful of what we put of there in the name of ads because when we end up building a society without an atom of decency and morality, we all will pay the weighty price.

Na people wey efcc suppose interrogate be this but they rather focus on yahooboys … in a sane country how can a civil servant afford cars of 200m and estates ?

Civil servants are the richest in Nigeria today, just that they try as much as possible to hide their wealth from public to avoid whitle blower from seeing them.

can they afford the least innoson car? Of 22million? Most of the things we call luxury here are taxi's abroad.

Wait, will any reasonable increase in salaries make them afford that car?

So, is it about salary increase?
there're no good salary structures for the Nigerian civil servants. If there's a good salary structure or mortgage plans an average civil servant will be able to afford those things u called luxuries. A teacher that worked her life out for 35years won't be able to afford the least innoson car of 22million true or false?
lucianohase(m): 10:08am On Jun 03
If Buhari and worse of it all Tinubu, has not bastardised the economy like this, this man's advert wouldn't have made meaning or ed any message. Another day mtn, Airtel and other mobile carriers will to mock majority of Nigerians who can't afford data and reasonable call cards like before .

See what they have done to your psyche?.
You have given up in surrender of your human dignity to a clear bully government. Isn't this the TRUTH?.
If they think it's not fair and recognize that civil servants are poorly renumerated, they should VEX AND REVIEW THE SALARIES!!....and not to be THREATENING pesin we talk true.
Had it been say he lied, then I can understand their anger.

Na wa o. It isn't this worse during military regime. Someone cannot even express himself again, FG will come up to say nonsense and then make the person go viral the more indirectly. There is nothing bad in the Ad. It simply tells the civil servants to face their front as they are very poor to afford such cars.

I'm a proud civil servant. I'm not trained to live above my means.

There's nothing in a car. I have a Toyota Camry for my family and I'm contented with that.

The DG should have gotten him arrested and charge him for encouraging corruption and if civil servant steals now, they will start to castigate all civil servants.

They should please let us be, we're not complaining.

If truly F. G warned the car dealer then I'll know for sure that F. G truly doesn't have work. Did the man lie? Why does the Nigerian federal government always have misplaced priorities? What a shame.
