No, I see no difference.

That's sad to hear.

Let's see if it solved the other guy's issue, I think he has the same 4kw build as Fboys has.

Edit: just realised you are the one with the same build and it's Rumple that has the 8kw build.

The arguments here between HF and LF inverters is uninformed on one side.

LF / transformer based inverters are being phased out, victron is one of the few companies that offer majority of their products as transformer based. The rest of the industry have more HF inverters than LF in their products catalogs.

Also, you can consider this forum www.diysolarforum.com and guage trends, nobody there is talking about lead acid or LF inverters in 2025.

This is close to what I tried earlier but I will take a run at it again. Thanks much!

Chief did you try it this weekend?

Exactly, I did a test showing how 1.5kva inverter powered 1KW Inverter AC.

Technology is moving towards efficiency, Gone are the day of Surges, except for few who love their old Appliances.

No, I have these 8KWH build.
Maybe I can retry this and see if it will work this time.

That 56⁰c temperature reading for the inverter is kinda high ooo

GloryJoyeux:
Indeed today’s sun seemed like one of the best for solar yield in the past few weeks.

I charged at a steady 9kW (170Amps) for over an hour straight.

Another benefit of 48v systems, 24v system will essentially be 340Amps for same charging speed and battery capacity.

Still the same, boss.
maybe your battery is definitely bad chief, please return it back o.

Haisic have a service center at Alaba international, either they swap out your bms or they outright change your battery.

Good morning Bosses

I have an interesting question. Can I remove the battery of my Lontor rechargeable fan completely and just use the fan like that, via the AC cable? Like, I don’t need the battery bank cos I believe it draws more power. Will the fan still work without the battery connected? Has anyone tried it b4?

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks for the compliment.
Against wood degrading pests, the wooden casings stand no chance.
From this month however, 12v 3.5kwh/4kwh buyers wll have the option to choose btw plastic and wooden case. 24v 7.1 - 8kwh buyers will also have the option to choose btw wooden and foreign metal case.

Pls where can i see your prices for the 12v 3.5kwh with metal case?

Well I guess we praise it because it delivers and is good value for money spent. It's like the days of Lead Acid when beginners like me thought Trojan must be great because its what they use in America....only for me to luckily find places like this that taught me the Indian made Quanta is a far better battery to use because it was designed for tropical climates like ours.

So yes Growatt has it issues (especially if you are forced to rely on their warranty), but it's design is superior to Felicity inverters....and I believe more reliable.

As for the bold, you are the first person to claim I am shouting, but no vex sha. I make a lot of typographical mistakes and I find it easier to read through in bold.

Now permit me to sincerely seek your advice.
Would you advice me to constantly run my deep freezer, refrigerator, occasional washing machine and blender on the 6kw Growatt inverter (from fouani) in a dusty environment of far northern Nigeria with constant 40ºc temperature?

If you think it's OK, I'll get it. If not, give me a better alternative.

no but their main distributor is lagostar at alaba international. But it has to go through the dealer who sold it to you, he should be the one to take it to thier service center.

Been a fan of your builds for a while. Really wish you were based in the south, but that's how selfish we Lagos people are👍🏾

Yes, if you treat it with the respect it deserves.

I believe I had mentioned earlier on here that we use a 5kw Growatt HF inverter backed up with solar and grid, that runs 2 inverter ACs, 6-10 rechargeable fans, 1 deep freezer, 1 fridge, washing machine, blender, microwave etc. with ease.

It's been spotless with no issues. However if you intend to install it with a similar mindset this guy has and under similar conditions, please go where your heart leads you, it makes little sense to spend money and have regrets later on.

177k then, now its 195k. Cause of logistics for bringing it from PHC to Lagos.

Wow. The video you attached. Not much load, yet only 12 months of service. The installer didn't have faith in the Growatt.

Anyway, could be coz of the dusty environment, or he got a faulty device. Because some are claiming here they've used same inverter for 3 years with heavy loads and no problem.

Chief did you try it this weekend?

Thanks for the follow up. Yes, I did. After it went off at 20.8v, I disconnected the battery and used an external 20a charger to charge, and I arrived at a different conclusion. The battery recommended charge current is 40a and all my power sources are under 40, 30a mostly. I figured the battery require serious charge current from 26.4v upward and my charging sources can't provide that. From 26.5 to 26.6 takes almost an hour with the 20a charger. With this charger, I would need like 14 hours for a full charge.

My options now are either to upgrade the inverter to one that charges from 40a and above, or get an external charger above 40a.

Does anyone have any idea about Foresolar charge controller?
Does it work with lithium battery?
My customer wanted to set it but he said was needed. I don't know much about it
