What kind of wives will my children marry in future? - Nigerian man voices concern over indecent dressing of girls at Children's Day celebration

A Nigerian man, Kaeren SimonOyantar Aver, has voiced concern over what he described as ‘indecent' dressing of some girls at a Children's Day celebration in Benue.

"The Children's Day was going on well before this J-Z stole the show. As parents, how do your children dress like this and come out comfortable without being questioned? This is just the few among many children who were dressed half naked in the midst of other parents, and I ask, where are we heading to?

Which kind of a wife would my children get married to in the nearest future?" he wrote.

If you do like the heat, leave the kitchen.
If you do not like what you see, then don't have children.

Try and be one so that your offspring by His grace, will partake also.

Nigerians should stop all these pretence and move with trends around the world.

Dressing doesn't reflect the heart of the person, looking outward instead of inwards.it just their preference and the modern trends.

This is Gen z generation
forget this mad and crazy religious extremist.

I only see a product of mental slavery speaking here... Even those colonizers who came to your land and used religion to demonize your cultures and practices now flaunt their bodies in public every now and then during their spare time, their daughters walk freely in public with just their bikinis while you're busy castigating your own people and culture.

We Africans still have a long way to go.

we refused to inculcate and accept other progressive culture and lifestyles outside our shores hence Africa countries remain at the back bench among nations of the world.

You are dead wrong on this one. We have failed in nearly everything as a people, but the one thing we are still hanging on to is our values. We want to keep it because at this point it's the only thing we have and it's worth keeping.

We are Africans. We are not supposed to move with every trend.

Indecent dressing is not in our culture, same with LGBTQRSTUVWX.
Enlighten me on what indecent dressing is... Before modernization were we not Naked?

Even as of today, there are some locals who don't wear clothes, females only cover their genitals and same with males.

If you see an "indecent dressing", purge your corrupt minds. We've been Naked for thousands of years before modernization and our society was saner.

Of all the problems we have in Nigeria like crippling corruption, selfishness, kidnapping, banditry,419 , meaningless prayers, facetious love of God, the o.p decided to pursue a non issue with his prurient observations. I weep for Nigeria.

Do you know them?
When your daughter dresses that way,she too have donated.

At topic,
I dressed that way growing up. I wore bum shot like crazy. Show belle and still my mum was my best friend and put me tru adolescence to adulthood. It's not by wearing deeper life gowns and jihab. Ladies in jihab are also selling. Go to abuja and see them.

I hate moralists cos they are low key predators.
For snapping those pictures without consent and focusing on some body parts, if the Nigerian police know their jobs, he should be arrested and thrown into jail without going to court.

Those girls aren't just 'kids', they are teenagers and they have sexual drives just like adults.

And that's why (alongside peer pressure) they dress seductively to get unnecessary/inappropriate attention from men.

There is much uncontrollable sexual tension among the youths.
Offpoint1: 9:51pm On May 27
Samantha125:
It's the so called "woke" men like yourself who'd easily get enticed by children.

This is how Igbo and Yoruba girls dressed in the olden days, yet no man had any issues with it.
Like I always said "Anyone who sees indecent dressing, should purge his/her corrupt mind"

We were naked before modernization and society was saner
