A disturbing video has surfaced online showing two Nigerian police officers dragging a young man out of a car and subjecting him to a severe beating. The footage, reportedly captured by a nearby motorist, has quickly gone viral and sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms. shocked

In the video, the victim can be heard screaming, "What did I do?" shocked as the officers repeatedly hit him with a gun and slapped him mercilessly. Another voice in the background can be heard saying, "They searched our cars and found nothing!"—suggesting that the assault may have followed an unprovoked search.

Although the exact location and time of the incident remain unclear, the brutality displayed in the video has reignited public anger over the growing trend of police misconduct in Nigeria. Many citizens are now calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to urgently investigate the incident and address the alarming rise in police brutality nationwide.

The simple thing was to arrest him and take him into custody... Charge him to court and allow the law sentence him!!!

If you check well, you'll see the only reason they're beating him is because he refused to roger them something.

Police brutality is your friend.

When the President is not law abiding and corrupt, how do you expect the security of that nation to act with decorum? It's all about having the right President who would inspire every other citizen to respect human right and order angry cry

In as much as the NPF are fond of such behavior, it is also a crime to resist arrest.
This video does not provide sufficient evidence so any wise person shouldn't be quick to judge.
The best thing has done; publicizing the event, let investigation follow then we see the outcome.

Na your mumuu strong . If they found anything incriminating, they should take him to the station, detain and charge him to court.

Nigeria is a lawless country, hence the reason everything is in shambles. All the negative social vices condemned by the government are perpetrated by policemen! Drug use, armed robbery, kidnapping, extra judicial killings and executions, power abuse, you name it.

That’s why I don’t feel pity for them when calamity strikes.

I how these criminals in uniforms chased a driver near Sawmill Bridge in Ibadan on a Sunday evening after the 2019 presidential election. They were driving recklessly against traffic until, unfortunately for them, a trailer rammed into their car. One officer fell and died instantly.

That day, I realized just how much I despise Nigerian police officers. For the first time in my life, I watched a man die and felt nothing. As other officers frantically made calls, crying, "Commando don die!", all I could think was, "Good, he deserves it".

What disturbs me most, In all my years since, I've never again felt such complete indifference toward death, not for any person, not even a stray animal. That hollow moment revealed something dark in me I never knew existed. Now I pray never to witness such a scene again, because when death moves you less than a stone in the road, something inside has died too

These set of people should be taking out of the country for training. We can live without them for months with Amotekun and other forces in place.

They need serious international orientation.

Sigh... Deep down you know you just messed up with those words.

This isn't law enforcement at all!

This is oppression, brutality and use of excessive force.

There are rules of engagement for law enforcement all over the world especially when dealing with unarmed civilians.

This singular act is unacceptable and can cost not just the jobs of these officers, but a huge loss of money in settlement from the taxpayers funds in court settlement... That's in civilized societies.

Let's stop ing what's wrong and backward, as if we don't deserve better lives.
