Thank you so much for your response. This is so helpful
dvs511:

Separate applications and separate fees.
When sending your documents via courier to the embassy, send together in one package. Plus your travel plans and marriage certificate will let them know you guys are going as one.
Also include your wife’s bank statement even if you’re the one to finance the trip.

It is their usual attitude, they barely acknowledge receipt of email.
When you follow up they will still ignore you.

After they requested additional documents from me which I sent immediately, I sent 4 email asking for update for 3 weeks but they ignored me.

The morning I wrote one last email with the subject begging them to respond to mail, an hour later they responded that everything was fine.

4hrs later, my Visa got approved.

I have a quick question for those who have gone through this stage:

The first time the embassy requested documents via email, they sent a read receipt and acknowledged that they had received them. About a week later, they asked for additional documents, which I submitted later that same day. However, this time, I didn’t receive any confirmation or acknowledgment that the documents were received.

After waiting another week, I followed up via email to confirm if they had received the documents. Their response was that I should send the documents through this email (which I had already used). I re-sent the documents as instructed and followed up again to confirm receipt, but I still haven't received any response.

I’m wondering—does this align with their usual process? I also had to resize the documents to around 1.5MB, and I used a private domain email address. Could that be a factor?

[Ok what are the documents to present to them, Also how to pay. I don't understand that there lang 😂. How can i start filling the visa ? Thanks quote author=dvs511 post=134934587]

You can start your application from this link. Create an and read through the requirements for the VIVIS.
And yes, you must submit your international port together with your application.

Also as a self employed person with CAC documents, try to include your TCC as well. It goes to show your company is actually running and you’re paying tax. It’s an added advantage.

There’s no set minimum balance required, but your should show enough funds to reasonably cover the cost of flights for everyone traveling, hotel accommodations for the full stay, and general spending money. That’s what they’ll be assessing. If you’re including an itinerary, make sure your balance reflects the estimated costs of the activities and locations you plan to visit.

Hi there! Along with your business letterhead and CAC certificate, it’s important to include your tax clearance certificate. It not only shows that your business is active and compliant, but also helps demonstrate strong ties to your country—making it clear you intend to return after your trip.

brlover:
hello house please has anyone applied for tourist visa with CAC recently? Apart from letterhead and CAC certificate, what other documents do I need to show as self-employed. Thanks

My bad. Yes you should write the name and information of the hotel or Airbnb you’ll be staying at.

Good day everyone, please I will implore someone in the house who have gotten their tourist visa either as a single or married couple with kids to create a short guide, it could be in PDF or plain text that will be posted on this thread and can be referenced for a long time. This will be a game changer, because honestly I don't understand these Brazilian embassy anymore and how they turn down your application and yet provide no reason, despite taking time to carefully package your application with the right and authentic documents.
Particularly, I will really appreciate a practical step-by-step guide on how to apply as a family of 4, POF required and documents.

Thank you in advance

I will advise you target study Visa, it is 90+% your visa will be approved and in less than a month, but tourist visa takes long and with high rate of visa denial.

There isn’t a set formula for this. Most times this is at the discretion of the consular officer.
One of the major reasons embassies deny visa is lack of ties of the applicant to their home country.
They want to see that you have a reason to return to your country after your trip. Such as, marriage/family, job, real estate properties.

Documents usually required by most embassies for visa applications are:

- If married, proof of marriage. Preferably official wedding certificate from the court.

- proof of employment. Such as employment letter, salary payslips, letter from your employer showing you applied for leave and it was approved.
If you’re self employed, make sure you have a company ed and provide the cac documents. Also make sure your company has been running for atleast 3 years and you pay tax. So also get your tax clearance certificate for the last 3 years.
A lot of people have cac registration but no TCC. Some embassies know that some of these companies are just ed for visa purposes especially when you don’t pay tax. So it’s a shell company not a actual running company

-if you have landed properties, include the documents to show proof.

- Money (very important). Make sure you have enough money in your . How much? Can’t say.
Calculate like this. If you will spend 5 days there, do an estimate of daily feeding cost for each of you for the 5 days. Add the cost of flight tickets and accommodation. If all comes to say 10m naira, try to have a balance of atleast 15m naira.
You can’t say your trip will cost you 10m and your balance is 12m. They won’t believe you’re using 95% of your savings for a trip.

Make sure the bank statement you provide is running. Don’t just deposit 25m there and leave it, then use it to apply. They will think the money is not yours and you borrowed it.
Use the to do expenses like pay bills, shopping….. make them believe the money is yours and you’re using it.

If you’re traveling with kids, make sure the travel dates you selected are not when the kids are supposed to be in school.

Then hope for the best.
Good luck.

Thanks well detailed and insightful, this is much appreciated.
Although when I applied on aline, I had included most of this, but will continue to improve on this as best as possible cos all my stuff was intact that I even thought I was overshearing.
At the end of the day, it's still their discretion.

Thank you.

Hello everyone! Please does anyone know if Brazilian Consular said Hard copies of documents should be sent only by courier service and not in person. I mean if someone can't book for appointment date for submission again except to send the documents through courier service. Thank you all in advance for your responses.
SugarPg(m): 3:33am On Apr 23
You don't book for appointment, after submitting your documents online, it is the embassy that will give you go ahead to send your hardcopy documents via courier, no in-person delivery.

The message will be sent on your application page.

Thank you for your response, so appreciated. Please for clarification, in my online application I choose 'In person' for hard copies submission and I have also gone through all the process of requesting for appointment date before someone alerted me that it is now only by courier services they accept hard copies.
Do I need to email them concerning this or would they respond with the date I need to send the hard copies via courier service without me sending them email?
