Power (w) = Voltage (v) X current (I)

So your lower wattage with a high voltage, will have a lower current output. Hope you get it?

Which is weird because surely we want higher voltage than current. I think Jinko's setup is best. 550w = 41 X 13a or so.

I prefer my voltage to be lower so I can put more s in series and not exceed a solar charge controller maximum VoC. At the end of the day, power never changes. High voltage or low current the power is still the same - 50V 10A or 40V 12.5A is still 500W

Higher current means higher cable costs and higher losses.

There's a reason why electricity is transmitted at high voltage, not high current.

I reached out to solar assistant complaining about the new deye inverter not working on it.

They responded by releasing a beta update 3 days ago to address my issue. I can now confirm that solar assistant is working perfectly with the new deye inverter SUN-6K-OG01LP1-EU-AM2.

Kudos to solar assistant team for being so proactive.

Is this solar compatible for a 48v inverter?

I have not seen anyone comment on why the Vmp has a greater value than the Voc, and that is different from the norm.

I'm not an expert myself.
Going by the manual, that's already too high for a 24V system.

I assumed your system is 24V, if that's correct then you shouldn't be doing more than 105V.

it’s an mppt cc, it’s fine so long you don’t max out the cc and fry it. And it’s a 12v system

Bro, don't play dangerous game with your cc. Things are costly this days. Most 12v configuration should not even 70v to give room for open circuit voltage rise.
Study your gadgets specs very before any connections.

Hello experts in the house. I’ve been following all the discussions diligently especially the recent ones with regard to the lithium batteries. I am about to upgrade my system to be able to take a 1.5HP AC and also my 1HP submersible pump. Please I need your advice on the appropriate inverter to get ( both KVA (minimum required) and brand ) , the best lithium battery (14-15kwh) and CC (if the suggested inverter is not hybrid), and lastly the appropriate PV array. Thank you. As we all know these things don’t come cheap, so it’s better for one to do due diligence before investing in them, and there’s no better place to get appropriate information like here. Please advise me based on experience and not brand specifications.

My working budget is 3M - 3.5M
Kindly advice please.

Hi, you are connecting the s in series, so it’s the voltage of the s that is going higher not the current.

So no need for thicker cables to level you are insinuating for the dc pv input.

The best pv charger controllers have Isc of 47amps and Imp of 17amps. So its not the kind of high current your are imagining.

I have a different opinion!

Something to note is that when you add s in series in range of 500-1000V cable sizes like 6mm can work just fine and this is also related to most residential and commercial projects.

The voltage of the configuration does not matter as long as yo uare within the voltage range of the CC. Don't get it mixed up

First image at just 8:30am cc is getting 55.6V from the s and delivering 164w of power.

Second image , the cc is actually charging the battery at 13.3v and 13.1amps.


So you can see the high pvc voltage doesn't matter so long you stay within the parameters of the cc

Please clear me as I want to learn more. 12v set up on powmr allowed max of 80v and 48v set up allowed max of 160v.
Are you saying you can subject your cc to 160v on a 12v battery configuration because it's within parameters?
Am just confused....
