The Edo state governorship election petition tribunal has affirmed Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected governor of Edo.

The tribunal in three respective judgments dismissed the petition filed by the PDP, Action Alliance and Accord party.

The tribunal held that the People’s Democratic Party failed to call witnesses to prove its case of overvoting

The PDP failed to call polling unit agents from all the polling units where they had alleged electoral irregularities.

The tribunal added that out of the 19 witnesses called by the petitioners 14 of them were ward and local government agents and the star witness who claimed to be a director of strategy for the PDP played no role in the conduct of the election.

It also added that the BVAS tendered by the petitioners were dumped on the tribunal.

I have always said it, you don't have a case if you can't prove it. Those that have won at election petition tribunals have always been able to prove their cases. You claimed overvoting at polling units and you couldn't provide your POLLING UNIT agents as witnesses to prove it, you're bringing ward and local government agents to prove overvoting at the polling unit, you no dey think?

The case was predicted from the beginning.PDP had no case,it was merely allegations of over voting that they can't substantiate.APC won the last guber poll because of money and political structure.

Just look at the above, after someone will come and claim Judiciary is compromised. How can you claim overvoting and yet cannot call your party agents at the affected polling units to come and defend your allegations.

Same way Elupee 72 wanted to do Gbajue for us in the 2023 presidential elections.

Everyone except losers.
It's cash and carry when you lose but victory for democracy when you win.
Typical sore loser mentality.

Not surprise, we already know the outcome of the judgement before now, Even if PDP heads to a higher court, they will still loose .

PDP has no case to start with. Asue and Obaseki were roundly defeated. Going to court after losing was just a waste of everyone’s time and money. Election losers must stop being sore losers. We must not learn to accept election results in the spirit of true sportsmanship and stop distracting those elected by the people with frivolous cases.

No hope with Nigerian judiciary. People that have the mind to look at us at the face and tell us that FCT is now a state, only to enable them achieve their aim.
