Madam this is Africa and we have culture telling a full grown man to shut up was wrong . A Senator at that.

According to our culture which of the following action(s) is/are not wrong: vote buying during elections, snatching of ballot box during elections, bribing of election officers, Internet fraud, scamming people by not delivering services paid for, littering, jay walking, breaking traffic rules, lying to your church ?

Give a woman power and she'll do one of the below

1. She'll accuse somone of rape or harassment because she knows everyone (SIMPs and feminists) will be on her side.

2. Shell slap a man in minor misunderstanding because she knows most men won't retaliate before the narrative will change to calling him an ab.

3. She'll insult men because she feels she now has power.

4. Embezzle lots of money, way more than male politicians ever will.

A few of them are cool, but most are terrible with power.

If any woman dare slap me.....I go disfigure her face......even my wife will never dare slap me. I might send her to her ancestors....

I think you are probably inexperienced to have cognitive abilities that even a child can easily see.

Someone dished out privileges and felt he could use his powers to dish same to make sexually-charged comments on the beneficiary. Someone felt it was okay and condoned it so long as the privileges kept coming.

There was no single complaint, not even to the husband for over a year that these things happened.

Then privileges were withdrawn. One privilege was chairmanship of a lucrative committee that money flowed in.

Then someone lashed out and broke the rules, claiming she was being silenced.

The vipers pounced on her. Then she ed there was a dossier of past misdeeds and resurrected them in a television station.

(1) We expected her to present her petition to the senate and catch them unawares. She instead went on Arise News and one radio station to start a media trial. She gave them time to prepapre an ambush when she eventually brought her petition.

(2) When she eventually filed a petition, she made mistakes, an indication she was not even conversant with the rules. Reason she broke them out of emotions. She was an adult and could have better managed herself. She didn't.

(3) Over the case of misconduct where she lashed out on the senate and refused to stand in recognition of the senate leadership procession, she had no business sitting in the senate again. You can't obey your own rules, you can't make rules for others.

(4) Over going to the Interparliamentary Union to make a report against AKpabio violating diplomatic protocol, she broke rules and undermined Nigeria. She ought to have resigned on that ground too.

(5) Going to the BBC, Sky News and DW News to do media rounds on her accusations, she undermined the senate and country even further. In one interview, she said the senate operated like a cult. By still insisting she must be there is an ission that she wishes to be a cultist.

(6) Akpabio sitting to preside over the report that asked for her suspension is the principal reason he should no longer lead the senate. Also, many senators have come out to say Akpabio talks flippantly sometimes. That is not the quality of an adult and certainly not expected from a leader.

My take is that both of them have not managed the matter in a responsible manner which taints their judgement and credentials for lawmaking.

You should know that I am not swayed to fake anything to be acceptable to your kind or any public. If that is your strategy, we are not the same and will never be the same.

You are certainly too small to order me to take a side. Don't ever try that nonsense again.
She complained to her husband but you conveniently did not hear it because of your resolve to please the crowd. She had to go to the interparliamentary union to complaign because the Senate is a collection of yes men (and women) that can be bought for a few millions. Akpabio was clearly picking on her, telling her in front of their colleagues how the Senate floor was not a club house, then withdrawing her chairmanship of a committee and finally attacking her over the seating issue. He is an arse hole that is currently licking his painful wounds. He deserves it and if you want to him like many sick Nigerians are wont to do, do it with your full chest and stop wrapping yourself in the hypocritical cloak of neutrality.

Oby Ezekwesilly is a misandrist with deep rooted hatred for men.

She started a fight by calling the man names and used all sorts of insults against the senator just because he is a man but she was quick to start acting like the victim when the man reacted.

A video of the entire confrontation and what lead to it would shed more light on this confrontation. The senate have shown themselves to be a brood of self serving, pernicious and sexist vipers.

Nigerians are Deliberately wicked.
I knew sth triggered that man.
People were online hating and insulting the man.

Nigerian youths really encourage the damage to the country.

Also that woman needs to get her self off our media n political space. M

What jumps out at me from the entire episode is the distasteful nature of the kind of people that populate the APC! It’s like you have to be combative, abusive and thuggish in order to be qualified to the party and be noticed!

They say the Senate is for more mature and experienced minds who have been through life and ought to know how to comport themselves…especially under pressure or if provoked. Did the so called senator in question look like he possessed any of those qualities? He responded to Madam Ezekwesili the same way a motorpark tout would respond to being provoked! I’ve seen him being interviewed on tv before, and there’s just something about him that screams uncivilised, uncultured and combative!

No one is endorsing anyone telling another to ‘shut up’, but like you said, the issue should be looked at from the beginning! He is the one holding public office, not Madam Ezekwesili, and so he is the one who should have acted more restrained in their utterances!

Yes actually

You seem not to be following the rebellion of women currently going in Iran, against the barbaric norms of the IRG...

Give it another 10 years and see what happens
The era of men supplanting women is on its last let's, two to three more decades, and it's a thing of near past (except in maybe Afghanistan)

Oby Ezekwesili celebrates 35th marriage anniversary, says husband is ‘rarest gold’

A former minister of education in Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesili on Friday celebrated her 35th marriage anniversary to her husband, Chinedu Ezekwesili, whom she has described as “the rarest Gold of a man God ever created”.

“We’re 35!” Mrs Ezekwesili said on her Twitter page, Friday afternoon.

“God loves me so much and gave me the wisdom to say ‘I do’ to the rarest Gold of a man He ever created. I am thankful unto eternity for my #EndlessLove. Our purposeful union will forever glorify our Lord in whose Love we’ve grown ours. Loving you all the way!” she said on the microblogging platform, alongside photos of herself with her husband.

She showered her husband with praises: “Through the years….you never let me down. You turned my Life around. The sweetest days I found, I found with you through the years. I’ve never been afraid. I’ve loved the Life we’ve led. I’ll stay with you. Through the years.

She ed old and memorable photos she and her husband took together.

Mrs Ezekwesili’s husband, Chinedu is a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The former minister used the moment of her anniversary to offer marriage advice to young Nigerians.

“It will not always be smooth but I want every purposeful young woman with a vision to thrive in her profession, occupation or entrepreneurship to know she can do all that and still have a meaningfully beautiful marriage.

“I started being more public about mine to help encourage more of our younger generation of women to not feel they have to trade-off marriage for career or career for marriage.

“You can have both. May God always help you to make meaningful choices before and in marriage, in Jesus name,” she said.

Obasanjo’s beautiful words for Ezekwesili

Mrs Ezekwesili, a former vice president of World Bank, is an ardent advocate for democracy and good governance, and a co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls group which has been advocating for the release of the abducted Chibok girls in North-east Nigeria.

“Obiageli (Oby) Ezekwesili is like a daughter to me. Even when she was a minister, I treated her the same way I treated my biological daughters. She is a dynamic young woman who is competent, reliable, and very enterprising,” former President Olusegun Obasajo wrote in April in celebration of the former minister’s 60th birthday.

Mrs Ezekwesili served as minister under Mr Obasanjo.

“Without any doubt, Oby was one of the best talents I had working with me. On a lighter note, when Oby worked with me, she was quite young, but very intelligent. There were three of them at that time who used to ‘drag’ age, and I enjoyed their banters: Oby, Frank Nweke and Nenadi Usman. The three of them were under 40 and then in council. They were always arguing among themselves about seniority of age, and Ngozi used to treat them as juniors. But it was all fun,” the former president said.

Friends, Others Shower Accolades as Chinedu Ezekwesili Marks 70th Birthday

Friends, associates and family yesterday, honoured Mr. Chinedu Ezekwesili, the husband of Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, who celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday.
The virtual event which held via Zoom and was partly covered by Arise News Channel, saw different speakers that showered accolades on Ezekwesili as they commended the cleric.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ezekwesili noted that, “time, as orchestrated by God, is invaluable,” just as he urged those that ed the event to utilise every opportunity for good.
He added: “I have high expectations for each and every one of you. My belief is that every encounter, every assignment, and every opportunity to positively impact someone’s life is a divine arrangement.”
Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Mr. Sam Adeyemi, commended Ezekwesili for being visionary and responsible.
Adeyemi noted that even though Mr. Ezekwesili’s wife is more famous than him, it doesn’t bother him.

“I once asked him if it bothers him that she (Mrs. Ezekwesili) is successful, and he said not one bit. He said he is used to them going out in public and people approach her to take photograph with her and ask him to stand aside.

“He said it has never crossed his mind that, that should make him inferior. He said anything she accomplishes is part of his accomplishment and he can’t be competing with himself. I said this is so instructive.

“In my view, women make half of the global population. If you shut a woman down and don’t allow them to attain their potential, the whole society is going nowhere. So, I want to commend Pastor Chinedu for being a fantastic man who can his woman. Thank you for being a good model for all of us and we pray that God will preserve you to see many more years,” Adeyemi added.

In his speech, Dr. Otive Igbuzor, praised Mr. Ezekwesili for his leadership qualities.
“It takes a confident man to marry a strong woman. There are few men in this country who possess the capacity to marry such spirited women. I wish you many more years of service to God and humanity,” Igbuzor added.

For his part, Prof. Okey Ikechukwu, spoke about Mr. Ezekwesili’s character, saying, “He stands as an exemplary figure, steadfast in his ethical principles, amidst a culture of ostentation and superficiality.” .

Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, that you are a world bank former director and former minister of education and solid minerials and former DG of due process does not make the senator an underling for you to order him to shut up.

Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, you had no right to call him a scoundrel or hooligan.

Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, you had no locus to be part of Natasha's petition, apart from being a woman. You presented yourself as a false witness because you were not a principal witness of the incidences. You probably wanted to give a voice to what Natasha put in her affidavit to be seen to be fighting for her. If you were sure you were not about committing perjury, why didn't you take the oath?

Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, you had no right to call her a disgrace to womanhood. Recall that you had also accused a female senator of having six children for 4 different men on television. You must not conduct yourself without self-control. You also are not in a position to defend Akpabio. Akpabio is the accused, not you.

Both of you took yourself to the gutters and fought like smelly pigs. Oby Ezekwesili had more to lose and should have known better, but she entered the gutter first and seduced the senator to swim with her. He happily obliged.

I suspect Natasha does not really want the case to be heard. She had submitted a petition to the legal practictioners council to have the chairman of the disbarred as a lawyer over a report that he was disbarred in the US. This means that whatever the said under his watch would be tainted with accusations of bias which Natasha desperately wanted to establish.

In conclusion, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan owe their senatorial districts and the entire nation one thing: they both need to leave the senate and move to other things. They are morally bankrupt to be making laws for NIgeria.

Your conclusion is faulty. While we can establish that senator Natasha Akpoti broke the Senate's standing rules and has been running amock with unsubstantiated accusations against Akpabio, we have not established any wrongdoings against Akpabio, so you saying that they both need to leave the Senate is wrong. Even in law, an accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty, so Akpabio remains innocent until the acc can prove him guilty.
